What puzzled me the most is how you were either super hesitant and didn't so anything or just went full in greedy. And for the love of Gwyn, 2-hand your bonk stick and definitely do not try to parry taurus demon.
Small tip: if you hold down the run/dodge button, you can climb faster on ladders, both upwards and downwards. Looks like nobody mentioned that in the comments.
Painful. The constant fire bombs make me thing your Elden ring build was a ranged kinda build. Get in there with melee. These games are built off it. Especially with the club, dump into strength
What are you talking about, this is precisely the moment he has to use is fire bombs, they make good damage and arent op, he is only doing 44 damage with is club, it makes no sense at all to try to kill the demon only with melee R1s
Practice makes perfect. If you're using mouse and keyboard, switch to controller -DS1 is not keyboard optimised. Hold B (roll button) to slide down ladders
Thank you for all the suggestions and comments! I never expected this much engagement. For those curious, I did beat this guy eventually, but not all of DS1. Maybe I’ll make a follow up video in the future! Also the only reason I beat ER was definitely the amount of co-op at release.
You are pretty decent, better than most in all reality. Just be more observant of your situation and examine every mistake you make with scrutiny. Think about what led to you taking damage and what you could have done to avoid that in every instance you do. Try to avoid being greedy, be conservative with your damage output. Pay more attention to avoiding damage than inflicting damage and you will drastically improve. Practice doesn't make perfect. But practice makes improving possible, and with the right mindset, anyone can get as close as possible to perfection. Even you, especially you.
... you played elden ring?? I did and this fight was easy for me lol. Just use the gold pine resin. I think you get about 3, in the area before the boss
It is yeah, you can try and brute force your way through DS1 but there's no leeway with elden ring. You'd have to play it properly, for a first timer that is

bro tried to parry
int the second half you can see the instant improvement since the start of the fight. you got it
Funny thing, I could only experience a full Taurus demon fight in my 2nd playthrough because the stupid bull decided to yeet himself off rhe bridge
1:12 is where things start going downhill
Considering how you almost won I’d say you did rather well
This is EXACTLY what happened to me in my first fire giant fight.
I'm still mad about that

You've got the ladder strat down, you just need to commit.

You don't need to hold in DS1, you just press to slide down.
@@ChemFrogEngels hah, I guess I just never let go! Either way, I ain't climbing down manually 🤣
@@fromthegamethrone climb down ladder to Kalameet manually challenge (impossible).
@@ChemFrogEngels legend has it that some one tried that, they're still climbing to this day
I've beat it on keyboard, it's not that bad. Also I believe lock-on roll direction limitation persists on both kb+m and gamepad.

no cure for brain damage

I saw it coming, so greedy lmao
If only it didn’t take me until I was 1hp no heals to figure out the mechanics 😂
Your gonna tell me that you beat malenia, but lose to the taurus demon even after cheesing him?
Something doesnt add up.
Maybe it doesn't come across that way on video, but playing DS1 feels completely different to playing Elden Ring.
Malenia is optional so maybe he didn't? Also Elden ring has summons and spirit ashes to make things easier
@@Castreyy good point, but cmon the Taurus doesnt even have combo attacks.
@@ptacptac1592 it feels stiffer, and a bit rusty maybe but not that much different.

insane
Imagine playing ANY souls game with mouse and keyboard
I beat ds1-3 + sekiro + elden ring with it. Not that hard.

RIGHT!?
ye definitely
edit: the bosses are a lot harder in elden ring anyway.
No

Elden Ring isn't harder, it's just more bs. Bosses reading your inputs, etc. It also takes longer to learn because there's so much to it.
Elden ring is supposed to be easier?
You can drop off the top to do a jump attack deal a bunch of damage
get a controller, way easier
Not really.
@@Artleksandr complete souls game beginner, tried Taurus demon on keyboard and died, tried and on controller and no hit
nice try almost got it
This was absolutely painful. I suggest giving up on gaming entirely.
Thanks, I’ll try that!
ur def trolling lol can it be more obvious
You overestimate me and I appreciate that
Use running attacks
