Jason you are so funny! Carnival foods is such a great idea! And cheese curds are one of my favorites too! You guys have chickens?? Why am I not surprised! Lol! They are pretty cute. And this recipe..... Extremely dangerous! Extremely "get in my belly" !! Love you guys! 🍸❤️
Ms. Jill! Thanks so much for all of your support! We Love carnival foods! Cheese curds are the best. Right now would be the time when the State Fair Happens in Minnesota and the Cheese Curd stands are usually booming! They have a certain squeak of freshness against your teeth! Thats how you know they are perfect! The Chickens are a blast! Love you! xoxo
Just a few recommendations though. 1 tsp of baking powder per 1 cup of flour. This helps the batter stick better. And also freeze the curds about 30 mins to an hour before you fry them. This makes is so the cheese doesn't melt before the batter is ready. Otherwise you end up with melted cheese and it escapes the batter into your oil.
Very nice! Thanks so much for the tip my friend! Going to keep it in mind.. We make cheese curds very often and going to try it your way! These are definitely a family favorite at our house! Yum!
Your enthusiasm is so refreshing.😄 so thank you for that! I tried this recipe and loved it!! I bought the ingredients again. I’m making these cheese curds this weekend!
I do a special recipe with our Jalapenos we grow. I chop them up and mix them with cream cheese and chopped up cheese curds. I then spoon onto a plastic sheet and put in the freezer before frying.
1. Freeze the cheese curds prior to cooking. It keeps them in the batter when cooking. 2. Roll the cheese curds in flour BEFORE you put it in the batter. It helps the batter stick better. 3. Don't put too many cheese curds in the dryer at once because it will cool the oil down.
I want to try your recipe for cheese curds. Can anything be substituded for the beer? Also if you keep your oil free of the floating remnants, it will extend the life of your oil.
Hi Chef Jason🥰🤗🤗....this is something new for me!! I've never had cheese curds but it looks amazing😋😋😋.....can you throw a couple in the direction of Saudi Arabia...hahaha!! I'll be waiting 🤗🤗😋😋 Have a wonderful week ahead Chefs🥰👍
Ms. Farrah! Thanks so much for stopping by! Cheese Curds are delicious and fun! Would be so cool to send you some goodies in Saudi Arabia! You would love these Cheese Curds! Super Yumm! 👍💞
I did this with vegetable oil in a saucepan on a glass top stove. My cheese curds were partially frozen. I used heavy cream and 2% milk and seltzer water. Didn’t have beer or buttermilk. 375 was horrible for this setup. First batch was instantly burned! After the oil came down to under 250 more like 175 it cooked perfectly. Just some edits for other people who may not have all the same stuff.
Oh no chef! Not in this time of night!Maybe ill try this batter of yours and make one tomorrow.I have no cheese curds but maybe i can have other cheese...
These fried cheese curds look super crunchy and it's so hard not to drool when seeing the cheese string when you pull it apart. A great snack idea, thanks for sharing Jason!
Wow, I'd love to try these your Deep Fried Cheese Curds look superb Chef Jason! Unfortunately I don't think I'm able to get Cheese Curds here 😥. Nevertheless I'll just have to subscribe because I can't wait to see more 👍😀!

So Happy That you tried our recipe!! Sometimes you cannot get away from some of them melting, but make sure your oil is very hot. Like at least 375 F. Also make sure your batter is thin. 2 minutes in the oil til golden and pull!
Hi there! Usually people have a hard time finding the curds. Ask your grocer and he will lead you to them or they can order them for you! Happy hunting and good eats my friend!
I can’t ever find cheese curds in the store?!? Are they called something else? I know that’s probably a stupid question 🤷🏻♀️ but I just can’t find them lol so
Hi Natasha! Its not a stupid question at all!! They are difficult to find in some places! Maybe look around where the block cheeses are.. If you still cant find them, maybe ask your grocer to order them for you.. Thats what we had to do! Good Luck my friend and thanks for watching! Cheers!
Yes! You can use for every one cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (fresh or bottled), or one tablespoon of white vinegar.. Let it sit for five minutes.. when its slightly curdles, it worked! Buttermilk substitute and no need to run to the store! Or you can try with regular milk and maybe add a little extra flour for thickness! Thanks for the question! I hope this helped! Enjoy!
That's a great question! Although it's traditional to use the beer, you can just substitute the beer liquid by adding extra buttermilk... we hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 🙂

Actually looks really good! How do you suppose it would taste with a dark beer like Guinness?
Thanks alot friend! I think it would taste good, although the batter might darken. Cheese curds are generally lighter, but I would definitely try!
Love your energy man, you got a new subscriber!
Thanks alot my friend!
@@ChefAdventures Made the cheese curds last weekend and they turned out great!
Very cool! Great to hear that! We love em! We are also on instagram and we have a FB group and page! @chef.adventures on insta and @chefadventures.food facebook page!
Use a Wisconsin beer. Freeze your curds first the batter will stick better and the cheese wont come out. Looks good though
Can the curds from kefir work for something like this?
So I followed your receipt and video step by step. My cheese melted before the batter cooked. Any guesses or is there a step I missed?
So Happy That you tried our recipe!! Sometimes you cannot get away from some of them melting, but make sure your oil is very hot. Like at least 375 F. Also make sure your batter is thin. 2 minutes in the oil til golden and pull!
Where u get curds from
I don’t do beer, what’s the next alternative to that? Thank you
Just omit the beer! All will be well! Thank you so much for watching! Enjoy your cheese curds my friend!! Yummmm!
I've also done sparkling water as a substitute! It works just as well..
Uh, where do we source the cheddar cheese curds you batter and fry ? I've never seen them here on Long Island. Cheddar aplenty, but not curds.
Hi there! Usually people have a hard time finding the curds. Ask your grocer and he will lead you to them or they can order them for you! Happy hunting and good eats my friend!
Its crazy how the minnesota state fair ones are $18 the fact their just cheese curds with batter and deep fried and very simple yet very expensive.. 🤔
I can’t ever find cheese curds in the store?!? Are they called something else? I know that’s probably a stupid question 🤷🏻♀️ but I just can’t find them lol so

is there an alternative i can use for buttermilk because i dont own any
Enjoy!
Gotta use Ellsworth white cheddar curds if you don't live by a cheese factory

Thanks so much Tess! Cheese curds are definitely a weakness 😆 More videos definitely coming up!
I'm curious but do you have to use beer?
That's a great question! Although it's traditional to use the beer, you can just substitute the beer liquid by adding extra buttermilk... we hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 🙂
Put the recipe in the description.
Very nice

Is there a substitute for beer some of us are under age
Bud light isn’t beer but check with your parents first 😎
My friend!!! You can always use a non alcoholic! Will still have the same flavor and also take care of the underage people!!
Miller highlife the Champagne of bottled beer
Nice video, but the music is driving me bonkers
Since people have fire, they can always roast or fry.
Thats right!
I see alot of recipes not add beer. I think you gotta use beer. A lager
Beer!! Yes friend!!! Cheers!
do i need beer?
It's traditional but you do not have to!
