I luv being at the pt where we complain about having a ol sign
I agree that with 1 year left it doesn't make much sense. But I'll take an OL regardless
Me too, but I think it gets us to 16 which I believe Hugh wants. As long as you've got him he's an option, even if he may not be a starter.
Yes!! My hometown of Winona, MS!! 3A state Champs this past season!!
Cool! He sounds like a heck of a player!
I think with Ronan Chambers you may underestimate his improvement in the last few years. He didnt start but plays in almost every game in 2022. In 2023 he starts every game as a tackle when he wasn't even in the conversation to be a starter in articles I've seen (given Akron coverage isnt extensive). In the first 3 games he was playing right tackle before shifting to left tackle for the rest of the season.
I've been waiting for the day when we could say Auburn's best offensive lineman actually started with the program as a freshman and we may have that early with Conner Lew but i'd much rather hear that said about a tackle. Auburn isn't there yet. Injuries happen and I wouldn't say Auburn is necessarily settled at left tackle because Percy Lewis needs to get focused this offseason on conditioning.
I'll take a tackle who played over 700 snaps last year and started every game. Its a good use of a scholarship.
I hope we’re able to hold on to him till signing day
Lockhart recruitment reminds me of Jalewis Solomon last year. Lets hope he signs
In the end, Jalewis tried to get back into the boat, but we wouldn't offer him the same amount of money as before. I think Tyler has a good chance of sticking.
Auburn may only need an OL from the portal skills for only one year if there is enough offensive lineman recruits at Auburn now that needs a year or more experiences as well as more OL inboards to Auburn after the one year use of the transfer lineman.
I imagine the staff will have to do some work to hang on to this Lockhart kid, with his brother on the Mississippi State roster. Hopefully he's got parents who encourage their kids to chart their own course. As a linebacker, he's probably excited about playing for Durkin.
Good morning war Eagle
My first Auburn game was against State in Starkville
Because this portal thing is new, maybe we aren't aware of the layers of strategy that goes into building a roster. Speculation here, but this could be a move to provide experience, while at the same time, not threatening your young guys. If the staff believes in the future pieces they have, they have to consider how those guys will interpret every signing. Idk... but that seems plausible
I think you're spot on. That's the strategy and the staff have figured it out too. Get a guy who can start or rotate out frequently. You're young guy gets time to develop, even red-shirt, and the portal dude can be a 'bridge' at the position until your exciting young recruit is ready to go. The young guy shouldn't be bothered by bringing him in since he'll be spending that time in development.
Need that hat
Zac turned asian for a second with the word portfolio 😂
Competition in the locker room
I have Chambers as the starting RG over Wright cause of starting experience
Hell e stole a linebacker that was going to Mississippi State. Were there. We’ve arrived baby. War damn eagle
Heard Robin didn't have classes for his majors at tulane
Zach thinks the whole team should be CB's and DB's😂
Someone finally got what I’ve been trying to say.
😂😂 great response
@@LockedOnAuburn😂😂
Crootin?🤦
Maybe they are anticipating losing an offensive lineman to the portal in the near future
Hugh has said he likes to have 16 OL on the team. This latest one was, is No. 16
It’s not even crossing Zac’s mind that the staff isn’t too crazy about Percy Lewis. I know im not one bit impressed with Lewis and believe chambers will win the job if he’s at least decent.
So that's why they got him? No, they weren't crazy about the shape he was in during Spring. So he needs to lose some weight this Summer to get better prepared for Fall camp.
@@michaelbee2165the guy has been in college football for 4-5 years. He’s not going to all of a sudden lose a bunch of weight and get faster and stronger and more talented. He is what he is and he’s not very good.
@@jakepadgett5569He's probably not going to be All-Conference. But ìf Wade can be moved inside that's a part of a OL with a 2 deep that's much better than last year. That means minimal drop off as they rotate guys in and out. I think he helps make the OL big picture better. As always, we'll see.
@@michaelbee2165I’m not crazy about our worst offensive lineman playing left tackle. It’s the most important position on the o line besides maybe center. Left tackle definitely gets paid better.
Adding depth don’t make sense…… SMH. Btw this is probably a future coach. This guy may be able to play but also coach line up in the scheme…… AUBURN FANS THESE DAYS ONLY WANT PLAYERS TO BRAG ON TWITTER & it shows.
What are you even talking about
ahhhhh what?
Facts
Depth always makes sense in the trenches, OL and DL. We can start bragging on players only when Auburn starts winning games. The recruiting is phenomenal, but Ws back it up. 8-4 in 2024 is the launching point. Do that and no one can deny the bragging. As good as the recruiting is now, it goes to top 5.
Do we really want Andy to say his name or somebody else …..
It doesn’t matter how good Freeze does at recruiting. As long as the alumni, boosters, and the yellawood man doesn’t let him have full control of the program he’ll never do what he was able to do at ole miss. And Auburn will continue being the little red headed step child making the SEC look bad. Get those people tf out of Auburn athletics and let Freeze do what he was hired to do. Only then will you see real success
LAUGHABLE. without "those people" there is no program, no stadium, no W performance athletic facility... nothing.
"Get off my lawn" rant for Turd Town Trolls...GTFO
LAUGHABLE...Turd Town Troll alert 🚨
@@autk lol there’s a reason Auburn only has two national titles. And 2010 was because of one exceptional player. Like it or not if y’all don’t get those mfers gone that sabotages all your coaches auburn will never achieve elite status. A great example is Peyton Thorne. HE IS NOT THE GUY. Freeze is too smart and he knows that. So why is he still the man? Think about it big guy. Higher powers make the decisions and run the program at Auburn. Not the coach
Coach Freeze has full control of Auburn Football team. The guys you hinted at are all in line behind Hugh letting do whatever he wants/needs. Plus giving him the $$ to build the roster.Every elite football program has boosters that are close to the program.
@@buddyskinner1633 until Freeze wins a couple nattys I won’t believe you and nobody else will either. There’s a huge difference between boosters and alumni forking out money wanting to see the program succeed and booster meddling. The meddling is the root cause of Auburns current state and until it stops it won’t get much better
