    I am 56 years old and this is the first time I've paid attention to Walter Davis.
    At 45 seconds in, I was in awe of what I had seen.
    Michael Jordan has this cat's basketball DNA in him.
    The obvious choice was Dr J as an early influence, but this passes the eye test.
    This man inspired the greatest player in history.

    Walter Davis was a joy to watch any given game he played from start to finish. He was the rare gifted player who could interest the most disinterested person in the game of basketball! He made the game of basketball fun to watch and exciting and did so with artistic flair. RIP Walter Davis. Your contributions to the game will forever be appreciated! Thank you.

    It’s crazy you can see a lot of what would become jordanism style wise from the way he runs the break to the way he gets to the lane and even down to being a gliding athlete more than a vertical athlete. Crack cocaine is one hell of a drug tho😂.

      @@kwekufrimpong8044DeMars mid range shooting is almost as good as it gets. He's a top 10 all time mid range shooter and only #36 on the all time scoring list. If Walter Davis was a better shooter then your saying he's in small company on an elite list of shooters

    • @kwekufrimpong8044
      @kwekufrimpong8044 Год назад +1

      Yes DeMar is a Very good mid range shooter and I'd say he mainly gets those looks because he's a more feared finisher and athlete n defenders will almost give him that rather than a dunk.
      On the other hand Walter was a very good athlete in his prime as well, although not in DeMar's class but was known as a pure shooter.
      DeMar is more of a creator w/the ball in his hands type while Walter was the guy moving w/o the ball coming off screens to get open for that sweet J.
      Different game back then. Less one on 1.
