I'm hosting this collaboration to discuss all things "boy mom!" Raising boys is such a blessing, but we all could use some pointers. Here are some things that I have learned in my nearly 10 years of raising boys in regards to homeschooling, parenting and discipling our sons.

You are so right, raising boys and girls are like night and day. But there are so many things that both need to know.

Yes I agree giving them ownership

Better to let them practice now than to coddle them and release the reins completely when they turn 18!

Yes physical labor is so important for boys. It is how God created them.

I have a son who is an only child. I have to do school work for 30-45 mins and then a 15 minute break and then back at it again.....yes! Such a good point about them being surrounded by Godly men and practicing what we preach.

Aidan is 4 and my only child. I told my mom he is a 4 year old with a 6 year old brain. I have to keep him engaged, challenged and active. STEM is his thing. Let him build, take apart, ask questions, tell stories, make up games...if he is bored he get into mischief.

    • @MommaonMission
