You are the man!!! I really appreciate how technical you are with your approach, and your presentation is absolutely top-shelf... well-spoken, clear, and easily understood. Thank you very much for putting this information out there for us.

Thanks for the tips man! Super generous of y’all to have all of this available to the public. I’ve already put more fish on the bank just by watching a few of your videos🔥
Been going to the Asian fish market for years. They come in packs already dehydrated for you. You can also get small shrimp dehydrated as well. Only thing is the gut is still in but works great in the coffee grinder. Very cool you do it yourself. Where do you get tuna belly? Great tutorial DI👏
Thanks Ryan, tuna belly I get from guys who fish tuna out of Westport. I just ask them to save me some bellies and then I vacuum pack and freeze until I use them.
I was wondering if you had to choose maybe 2 or 3 go to powders to create which ones would they be? I’d be targeting coho and spring salmon out in chilliwack BC Canada. Anywhere from lower river with some tidal influence to a little bit further up but I never actually venture too high up into the Vedder system. Would they be krill, sardine, mackerel? Thanks for your videos! They are honestly a hidden gem, don’t know how you don’t have more subscribers!
Great video and idea. I was wondering where you store the bottles of powder? Frig, room temp, garage shelf, ect? And how long will it stay good? A couple months, a year, or more? Thanks
Another great video. I just got my fish flesh specific dehydrator and can’t wait to try this. You mentioned this is good for king and silvers, what about steelhead?
I haven't really played around too much with Steelhead, other than doing sandshrimp on eggs cured for fishing steelhead. If I was going to get a little more serious, I would do, sand shrimp, coon shrimp and squid, as three separate options to add to eggs. But I fish artificials, 75% of the time anymore, so that's probably the reason I haven't pursued it as much as Salmon..

Great video buddy! Definitely going to start doing this more!

I have just stored them in the garage and they seem t do fine.
Sorry, one more question. Have you done sand shrimp and if so do you try to get their guts out? Maybe just do the tails??
I just cut them into chunks and dehydrate. I leave the guts in because there is a lot of the oils and scent in there. Once dried, it's not an issue.

@@FishHuntNorthwest awesome. Thanks a million.
Would ground trout work?
Hey Jon, never tried it. So you never know. Not sure how much ground trout and the scent of trout, would attract salmon.
What about squid?would that work?
Squid will definitely work. It's a great additive to sprinkle on when curing eggs for steelhead.
Cool, my wife just got a dehydrator that we used on smelts this summer,so it won't ruin it!
