This ignores the demographics and the fact that most of the population have fled and the low birth rates of Ukraine
If Ukraine starts having an economic miracle people from Belarus, Russia, Moldova, will go to Ukraine. And the refugees are likely to come back to Ukraine, so thats not as straight foward
Many will return for jobs, family, opportunity.
Anyway, Ukraine's economy won't be at the bottom stage of Europe and it'll performe better than the economy of Belarus as Belarus is an allied country of Russia.
And they will be back 8n Russia.
History shows that after wars there is always a boom in population, specifically: women population, it is a biologycal adaptation of our specie.
You can overcome a lot of things...but demographics (a lack of young people, specifically young men) is not one of them
I assume once the war is over there will be put pressure on ukraine to import young men from the middle east and africa
If Ukraine starts having an economic miracle people from Belarus, Russia, Moldova, will go to Ukraine. And the refugees are likely to come back to Ukraine, so thats not as straight foward
You can absolutely overcome demographics and many countries already have. Plenty of European countries have been old for decades already, and they've still been growing. Bulgaria is just one example. Japan may not have grown fast, but they've survived just fine and even improved the structure of their economy just fine over the last 30 years. And that is before we factor in AI improving labor productivity, and outsourcing places that do have good demographics, and immigration, etc etc. Ukraine is still probably screwed, but demographics in general are simply not destiny.
@@person1858 No, you are wrong. Japans population peaked in 2010 and only now are we seeing things fail even though they work hard. The Yen is inflating despite them increasing interest rates and working long hours. A country with low birth rates or high deaths through war is doomed to fall behind countries that don't have these issues. It can take 10 years to really see these effects manifest though. USA did the best after WW2 because they joined the war late and had a large boom in population after the war is proof of this.
It took South Korea DECADES to grow after the war 🙈

He just wanted some quick bucks by making a video with a Disney land scenario and a sponsor(Scammer) to smile. so I'll comment to help him out. Making these unrealistic videos will degrades people trust on ur words and will surely kill ur channel.
a quick buck indeed. Eventually, people will see the lies.
Interesting thought indeed

here is why not: brain drain, high amount of debt, destroyed infrastructure, currently in war, high amount of land mines in rural areas(cant use their farm land)
yea… good luck with that.

Does not matter how many destructions we will face people are going to survive. Worst of them surely will. And that is the reason your theory is unrealistic. Obviously you do not have a full picture of current situation inside the country.

Interesting video. Thanks! Despite all the devastating impact the war has on the country, the level of corruption in Ukraine has been decreasing, oligarchy is being dismantled, new industries (such as manufacturing of drones, rehabilitation medicine, cybersecurity) are booming, the society is united over an idea of building the country back better. Being a country rich in natural resources and with a highly educated population Ukraine has a realistic chance of becoming a New Economic Tiger (the demographics, as others note, is a big concern, though).
Bro just shattered his credibility for good
I actively dislike videos that endorse Better Help. It's a scam and you should not accept a sponsorship from them. That's below the line.

Everything you said is based on Ukraine winning the war, which is not guaranteed.
Its not even believable never mind guaranteed
Well South Korea only had half of the Korean Peninsula.
Not necessarily, I feel like this is if Ukraine loses significant territory to Russia and has to rebuild with what is left. But I see your point, even having the chance to rebuild at all would be a win for Ukraine at this stage
@@bababababababa6124 I’d say they have a relatively high likely hood. People complain about Ukraine not making any gains, but Russia hasn’t either. It looks like it may be a stalemate for both sides.
@@bababababababa6124 If Ukraine has to hand over part of their land to Russia for a peace agreement, Russia will be back for the rest in a few years, after they rebuild their military. The only hope Ukraine has is to completely defeat Russia, which is a tall order.
Thank you. It is nice to hear an alternative opinion. Rather than all is lost.
Not all still lost, but he strongly ignores few factors that had had played a role in mentioned German and Korean cases, but hardly applicable for post war Ukraine: baby boom in developed countries, new technology and Ukraine's own demographic. There's plenty of other factors, but they could still play in favour of Ukraine, but most dramatic don't.
Didn't know this channel... and blacklisted it 😅
Зробила помилку прочитавши коменти спочатку. Справді гарне відео, не почула нічого що звучало б дуже відірвано від реальності. Зрозуміло що це оптимістичний сценарій, але не неможливий точно. Дякую!

