Thanks for driving thru our little home town. We see you missed the other half of our little town the lower street it’s just like the upper. My wife and I have lived here over 60 years. We used to have a good little town but it has really changed and when down hill. Can’t believe you drove by our home and didn’t stop ha ha. We watch and love your videos.
Its a shame they missed it. I've been hunting like crazy for updates and stumbled on this. Word is water was up to the top of the doors on Lower Street. Loved Beirdocks. Wishing I had more pictures. Hope it's salvageable.
Used to be a booming town, Been lots of big country music stars in that old Carolina building, to many big stars to name. Was called Carolina barn dance. Years ago.
Thanks for stopping in our town! Give us a shout next time you are here and we will give you the grand tour. Sorry you came through on a Sunday when a lot of places are closed or not open yet.
I stayed in Spruce Pine a couple of years ago, and walked from my B&B on a Sunday evening. Everything was closed and saw literally not a single soul in the streets.
If U turned right over that bridge, you would have run into the INGLES on your Left, take a Right up the hill just past the Ingles parking lot, Go to top of hill Bear RIGHT DOWN HIll, U will Drive right to the OLD ENGLISH INN LOG CABIN!! WORTH SEEING IT in person.
The NC State stocks that stream which runs through the city park with trout. It's been at least 7 years since I have been up there to fish. The town looks even more beat-up than it did back then. I think Spruce Pine tells the real tale of the state of our economy compared to the boastings of our last two Presidents.

Great video. I’d rather stop by there and purchase from there than the major tourist places. Thanks for posting.
Our pleasure!
Check out Little Switzerland too!
My favorite NC mountain town. We ate at the City Drive In last time we visited SP in 2019.

My husband was born in Spruce Pine.
Looks like Mayberry on Sunday. A small town that still honors the Sabbath. Awesome!!!
Hey 👋 guys ❤

They havent arrived from Florida yet. !
I agree or California yet
You missed Lower Street where the bars and restaurants were, along with the brewery. That area was just flooded. Its a shame you missed it.
