Hey BG, had a very similar hand injury, severed a tendon in my hand due to IED shrapnel - it takes a long time to get sensation back but a good tip is try and touch as many different textures as possible, such as rough, smooth, sharp etc. - and do that as often as possible, just to re-train your nerve endings. Peace brother, hope your recovery goes well!

You could always rip packs until your hand starts having trouble and then just switch up to scissors. You need to give your hand a little workout but you don't need to over do it.
