The queen was right. That means he will make bad decision which will impact the innocent citizens. But she didn't care that : She nor her father deserved such a favor and that he wasn't fit for the job.
Also, if her father makes a heavy mistake, which would be likely to happen, he could get executed or banished. Why would she want such a thing for her dad.
But she didn't even think as far, she just accepted the offer because of greed
I still can’t understand how the guy still wants to marry her, the first thing the girl was worried about was how the others would see her if she doesn’t marry the crown prince and not how to change the mother’s opinion of her.

To be honest, the crown prince is idiotic during this clip. The queen and the people she trusts makes a good point about that girl, in my opinion she’s superficial and only likes the prince because of his power, wealth, and status. The crown prince says that he truly likes her but does she truly like him back? If he were a normal person without any status, if he had all his value taken away from him would she still be there to say “My feelings for him are true?”

i dont know what happened in this story or whatever but i find what the queen did highly irritable, she tricked a girl who doesnt know much abt how political court works and the proper ways to it noting how she was poor and from a lower class not only that but she manipulated her into thinking that if she agreed and her father became a part of the court she would have a chance to marry the crown prince

This portrayal of dugu as this cold hard classist hag is why people eventually tear down monarchies.
She wasn't classist. She herself wasn't that rich. But the point was to find a confident girl who held her family in high regard and wasn't ashamed of her father.
I actually liked this drama's portrayal of the famous couple. They're sensible, don't hurt others but are strong enough to protect themselves and those they're responsible for. In this scene, she's testing if this girl even cares about what her father does for a living or if the girl is greedy to obtain a more fabulous life that she thinks she should have. The girl doesn't take pride in current status and wants to have what she hasn't worked for. Plus Queen Dugu becomes queen because their kind actions.

Did they even send people to teach her proper protocol and manners nope they purposely didn't so she would make a fool of herself. That is classist.

The queen and she both never said she was poor or destitute. Would you be ashamed of your parents occupation or your status just because the guy you like is royalty or some billionaire?
For those saying that her parents didn't teach her well, there are plenty of brats or unkind people raised by normal parents. They never asked her to write or read. Didn't test her education level. The queen only asked her about her family. She answers were generally selfish. That's why the mother didn't like her, because she knew that her son needed someone who could teach him to be a better person to not ruin a whole freaking country. She didn't think her son was the brightest bulb either for that matter.
That being said. I'm not stating monarchy is good or bad. Merely showing point of view of a mother viewing merits of a supposed daughter in law.

It's a 'good' ending in the sense that both main characters (The empress in this clip & the emperor) live to pretty long age and overcome many trials together. However, this show is also about a tragedy. The show is a heavily fictionalized version of the rise of the Sui dynasty, for in depth spoilers you can google that name. The ending is very good, but leaves a depressing aftertaste.
