My son was 13 years old. You are. He play it on school with openday the hole day. Thats 20 years ago..She loved it. And I forgot the sound now but now I go to learn it again.
Thank jou.
OMG! I'm 14 now and I played that one or two years ago for a recital, so I must have been 13! what a coincidence. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be faster though unless I played it completely wrong at my recital.
And I can feel you with those mistakes on the left hand. THE JUMPS, It's one of the first pieces that really challenged me, even Alla Turca wasn't this bad. But get it faster and it'll be great.
You'll probably improve a lot after this, I'm learning Fantasie Impromptu at the moment, and I'm just chilling on yt instead of practicing, I wish you the best.
Most people play it fast despite the fact that Joplin actually wrote on the original score 'NOT FAST'. This lad is slightly on the fast side of perfect.
such a good tune.
i would be glad to hear this walking by in the mall.
When you are famous, someone will find this video and share it with the world!
I love this song! I have learned to play Maple Leaf Rag and now is time to move to The Entertainer!
Congrats!.
Well done... 👏👍😊
Thanks Gary.
It's an outstanding piano performance, I want to watch and listen to it over and over again
A bit of a shaky start, but pretty smooth after that. Some understandable bum notes, but a really nice steady pace. So many people rush ragtime. Playing for random strangers is never easy either. I've just started learning this after not mastering maple leaf to any stretch of the imagination, and I struggle with just the intro, so props to this young man. Well done 👍
JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED
Excellent performance! Nothing to add! Bravo!
NICE one son,
A few little rough patches, but overall a nice sensitive and very talented performance. You go! you've got it ALL there, Well done.
Thank you.

I have listened to you playing this for the second time now., and apart from anything else, you have a very good touch on the piano, you don't thump at the keyboard or bash at the notes which in Ragtime is EXTREMELY important or it'd end up sounding like honky tonk music which ISN'T what ragtime should sound like. But as I said before, keep playing, hope you're got a good teacher/ coach. You can and will go far, with the right encouragement.
I Listened to this 1million times it sounds so good
Shame on all those people that listened and walked by and didn’t leave this brilliant kid piano player a tip!
Yeah shame on you for not giving someone who doesn’t need money money, even if you didn’t have change on you
Zavier “Yeah like how many 13 year olds do you know that are independently wealthy playing their heart out in a airport and I’m sure he will gladly take more than just change usually people put in bills anyway?”....
Mick Welch I mean change or bills and he doesn’t need money, he may want it. You don’t shame someone for not giving someone money.
Zavier Absolutely shame on the people who enjoyed and watched this kid and not give him a bill or some change. Shame. Shame....
@@mickwelch8515 If he could play that good then he probubly has a piano at home and that means his parents are rich.
Such talent......PRACTICE, PRACTICE PRACTICE. Good Job, Scott!
Al Dozier. Scott was the composer...Evan is the pianist
@@dcasper8514 Thanks for the correction! Evan is going places for sure.