there is a step you missed,
- keep sending drones into Russia and news talking about winning and profit.
Why would they need to be a tiger, they can just have amrica send them money
Please don't make us laugh .
Just remember that one of the reasons that Germany and Japan prospered, was also because of the many inventions and companies that were created during the war, like Toyota and Mercedes. That is unlikely to happen with Ukraine as much of the weaponry and resources required are just simply provided by the EU.
Also, saying it’s not a concern or an interest for the US is as wrong as it gets. The US is always supporting who ever stands against Russia. Be that Vietnam, Afghanistan, Israel or Taiwan(I know technically China, but China and Russia support each other). So ofcause they are going to support the one country actually in direct war with Russia.
This is such pure fantasy copium, I'm not sure if it is a parody...
I love the video description. "get matched with a therapist who will listen and help".
Ukraine should experience the high economic growth from lower base number, yes. But to become the next tiger is depended on what will come after that. Japan got USA backup. Germany has lean production and efficiency mindset to rely on.
Man, why Ukrainian flag is upside down on your video? I’ve noticed it two times.
You made a high-quality video as always! it was a pleasure to watch as a ukrainian but there is one thing you forgot to mention - our demographic crisis , but it`s still a good video
Ukranian demographics not so bad, as family structure and age structure of population of Ukraine better than in majority countries of Europe or East Asia.
@@rohj4825 what do you mean by “Ukrainian family structure and age structure are better than European”? If I get u right I can challenge your opinion. Due to a high level of emigration in Ukraine our population is constantly decreasing it was so even before the war but now these numbers of emigrants are extremely increasing due to the war. As for “age structure” in 2018 in Ukraine the average age was about 40 which is still better than the average age in Europe, but those numbers were in 2018 and now we don’t know accurate numbers but we can firmly assume that these numbers were increased a lot because of war and I would say that it is about 45-48 since the beginning of the invasion due to a sharp leap of emigration of young people. As for family structure it is even worse than it could have imo because many families were stripped of their fathers and nowadays in Ukraine no one smart seems to be ready to start a new family

Well, somehow corruption and money laundering is a business😉
why the flag is upside down so many times?
One key difference between Ukraine and Germany, Japan or South Korea after their respective wars is the demographic situation.
All of these countries had high or stable birth rates before and after the wars while Ukraine has one of the lowest in all of Europe and also 6 to 7 million people have fled the country up until now which are mostly mothers with their children which means Ukraines demographics are now even worse than before the war and I doubt that most of these people will return after the war since for example after the Yugoslav war only one third returned. Also South Korea only experienced its economic miracle since the 80s which was 30 years after the war. Before that it was very poor and corrupt and Germany and Japan were already developed industrialized countries before WW2.
That means even in the most optimistic case Ukraine will have problems in the long term since demographics are crucial for the economic well-being of a country.
This. Even though Germany lost a lot of people in WW2 this was offset by the millions of ethnic Germans who were expelled from other countries.
Now this I have to see.
The amount of Russian trolls in the comment section is insane.
Yes, Ukraine after the war will be reconstructed with all of Europe helping the country back to its feet..
Ukraine will then become part of the EU and NATO and become fully integrated as Ukraine wished for it many decades ago.
Ukraine will have essential sectors like IT, military, and agriculture..

The thing people don't understand is , what US is giving as aid to Ukraine now , needed to be paid back later . if not Ukraine have to give land and resources to pay back that debt. It's already a dead state . Sadly, Ukraine probably won't succeed. Ukraine is too corrupt, with too much influence from oligarchs and russia. Poland and Romania, although also had hard past, were able to succeed by eliminating most of corruption and russian influence. It didn't happen in countries like Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and they're very unlikely to change for any better 😞

Ukraine isn't just important for Europe, it is just as important for Russia and the rest of the world.... If Europe ever finds peace Ukraine is going to be a very wealthy nation. It will start by connecting rail and canal corridors to both the east and the west. Once connected these corridors will profoundly change the land mass, because these separated networks go as far one way as they do the other. Peace would bring 1,000 years of European infrastructure projects/progression separated since antiquity together for the first time. And that will allow for better results for all.
Seeing how the European Union reluctantly responded with support when Ukraine was initially invaded, I doubt they will provide much after the war is over.
