I promise you the MV doesn't capture the true essence of Everybody as well as their 2014 Tokyo Dome performance. That stage gives me literal chills whenever I watch it.
I cannot stress ENOUGH how wild this choreography is in general, but ESPECIALLY in the middle of a full-length concert??? The boys pull energy directly from the sun or something in order to get through this on their tour, I highly recommend watching the live version at Tokyo Dome with over 100,000 fans.
In "Everybody" SHINee are supposed to be toy soldiers and they get their energy and power from the fans. So, in the MV the "creepy" boy or robot, or whatever you want to call him is supposed to represent Shawols who are using their energy to power the SHINee members up. The boy plugs in the power, which sends the electricity to the grid on the floor where the members are laying and it activates Key, which then sets off a chain reaction that proceeds to activate the rest of the members. The fans power SHINee up with their energy and that's why in the beginning they wake up from the floor and in the end, they run out of energy and they disengage and fall back down to the floor to wait for the Shawols to come and power them back up again. All the moves and everything you see, including the way they are dressed, is supposed to remind you of how a toy soldier would look and move. At one point we see Minho give the members an energy boost by pulling Key's pull string, winding Jonghyun's windup key, using a defibrillator to jumpstart Taemin and activating Onew by turning him on with a remote control. In the middle of the performance, where they come together and create that picture in their dance, they are supposed to look like an airplane, that's why Onew spins his arms round really fast like the propeller of a plane. The plane has to do with the fact that they are soldiers and they are depicting a scene from a battle during the Korean War. And the scene with the chess board is showing how they are soldiers engaged in battle as they advance across the board. It's a metaphor for how life is full of a series of moves and countermoves. Similar to the scene in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets where Harry, Ron and Hermione have to play the life-size wizards chess game to get to the Chamber of Secrets. Yet again, SHINee are trendsetters, EDM Dubstep was a new style of music and sound when "Everybody" came out in 2013, and they introduced the genre to the Kpop industry. And combining that with popping, locking and robotics as part of the choreography was also new. (This song and MV was one of the many reasons why SHINee won artist of the year at the Melon Music Awards in 2013, which is one of the biggest and most prestigious awards in Kpop.) And yes, 4 out of the 5 of them have major high notes in "Everybody." That is what makes SHINee so mind blowing. :D If you like this choreography, then you have to check out the dance practice for "Everybody," ruclips.net/video/GUf7hbpmFLg/видео.html. Make sure you click on the CC button so you can understand what they are saying at the beginning of the practice. This is one of SHINee's most iconic dance practices. SHINee has performed almost every one of their songs in concert, so there are live performances of even most of their B-side tracks. However, if there is an MV then that means that most likely it was one of the songs they promoted with. Therefore, it's probably really famous, which means they have definitely performed it in concert many times. All of SHINee's MV songs have become classics, which means they perform them all the time in concert, on variety shows, on award shows, etc. You will find dozens of live performances of "Everybody," as well as all their MV songs. If you want to hear the Japanese version of "Everybody," check out their performance at their SHINee World Concert 2014 at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, ruclips.net/video/P_VJ_flgEVo/видео.html. This is considered one of their most intense and difficult dances and yet they are able to dance just as hard as this, all while singing live and killing it the whole time. Fun fact: Every time they performed this song as part of a comeback stage performance their military-style outfits were a different color. They even had an aqua blue version that was the same color as their fan color. SHINee's comeback stage outfits are some of my favorite of any Kpop group, and they are different every time they perform, but they always stick to the theme of the song or album so it's fun to see every one of their performances just to see what their outfits look like each time. In your free time look up some comeback stage performances and see what I mean. "Married to the Music", "Dream Girl" and "Everybody" were some of my favorite eras.
Okay, 1,000,000% biased - been a Shawol since 2008. What I love that is that Shinee isn't afraid to absolutely go for it with any genre and they slay. I'm always down for EDM but know it's not everyone's thing but you gotta give it to them - it's hard choreo and vocals and they do it live - there is even a funny video of somewhere online of them doing the choreo at double time.
Omg same I have been a shawol since 2008 . The first thing I saw them on was the Chinese show 100% entertainment and fell in love. Have you ever seen it?
This dance looks easy, but you add the phenomenal live singing in te mix and its actually one of the harder kpop choreos out there. Live its something else totally
This video got me into Kpop. My then 9 year old tried to tell me kpop was a band and I went on youtube to prove to her that It is a genre of music and this video popped up first. I watched it and fell down the kpop rabbit hole. Now she's 17 and I still love Shinee plus sooooo many other groups that I can't keep up with them all. She was my kpop buddy for 4 years and then turned Emo on me. Lol
Pre BTS Shinee was my intro to Kpop❣️ I have requested numerous times for you to react to "Can I Get Your Number" 🙏🏼 it's a feel good MV . As always you bring joy with your reactions and I always look forward to the next one 👍 💜
