Walmart too. Like acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen, omeprazole, alllllll that is made by same company. Walmart will negotiate with the name brand and say buy 10 thousand lots of 100 count bottles of ibuprofen, slap their labels and lids, at a set price.
@@meganmorgan8597 I assume they all do it. When the cvs gm explained it to me it made total sense. I prefer when Costco had them individually wrapped, they've definitely changed in the last couple of years though, I've had them separate many times and it becomes more like one ply. With the recent toilet paper scare last year we ended up buying a different brand, Charmin and I think from Costco and definitely preferred it.
For paper towels I always buy Bounty bc I end up using so much less (bought on sale only). I've compared several times by buying 3 rolls & seeing how long it takes to use ea/# of jobs per roll (Bounty always last longer). For TP, I actually buy that from Costco online in a case bc it's delivered & I've only gotta think about it once a yr- LOL! It's good TP, but I'd never compare it to Charmin or high-end stuff (I personally think that's way too thick & a waste of $; plus, it's not great for the septic/environment as it takes longer to breakdown). Just my two cents... not wanting a debate.
I buy Charmin toilet paper. I always get it on sale ,very seldom you the Costco brand on sale . Plus charmin on sale with a coupon defiantly cheaper than Costco.
I agree with you on the toilet paper & paper towel. I think the price difference on the toilet paper makes no difference. I like the cottonelle better but my kids will use nearly half the roll in a day so until they move out we will use the Kirkland. The paper towels I generally don't use paper towels to clean up a big spill so Kirkland works fine
I love kirkland branded products, I'm a fan of the bacon bits, garbage bags dishwasher tabs (and dish liquid), liquid laundry detergent and many other things 🙂.
I love that you included your wife so much in this video! Also, once I bought Kirkland trash bags, I’ll never go back. I used to always have problems with the drawstrings on glad bags, but never with Costco bags.
One point about the TP test: The Costco TP used for the comparison is septic safe. We live in a rural area, have LOTS of guests and must be concerned about a finicky septic system. The Cottonelle used in the comparison is not septic safe, and therefore can be thicker and disintegrate more slowly. (Trust me- you don't want to make that buying mistake, especially with 7 houseguests over Thanksgiving holiday the way we did a few years ago!)

Costco recently changed their toilet paper. I liked the older version better. The new one is also gives you less toilet paper, three rolls less to be exact.
They changed it awhile ago because we had been buying it for quite sometime and felt it was comparable to Charmin. Costco C/S claimed they didn’t change it, but it was definitely different to us. Use their tear-a-sheet paper towels exclusively though.
I think COSTCO's Charmin is the best. According to the COSTCO Connection, COSTSO's Charmin is the softest made and manufactured exclusively for COSTCO stores.
They also started putting less on the paper towel rolls. I recently went and there was a sign up explaining they were trying to have enough for everyone. Same price for less of course lol. I haven't gotten the new TP yet to see the change but not looking forward to that.
I agree ! Love Kirkland but liquid detergent Tide is my preference! Bounty and Charmin always seem better, but go with Kirkland for cost savings. Please do same comparisons for Sam’s Club !
I learned years ago never to buy any paper towels other than Bounty, I’ve tried all kinds of different brands and every single time I cuss and swear and say I’m never buying them again, they won’t even tear straight off the roll.
Scott works well for me. It also helps to get a good paper towel holder. One with a ratcheting mechanism or arm. America's test kitchen rated a SimpleHuman model as their best. Also, it helps to use one quick motion.
@@christineh4782 Well, my Kirkland is sitting in my cabinet for if I ever need it again. I just replace what I've used with the same amount of another brand. Usually Trader Joe.
@@lindabuck2777 It was difficult to unroll, fell apart a lot, left a lot of fuzz from the paper on the roll holder, and just pretty much frustrating to work with. Not worth the money.
I have both Costco and Sam’s Club memberships. Sam’s is much closer to me so I tend to go there more. The Kirkland kitchen trash bags are DEFINITELY superior. I would love to see a Kirkland vs Members Mark comparison. When it comes to name brands they carry, in some cases the Costco packages are slightly larger for about the same money.
