You know I’m here for your hair gadget videos! 😁 Am I the only one who has full conversations with you during your videos? Then I go to comment and feel like I’ve already said it all. Today’s highlight was “getting a twig and heating over the fire”. Thanks for starting my day off with a laugh!
Sheila, you and I are totally twins. I end up having whole conversations with comments while I read them. That is so me. Like I was actually talking to your comment while reading it. So we’re doing it back-and-forth to one another. It’s totally a conversation.
Oh Rebecca, just wanna thank You for an amazing content You do :) I do own the Dyson Corrale (which is decent in terms of results and keeping my hair healthy) but got tired of its bulkiness and heavy weight so I pulled the trigger and bought new GHD Chronos :) Hopefully my fine hair will be satisfied with the new iron and won't cause any excessive damage :) XX
I splurged on the Dyson AirStrait last year. I really like it - it’s a game changer - but the downside is that it only makes your hair stick straight. It cannot add a wave or even a curl to the bottom. How would you compare it to the GHD..? Thanks so much!
Let me tell you… I have so much to say on this. I love my Dyson air strait but, like you, I find that it only does it stick straight. In fact, if you wanna laugh, the hair that’s weirdly straight in my demo video with the new GHD, that was after I blew it dry with the Dyson air strsit. I try to kind of bend my arm under on the edges but it really doesn’t work. I end up having to use a straightener afterwards anyway. So in all honesty and this won’t be much help to you but, in all honesty, they’re not really comparable because the Dyson is kind of like a blow dryer that also straightens And the GHD is really a product to use on dry hair. I know that the Dyson can also be used on dry hair but it’s too cumbersome for me to do that. I’ve actually kind of been using them in combination. I use the GHD to touch up the Dyson. And I make curls with it When that hair is a few days old. It is not Pennywise. Very foolish.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Still, I’m already in for a pretty penny…so why not be in for another pound. I’ll wait for a sale and then will look into getting the GHD as my second step. Thank you!
Rebecca this was my most favorite video of yours ever ! So cute and funny ! I need a new hair gadget so this is perfect! I love your hair ! And have a great weekend😘
100% I can tell the difference just by looking at the Chronos & Platinum. The Chronos has pointier ends. I like white too lol. Mine is the on the way in the mail. Can’t wait!
If only I still had hair! My hair is less than 1” long. But, I have an older GHD styler. It still works. It’s still fabulous. If I still had long hair I would be tempted to buy this new one. The thing I liked about my GHD was that it really did straighten my hair in one pass. Because it did it’s job in one pass I had far less damage. Yes, Rebecca I worship at the alter of GHD. I would also like to add, mine also hit the tile floor on more than 😊 occasion. I totally get your description of your hair.. You actually described my hair! Misery really does love company.! Whatever you’re doing with your hair these days, it always looks fabulous!❤❤❤
First of all, thank you so much for your kind words and your encouragement. It is definitely a hair journey. I do not blame you at all for cutting yours off. Half the time I frankly want to take a razor to mine and do a Britney Spears. That’s not funny of course but you know what I mean. Ghd honestly are the best ones out there and if I were buying my first GHD, this is the one I would buy. Finally that you mentioned liking your very first GHD straightener. I have a super super old one, one of their very first and I actually prefer it to the platinum. I let my daughter take it away to college with her And she came home for winter break and used my platinum, since hers was still at school, and she was very disappointed. Something about that old school almost very basic technology was really good.
I am ALWAYS ready for a hair gadget video!! 🙌🏼 (I hate that giant box on appliance cords! It make them so cumbersome to use! ) I’m not just saying this…your freshly dried hair is beautiful! The after video was just extra awesome!! Thank you for telling us the new Chronos is basically the same as the Platinum Plus. Three times faster than something already fast is not worth $300+ I am LOVING my Le Duo! I think I got it for $60-80ish! I will stick with it and not upgrade!!! Yay!!! For $200 I don’t mind using my thumb to open it!! Also: YOUR EYE LOOK IS GORGEOUS! It really draws attention to your eyes, but in the most subtle, lovely way. Burberry! Yep! I’m going to have to try these quads! I’m putting a quad on my birthday list for April!!