I maintain that SHINee are the best dancers in the industry, and that's on full display in Sherlock and Everybody. I also think they're the best vocalists, too, and that's on display in pretty much every one of their songs.
In Musical Theatre, we never used glue. But tape, yes. Usually, there is a skull cap of 2 sided tape underneath. Or you can even "sew" the hat to bobbypinned hair. No Musical Theatre's hat ever comes off! Including every dance move or flip or dive. If it comes off, the Hair and Prop department is in big trouble! Same with ballet dancers' headpieces staying on. Same for Marching band members marching in a parade. There are "Tricks" to everything. Here's something kind of related. Remember when JK had on that midriff black jacket, and it kept coming unbuttoned? The buttons were resent. JK showed us. But it kept happening. Everyone loved it, but JK was embarrassed. There was no excuse for that! They should have sewn the jacket closed on him. Hand sewing. Many a dress is hand sewn onto actresses. Many a microphone pack is sewn into a costume. Even soldiers have tricks to keep hats on during marching. I guess no one shared the tricks with your troop. It's ok. I'm so glad you were impressed. So funny. You kept waiting for the hats to fall off.
0:30 yes this is the song! You have got to remember this is SHINee they are always out of the box. If we're doing eyeliner start off with a pencil first liquid takes some practice and we don't need ya lookin' like a racoon. And no Guyliner is not different it is just a marketing tactic. This is gonna be one of those I WAS THERE lives can't wait.
You must buy a base mat foundation. Just eyeliner won't work if you're on stage. Then powder. The base and powder go on first. You have to buy theatre waterproof eyeliner. Not the kind you buy in stores!! I promise you. Kohl will "bleed". Most eyeliners bleed. Again, for stage you have to buy professional makeup. You apply it. Then powder it. Then reapply. You wont look that " beautiful" if you don't have a perfect mask of a base makeup and powder on first. But just to see yourself with eyeliner without all that can be done. But you won't get that professional or photo ready look without it. Plus, they are under lights. Without correct lighting, you won't look as good as this guy's close-up. You will look like you have makeup on for Halloween or a party. But you asked for beauty. You have to be careful. You could be allergic to eye makeup. That's the risk with the store bought. And you can poke your eye. Have eye wash available. You need an experienced professional makeup artist. You hate being hot. You will need to be in a cool area. Backstage makeup rooms with lots of hot mirrors and onstage with lots of hot overhead lights you have to be super air-conditioned not to melt. Have a fan handy. You need an outfit too. In my opinion. I would advise going to a cosmetic section in a high class store and ask for them to do your makeup. Or find a theatre person. Or find a man's grooming store that does makeup for men. You have to have mascara too. And eyelid makeup. And rouge. And lipstick. All waterproof. And a hairdo for the complete look. If you just want to try eyeliner. That's ok too. But it seems you want the complete work. Have your guitar ready for a great prop to go with your rock star look. Have fun. Take photos. And we want body roll moves!! Enjoy!
So you regret saying that. I might regret saying this. Dye your beard black. Temporary or permanent. To have that photo shop look. To have that photogenic look or stage look.
Oh. And. You CAN'T do it yourself...without practicing and practicing drawing a curved line right under your eye. You'll need a lighted makeup mirror with 15x. A bigger picture or reflection. Hand towels. Kleenex. And practice to paint a clear straight line with no clumps or blobs. And you have to practice what thickness you want. Thin line? Or wider line. But to keep that line the same while you draw it takes experience. I'm really being honest. DON'T do it yourself. Get a makeup artist. You will cry if it turns out terrible. You will look frightening. You have to outline the bottom and top of your eye. Oh. And I forgot eyebrows. They have to be "shaped" to look pretty or beautiful! Roscoe. Please don't do it by yourself. There are all different kinds of eyeliner to buy. You won't know what works best on your skin or eyes.. Oh dear. Praying! 🙏
Shinee are just great, enjoyed the reaction but the last segment was just priceless. Although I disagree with the chat- an eyeliner pen is probably easier to handle ('cause it's dry and just like any other pen) than liquid eyeliner (which uses a brush and is, well, liquid.) Gel liner might be a happy medium, does use a brush but isn't as wet.
YASSSS ❤❤❤❤ 😂😂😂 you got this you can do the eye liner! You're gonna hurt your eye balls tho with liquid eye liner don't get it in your eye trying to do the under eye parts. Get the gel eye liner that comes in a little round thing with a brush that's separate
I told you. You could injure your eye! Then you have to stop. You can't continue. You're eye will water up and hurt. Then it's impossible to make up on!! Oh, Roscoe. Hire a professional who will volunteer to do it free. And you might blink or move and get jabbed in the eye anyway. Oh geez! Think it through!!
Who is styling your hair? Outfit? You need a great photographer with perfect lighting! You need so much to pull that off. You have no idea. And it takes a long time.
I promise you the MV doesn't capture the true essence of Everybody as well as their 2014 Tokyo Dome performance. That stage gives me literal chills whenever I watch it.
Everybody live version at Tokyo Dome! Absolutely amazing 🤩🤩
Absolutely 💯 💯
4:29 Four different high notes from four different members all in the same 30 sec section? C'mon son!!!! I love these boys!
These ppl don't knooow how impactful and iconic this sing isssss!!!!! they were fighting on the vocals!!!! Just legendary