Yes me too. The members mark brand tends to leave little pieces behind when you wipe with that brand. I used the Kirkland brand doesn't do that. But yes I would love to see a comparison between Sam's and Costco for sure. Thanks great video.

Glad to see wifey agreed on the pizza. That's one of my favorites. In my air fryer/convection oven they come out as close to a New York pizza as I've ever gotten from frozen pizzas.
In regards to the shampoo I would go with the store brand if I needed to. I prefer Maine and Tail, absolutely the best and you can use on pet's as well.
Omg I love your comparisons and reviews. You make want to buy a Costco membership just for some stuff you have shown 😁 Thank you for all you do. Big fan here ☺️
I hesitated on a Costco membership for a LONG time. After 5 years as a member, highly recommend. Great savings on gas. Premium quality meat, eggs, dairy, fish, produce & baked goods ( 😋 ohhh, the bakery!!) Double warranty & easy returns. With the Costco card 4% back on gas plus the 2% back instore, our membership fee is more than paid for each year. YMMV, but I do think they will refund your membership cost that first year if you're not satisfied.
Haha! You need my mom! She read me the riot act and taught me not to use too much. Then she did the same with my daughter when she stayed over! When I started caring for her with Alzheimer’s, she didn’t know who I was (she thought she was in a care facility and I was staff), but when I helped her in the bathroom, I got schooled again! 😄
Love all your product comparisons, Matt. I loved watching you on WKYC in Cleveland! I shop at Costco and DO NOT like their toilet paper. I go to Sam's for TP...it is much, much better. I do like the Costco paper towel. That has become my go-to PT instead of Bounty.

I love Costco TP. When I use anything thicker it clogs the drain. And I love that it’s wider than most brands. Everyone’s butt is different...mine prefers Costco! 😂😂😂
On the TP and paper towels, I use Kirkland and they work well. I'm not a fan of Bounty because when you clean mirrors or glass it leaves white towel residue, little bits of the paper towel. NOW, the TP, the current Kirkland TP is not as good as it used to be. Right after we had the TP shortage (lol) in 2020 they changed it. The new version is horrible compared to the old version

I love your videos Matt! Thank you for all you do!!
I completely agree!! The only two products that I have never liked from Kirkland because of the low quality are the toilet paper and paper towels. They need to fix that
I used to be a tried and true Bounty user until they were sold out and I tried Sam's Member's Mark papper toweling. Bye bye Bounty!! The same with the Member's Mark Toilet Paper. Bye bye Scott's. I too would love to see a Sam's Member's Mark comparison
Next time, when comparing Kirkland laundry pods to Tide pods, why not purchase the Tide pods at Costco? When doing the price comparison, isn’t that a better price comparison?
One of our FAVORITE Kirkland products is Dog Biscuits. I don't know if you have a dog in your household, but if you do then these things are the bomb. Obviously, you can't really do a taste test (what dog won't eat a treat given the chance even if it's a subpar treat). But the packaging of their dog biscuits RULES!! Seriously, these things are packed into the box like military grade ammunition. NO BROKEN BISCUITS!! Now, we actually deliberately break them because our dog would be HUGE if we gave him a whole one every time he wants one. But if you've got a big dog, this is a BIG deal!! And FWIW, the pupper seems to love them!!
We are getting a Costco here in Moore & I’m really excited. The only one we have is in far NW OKC, which is about 25 miles north. Thanks for the comparisons! They changed it awhile ago because we had been buying it for quite sometime and felt it was comparable to Charmin. Costco C/S claimed they didn’t change it, but it was definitely different to us. Use their tear-a-sheet paper towels exclusively though.
Whaaaaat? That's some dirty dealing right there!🧻😬
I think COSTCO's Charmin is the best.
@@lj5781 wow... Shame on Costco, so disappointing, cuz most of us love Costco.😭
I also use Bounty but, I like Viva towels for tougher jobs.
I bought Kirkland once and went through them faster than bounty. Bounty does a better job of cleaning and picking up spills.
Have you compared Scott and bounty, scott seems to be better.
Scott works well for me. It also helps to get a good paper towel holder. One with a ratcheting mechanism or arm. America's test kitchen rated a SimpleHuman model as their best. Also, it helps to use one quick motion.
