It’s OK as long as you are healthy and do not need advanced medical care. My friend who lives near Concord had a detached retina. The earliest eye appointment was FOUR months! I got him into the Mass Eye and Ear in TWO days. What was he supposed to do for FOUR months? Lie in bed face up for four months!
You are so fortunate! I’ve lived in New England like 100 years (all my life + or - a year or two 🤪) And all the time I’ve spent in NH and the White Mountains…I’ve NEVER seen a Fisher Cat!!! Very cool. Thank you Marie!
Yeah, a bit crazy that she actually saw one in the limited time she's here...I live in Massachusetts and can hear them at night sometimes but never saw one.
I had one in my front yard in a tree once it was hissing and flashing it's sharp teeth at me. I used to hear them a lot at night in the woods across the street. They kinda sound like a baby crying it's creepy lol. I live in NH btw.
I grew up in New Hampshire and live in Vermont now. I actually lived 3 doors down from the Common Man for 2 years and walked the train tracks past the deer farm to Plymouth where I worked at Biedermans Deli. A fisher cat is certainly a rare sight. I’ve only seen 3 living in the wild and I live in the middle of the woods. I do hear them screaming sometimes at night. It sounds like a woman being stabbed to death. It’s really scary
@@glennrobinson2014 yes, but their common name in the north east is fisher cat. Hence the Manchester NH double A baseball team named the Fisher Cats who are named after the animal.
As you plan future adventures you need to include Minnesota and Wisconsin. The best weather is from mid June to mid August. Build your muscles 💪 up so you can enjoy 3 days or more in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. And yes, there will be mosquitoes.
Marie! New Hampshire - gorgeous! You got a great slice of New England life while visiting there. Beautiful wilderness, cities and towns, a tiny blizzard, loads of USA history - and the food! I anoint you an Honorary New Englander! All you have to do is remove the letter "R" from the middle and the end of your words when you speak English and it's official! 😀 I am pleased beyond measure you enjoyed your visit. So glad you came! You are forever welcome here. Can't wait for your next videos! Travel safe sweet lady!
Bonjour Marie! I'm so glad that you got to have some seafood tacos, I love fish tacos and shrimp tacos, yummo! The car snow remover thing, some say it is easier to use to pull the snow instead of pushing the snow, it looked like you were pushing it and struggling a bit, so maybe if you ever have to do that again, try pulling it and see if that's easier. Anyway, joyeux printemps et joyeuses Pâques! ~Be Blessed
Wow Marie I think you were born to explore the great outdoors. You look so happy when you go on hikes. All those meals looked absolutely delicious. Those are beautiful animals. So lucky to see one. 😊😊😊
I cannot believe that you guys were in my hometown just a few weeks ago. I grew up in Gilford NH and graduated high school there, still live just down the road from there and my sister bought my parents house and is still in Gilford. I used to be a junior ski patrol at Gunstock mountain when I was a kid. We had cottages and lived on Lake Winnipesaukee every summer till I was 11 years old. I am so happy that you were here and had such a great time. Would have loved to meet up and had some food together with you both. Stay safe, happy and healthy. Prayers and blessings to you both.
RUclips randomly recommended your first Boston video to me yesterday but I didn’t get to watch it until today. I was so happy that you were exploring Boston but was ECSTATIC to see you also visited my state of New Hampshire and even Manchester where I live!!! Never would I guess that I would discover a video of a European visiting my tiny state. Usually when I travel abroad and I’m asked where I’m from I just say Boston or “north of New York” if they aren’t familiar with where Boston is. It is so oddly satisfying to see my state getting some love. Thank you for visiting and I’m so happy you enjoyed your time here. I’m also jealous of you spotting a Fisher. I’ve lived in New England for 38 of my 39 years and have yet to see one! I’m now subscribed and can’t wait to catch up on your other travels. I know it’s unlikely you’ll ever be back this way, but there is always a spare bed here if you ever need it 😊
Great video! Glad you were able to see New Hampshire - and a Fisher! Very cool. Looks like you fed that dog A LOT of treats too! Enjoyed the video -travel safely!! :0) 🐺

Wow Marie, you do look sooo very happy. If that smile is a testament to your visit to New Hampshire then i would have to say it was an 11 out of 10 trip. If you do go, try to make it in the Summer, Mt Washington is one of the worlds deadliest mountains, the weather can change so fast, 150+ have died on this mountain 😮