This song was made to be enjoyed live....
I love shinee 💎 especially Jonghyun's voice...so colorful, unique 😍
Jonghyun 😭❤❤🩹
We love SHINee
I went to SHINee World V and this song was pretty epic to see live. Onew going ham with those helicopter arms in the back.
ALWAYS love anything SHINee
This was my first shinee comeback back in 2013! ❤
This dance looks easy, but you add the phenomenal live singing in te mix and its actually one of the harder kpop choreos out there. Live its something else totally
I had the pleasure to hear this live! Soooo gooood!! 🤩🤩 Thanks for the reaction
Amamos a shineeeeee
Okay! Shinee deep dive with eyeliner roscoe, and we're watching Key's 'born to shine' performance 🤩
This quality of concept made 11 years ago oh my God SHINee is a trend

Everybody was my first comeback with SHINee as a new Shawol in 2013. It will ALWAYS be one of my faves and hold a special place in my heart.
Kindly react to Shinee’s Excuse me miss and Everybody live in Tokyo dome I think, they’re vocals are insane!,,
came for shinee but that last bit cracked me up! 😂

Love that song -- they are so GQ in it
Seconding the request for Your Number 🫠

Yes, but the Can I Get Your Number black dance version is better than the official mv, imo
@@kdfromage9952 I meant that one // the black in white version adds so much to the song.
@@Keke88 Yes! I adore that version! It makes me ridiculously happy watching them sing and dance in their beautiful suits 🥰

Question is Roscoe really for 5HINee Jonghyun and Taemin live performance cover of Internet War? If so he definitely needs to check that out.
So sad you didn't watch the dance shot with this! The cuts in the MV don't do the dance justice!
