Actually "german number order" is old slavic way of reading numbers. This is how 11, 12, 13 came to be. jedan na deset, jedan na'eset, jedan nest, jedanest...
Great content! A fervent polyglot myself, I'm picking up a bit of Slovene before spending a few weeks there this summer. As of early 2022, still no Slovene in DuoLingo :( I took a subscription to '17 minutes languages' instead, which mostly teaches you basic vocabulary.

It is more older. It is Sanskrit feature. About 3500 years old language. And also Sanskrit has full dual form of nouns, verbs and adjectives. :-)