And in the fall you can get the apple cider donuts at their best. If you make it to Maine, get your National Park passport stamp at Acadia National Park. Another gorgeous New England destination. Looking forward to your next adventure.
There are fishers in the Midwest, in the upper great lakes area! I've seen two in Michigan(one in lower peninsula, one in upper). BTW another place you would LOVE would be Michigan, especially the west coast of the lower peninsula(Lake Michigan coast, dunes, lovely coastal towns, lots of forests and wildlife!) and the Upper Peninsula, which is very remote and filled with wildlife like wolves, bears, moose, deer and yep, fishers!
I live in Massachusetts but I've taken a few road trips up to New Hampshire to escape the city life. Always beautiful. It just hits differently with the fresh open air and scenery.
Marie , I still like your videos because they are short and sweet and to the point. When making videos show don't tell and you seem to follow that rule. Going with you on your adventures is just like walking along besides you and seeing what you are seeing. Thanks for showing me a little bit of new Hampshire.
What a great video Marie. You looked like you were having a fantastic time , the scenery was beautiful, the music you used was perfect. It made me feel like I was on the journey with you. Also , the fact that you saw a Fisher, which , as you so rightly said , is very rare, was a big highlight of this trip , because I have friends that have lived in New Hampshire for years, some even living in heavily wooded areas, and have never seen one. And by the way, you did a great job filming it. Now , I have to go get something to eat , because watching you eat that good food,( I dearly love chicken pot pie), has made me hungry. Looking forward to to your next videos. Another excellent job!!. 😎👍👍👍
So much fun watching you enjoy yourself. I hope you visit that area in the summertime especially Maine. Maine has Cadillac Mountain where you can look out and almost see France. lol Stay well and be safe.
Thanks again for visiting some of the really nice parts of New Hampshire and showing them to all to see. Hopefully you'll be back someday. There is a lot more to see!
I use to fly into Manchester and drive up to North Conway NH several times in the winter . Id go ice climbing in the New Conway areas ❤ . Very beautiful state .
Oh my, the steamed mussels looked good and the ale with blueberries, Mmmhmmm. I LOVE chicken pot pie! I have never seen a fisher and I have been all over the US. Good for you two. Now a mink and several species of otter. You have probably already seen a ferret. The scenery is gorgeous as are the Green Mountains in Vermont (Autumn spectacular on the Cank in NH) and the Chic Chocs on the Gaspe. You really are getting a well rounded view of the US. Now, Eventually to the South and Texas. It really is a BIG country with so much to see.
I really enjoy your experiencing things we have every day thru different eyes. Donuts and different seafood for example. I grew up with an Italian market 500 meters away and they had a relationship with a small bakery for French bread. So when I went to Europe that was not a surprise but the cooking was. Some things we do not eat here are horse and donkey, which I saw in France, Belguim and other countries. As for being tired at the end of the day, new experiences and talking in a foreign language is tiring on your brain because it is working harder
When I was a boy and lived in rural southern Maine (Lakes Region), my dad was with a small group of friends at night, when one of the guys mistook what he thought was a sleeping dark cat on the side of the road. The guy walked up and kicked what turned out to be a VERY nasty Fisher, as the animal tore up the guy's boot a bit before running off into the woods. Dad said the guy was scared sh-tless when he found out it wasn't a cat.
Hey, you're in my neck of the woods! I'm from just a little north of there, in Southern Maine :) Such a beautiful part of the country, I hope you liked it!
It always looks like you are having a great trip no matter your destination. When I read you had seen a "rare animal" I was sure you were going to say you saw "Big Foot" ;). Enjoy.
Now that you saw a Fisher, you'll have to come back in the Summer and watch a NH Fishercats baseball game in Manchester. I am glad to see that you made the trip over the Kancamagus Highway, aka, the Kanc. So, you were here for the lovely snow storm. What fun. You sure did make the most of your time while in the Granite State. This Winter has been a very warm Winter so unfortunately, you didn't really get to see it at its finest.
You are so lucky to see a fisher!!!! They are in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, but I've never seen one! Maybe one day! So cool! Those steamers looked delicious--I love seafood but its been awhile since I've had fresh steamers! Jealous, for sure! I have been to New Hampshire once--loved it and loved you video--just beautiful!!!
I love butternut donuts, Sea Dog, fish tacos. My daughter pronounced it " Lake-ah-ba-sock-ee". I know many New Englanders who have never seen a fisher in the wild. Too bad you missed Portsmouth and the seacoast region. I love that you experienced the heavy, wet snow we get in late winter, early Spring.
It’s so crazy seeing you in Meredith and Plymouth. I stayed at The Common Man there last April when my Uncle passed. He and my aunt owned the Inn on Golden Pond that you showed in your clip leaving Meredith for 30+ years until 2017. I watch your channel often, and it was a really cool surprise seeing that on there! ❤️ Edit: Sorry this comment was meant for this video.
It's always fun to have a furry companion during those outdoor excursions. It reminded me of your Arizona videos! Also interesting fact: New Hampshire has a professional baseball team called the Fisher Cats! How fitting that you got to witness an actual Fisher while in New Hampshire! Joyeuses Pâques! 🐣🐰🥚🐇
The hiking views looked beautiful here, and that fisher was very cute! It is indeed still winter here, but we're slowly thawing out! 😭Looking forward to seeing some of Missouri and Illinois next week!
There IS a bird called a fisher (King Fisher is the American species, there are a few around the world). They are the size of a jay but drop like a pelican into a creek or a pond to catch small fish in their beak. The Fisher (the mammal) is really cool! Those are extremely rare to see, you brought a lot of luck with you it looks like!
New Hampshire is beautiful, and considered one of the best places to live in America. Thank you for taking me there. ❤

Edit: Sorry this comment was meant for this video.
I really enjoyed your New Hampshire video Marie😊
Looks like you found some good food wow. Mussels are my favorite.
Really enjoyed watching you enjoy New Hampshire. A bientot