I think Burberry is a great April birthday wish! I don’t even think I realized that the Le duo had a thumb opening thing. I think it’s almost intuitive so it makes sense. I actually think I really first thought about it during making the video believe it or not. Because it’s not cumbersome. When I tried that big yellow hair straightener thing, that had a very heavy thumb handle that you had to push and you were very aware of it because it was not intuitive. This ghd is beautiful if somebody is buying their first GHD hair straightener. Then, like if it always been your wish to have a GHD straightener, I would just go for this one right off the bat. But if you already have hair straighteners and you’re set, there’s no need to upgrade. I just don’t see why three times faster than incredibly fast needs to even happen. I am impatient and always in a hurry and even I am like how can it be three times faster than fastest?
You know i’m a hair tool person too!! I’ve watched several videos on the new GHD Cronos and like with all things these days, GHD took a page out of CT’s Book of Exaggerations🤣🤣 I would love to find out how those stats are obtained, validated, and under what conditions are they repeatable for the average hair tool user. Even with the remarkable claims, I still think GHD makes the best flat iron on the market. While I LOVE my Dyson, GHD has my heart too. I have several of their hair tools included Platnium plus, the rise, their other heated brush, and the pre- Platinum flat iron. GHD does leave my hair smooth, less frizzy, and long lasting. The stat that tickeled me the most was 3x faster styling! Really? Are they saying that an inexperienced person would be able to achieve a beautiful look of their own creation 3x faster than with other tools 😂 I’d be curious about your thoughts on how GHD compares to Dyson flatiron. I noticed GHD is having a sale (does not include the new Cronos), but wondered if you or others have tried their other products, such as heat protection or hair tools like brushes and combs? I have the Beachwaver and it does work BUT Im leery of the automatic functionality of the tool. It can roll up rather fast. There is a learning curve and I don’t think it’s a worthwhile tool when compared to say a GHD styler which is more versatile, no real heat damage, and no real learning curve. Great video, Rebecca!! ❤❤❤❤
I have SO MUCH TO SAY!!!! First off, yes, the beachwaver, frankly, even the Le Duo, it's all the drugstore versions of the high end. NOT that there's anything wrong with that but you know what I mean. The statistics. Ridiculous and how is it acquired??? Are they watching me? "That curl took her FOREVER. THREE minutes. Now with THIS styler, she's still a klutz but she did it in 60 seconds. Three times faster!" I mean, these tools are pretty fast already. Can three times that even be SHAVED OFF the time???? Less frizz? Who is measuring and PERCENTAGES? It's TOTALLY Charlotte's book of exaggerations. oh the Dyson flat iron I do not like. It's....pretentious. Honestly, it is. No cord and the weird thing that it sits in to charge and the battery popping out for when you hop a flight to Dubai. It's just...too much.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty As always, SPOT ON!!! I know there are some great drug store products but with my naturally curly, heat tool obsessed, and very highlighted hair, I can’t take unnecessary risks 🤣🤣 I listened to those percentages several times for the laughter alone🤭🤭🤭 They are VERY exaggerated. How can those things even be measured and on WHOM? Who is the test group? Ok, I don’t disagree about the Dyson flat iron and ALL Dyson products, they exude gross pretentiousness, and I’m ever soooo guilty of having them, in a few cases I even have more than one, and have purchased far too many for friends, family, and even my beloved hairstylist🤦🏾♀️ Dyson just sucks you in with their stuff and I’m drawn in shamefully🤣 Now, pre-Dyson GHD was my go to high end hair tool. It seems that many hair tools are squeaking up to the price of both Dyson and GHD but those are the only two brands worth the price, in my humble opinion. I probably won’t pick this up, but can always be tempted🤣🤣 My GHD platinum is a work horse and delivers even for me, a hair tool gadget aficionado who struggles with her hair DESPITE all the tools🤣🤣🤣🤣

The one thing I hate about any GHD straightener is that you cannot adjust the temperature. I have bleached hair on the top and natural underneath, so need to turn the straightener down when using on bleached hair
