I agree w/you regarding the logo font. It's the same w/Tissot. Both original logos were beautiful & elegant. The new ones are modern but dull. They dress down what would otherwise be far more classier watches.
MIDO multifort is an overall very good Sports / Dress watch, however; I still prefer a stainless steel bracelet with a smaller 38 or 40 mm diameter. Many thanks for the honest review.
I have the Mido Belluna Chronometer, Mido Baroncelli Chronometer and Mido Multifort. Two in the metal bracelet one with leather strap . I love the quality and value for the money with Mido . I have other watch brands in my collection but mido is a favorite of mine.
Too bad Mido doesn't offer the COSC version in 38mm. I own the silver dial non-cosc in 38mm, and it's honestly one of the most comfortable and best looking watches I own. It fits perfectly on my 6.75in wrist. It's also super accurate for a standard grade movement. I get about +3-4sec/day
Mido does make an interesting value prop with the Multifort Chronometer here. Honestly, the high polish on the casing was top notch and the aesthetic of the dial superb. Only, bring back the old logo... Otherwise, this is an excellent *do-it-all* piece.
Now that’s a great watch for my giant Yeti wrists. The font is weak but the striping on the dial is AWESOME. Love the screw in crown. That’s a cool watch. Another great review. Thanks for the great work, I get how much time and effort it takes.
*Thank you,* glad you’re enjoying the content! 🙇♂️ The dial is insane in person. Really gorgeous to take in. Also, this is a far better option for your wrist, haha. For sure.
I am confused; Is this dial lumed or not? I have seen black coloured lume compound before, but is this the case here? And if so, what Colour does it glow in?
This watch has an Omega vibe all over, can't explain where exactly This could make sense, if i'am not mistaken both brands are part of the Swatch group. I agree, the logo needs an upgrade desperately! Thanks for the review.
I was considering this watch as it is a chronometer, but then it was a bit too big for me. I decided for the Mido TV Big Date with a colourful orange strap.
I like how everyone talks about the movement as "based on ETA"...well it is a powematic movement. Period. In fact, this is the same movement featured in the Tissot Gentleman.
Thank you for the video. I have version with grey dial and steel bracer. How do you think, is it ok to wear it with casual clothes like polo and sneakers ?
@@grigoryp201 You decide, nobody can tell you what to wear, there is no 'right or wrong' here. If you are comfortable wearing a dressier watch with casual clothes, then go for it! Don't do stuff just because you think it pleases others. Just enjoy wearing what YOU want.
@@grahamyoung622 the problem is, that i dont feel comfortable If i'm not sure that my watch are compatible with my clothes :) unfortunately, i'm not that self confident 😌

Pretty watch, & I agree on both negatives - size & font....but as a Christopher Ward owner I'd soon get used to the font 😉 Not a fan of leather, I'd want it on a bracelet for that price. Cheers 👍👍
the incredible aspect is, that this watch is an automatic certified chronometer. you don,t find an ohter chronometer for this price. chronometer has nothing to do with chronograph. a chronometer certificated watch is very precise watch and more relayable..so its a great choice
Is it REALLY worth paying more for 'Chronometer grade' movements, when the majority of decent movements (even very good Japanese ones such as Miyota 9000, a few Seikos if you manage to get a decent one, Orient) which have been well regulated EASILY run within COSC specs? AND costing way less than the grossly overpriced, overrated offerings of some of the more well known Swiss manufacturers. Personally I THINK NOT. A lot of snobbery and ignorance out there. Does everyone NEED a watch to be accurate to within a couple of seconds a day? NOPE !(this is coming from an accuracy freak, by the way!) Unless you are two seconds too late for that executive board meeting!!!!
As I shared before, my Pop loves Mido. He recently bought this watch and was most impressed. He agreed with you about the font. He also said that Mido has never been known for their watch straps. Guess who was railroaded into buying him a new strap)))))
Hahaha, you know, I may have forgiven the text if the strap was better. Glad he and I have similar taste. What strap did (or are you) getting him? All I’m doing is hunting down certain, vintage Mido’s now. 😵 I think I’m a fan after this week.
Just bought this watch two weeks ago. Through the week it was -1..+2 second per day in comparison to the accurate time. With overall +1 second after a whole week.
So It's been almost four weeks now since I bought this watch (same dial as in video but on a bracelet). What can I say, I love it. The watch is pretty accurate while on the wrist. Somewhere -1..+2 seconds per day as I mentioned before. But they definitely don't like to lay somewhere in the dresser. In this case it can be up to +4-5 seconds per day. It's still fits COSC certification though. And It's not a problem for me because I'm wearing it almost all the time. I think that accuracy may vary for each specific watch and be depended on the season of the year (temperature, pressure and other stuff) and your own style of life and watch wearing. But it's a great watch for sure. Hope this helps.
You left out probably the most important substantive attribute which is that the movement is COSC Certified which certifies the accuracy to -4 sec to +6 sec per day. Besides the nice aesthetics under the hood this watch has a solid movement for this price point.
Nice, but not for me. Agree, between this and the last Commander, I would go with the Commander. It looks more charming. I think for a dress watch reaching such a scale as this particular Mido Multifort, you could do almost as well if not likely better with one of Seiko's modern presage offerings... or better yet, go older and vintage to bring the scale back down to a more traditional classic dress watch size.
This watch is definitely trying to bridge the gap between "office ready" and "casual chic," which I believe is how they describe it on their site. It's a non-traditional dress watch, for sure. Which, I don't mind, it's simply not to my liking (scale wise).
You can't be scared of watch getting wet if you never wash your hands 🤔. For real though why do people worry about this if the watch has water resistance
@@TakeTimewPatrickMarlett I mean if watch is older get it pressure tested or seals redone sure but anything newer I wouldn't worry about. Maybe because I also deal with fountain pens you see modern o rings and seals can last years and years with out service
I have a multifort chronometer bought in 2004. Still running well. Good brand and value for money

I like this offering, almost a “business/casual” vibe. Lovely review mate.
Thank you, brother. Much appreciated. It's definitely a "casual" timepiece. At least, that's how they're marketing it.

Love Mido, I have some pieces from them but not a single one from his more famous; same range, brother!.
To my eye, it nearly rivals the Omega Aqua Terra. That is a lot of watch for the money.

How is the lume on that silver version? Especially compared to the grey/blue version?
Are the hands fluorescent?

No dial is not lumed, indices and handset with superluminova.

Yes I wish it was about 39mm and I could pull off it’s 42mm ,but just prefer a slightly smaller watch when it isn’t a dive watch.

Yeahhh, I feel like I’d get the bracelet if I went for one.
But I’d go with the TIMEX Marlin automatic before this.