@@karenjp5848 This, 100%. Viva is underrated
Your house is great. Love the view out your windows!
Me too! Does anyone know what city it is?
Looks like Toronto?
Great having a tester that cares about pricing just as much as quality/performance. Would love to see more of these!
I agree with your assessments! I get Costco brand for nearly everything EXCEPT their toilet paper. Charmin for the win in our house! Great video!
Same here
Same!!! Charmin is the best!
Charmin strong for the win!
the costco charmin or from another retailer?
@@gatekeeper99924 Charmin is the same wherever you get it but probably the best price is at Costco
The toilet paper was a massive fail in my house. So totally agree on this.
Toilet paper is still flying of the shelf where I live so I bought the Kirkland.😕 Thanks for the warning.
@@christineh4782 Well, my Kirkland is sitting in my cabinet for if I ever need it again. I just replace what I've used with the same amount of another brand. Usually Trader Joe.
Why was it a fail??? Too hard not thick enough falls apart too easily WHY? Thank you for answering co I need soft!🙏🏻❤️
@@lindabuck2777 It was difficult to unroll, fell apart a lot, left a lot of fuzz from the paper on the roll holder, and just pretty much frustrating to work with. Not worth the money.
Nothing beats Charmin
I second the motion!
Did a comparison between Kirkland's & members mark???? Would love to see it.
I guess I'm in the minority. I prefer Sam's trash bags (33 gallon) and paper products over Costco's.
I just switched to Costco from BJ'S. My puppy is still potty training. The puppy pads are bigger and slightly cheaper at Costco.
Your wife is beautiful!! Congrats! Keep her forever!!!
Loved this Cosco video! Please do more!
Thank you!
Do the rotisserie chicken at Costco and then from Walmart/sams!!! Costco’s is so so good.
Watching this video gives me positive energy & a sense of normalcy when so many people I know are going through medical emergencies. Maybe we could do a hospital gift idea video?
1. Kraft peanut butter?? Uffffffff
2. More Mrs. Deal Guy 😉
Right? At least compare to Skippy or Jif! Who uses Kraft? I didn't even know they made PB. 😂
Yeah, I've never heard of Kraft peanut butter. Need to compare with Skippy or Jif.
This was fun to watch! Your wife is a trooper. Thank you very much!
Glad to see wifey agreed on the pizza. That's one of my favorites. In my air fryer/convection oven they come out as close to a New York pizza as I've ever gotten from frozen pizzas.
You say “Costco?!” We say “here!!”Love me some Costco! 😂
Hahahaha
Great video !! Love the comparison of products. Now to do the same with Sam's club lol . Then Sam's verses Costco.
Make this a series! 🙏🏼💞🎈
Great video! You will be the main reason I join Costco, even though it's farther away. Also, love the sweatpants with the shirt and tie!
Even you made me sad about the TP and PT, I will still be brand loyal and buy the Kirkland. 😊
Who keeps blocks of ice in their house? Wait, by the view out the window he’s in Canada lol!
Ice works better representative of broken glass.
Your wife is gorgeous! Love your updates
In regards to the shampoo I would go with the store brand if I needed to. I prefer Maine and Tail, absolutely the best and you can use on pet's as well.
Love your videos! Always useful information for those of us who like to stretch the budget!
Omg I love your comparisons and reviews. You make want to buy a Costco membership just for some stuff you have shown 😁 Thank you for all you do. Big fan here ☺️
only $60 you can also add another person to your account
I hesitated on a Costco membership for a LONG time. After 5 years as a member, highly recommend. Great savings on gas. Premium quality meat, eggs, dairy, fish, produce & baked goods ( 😋 ohhh, the bakery!!) Double warranty & easy returns. With the Costco card 4% back on gas plus the 2% back instore, our membership fee is more than paid for each year. YMMV, but I do think they will refund your membership cost that first year if you're not satisfied.
We've gotten great savings on optical, pharmacy, hearing aids, auto as well. I just didn't want to gush
You are like the Consumer Reports Guy. I also love to see you and your wife do vids together. Do more!
Cool video! Big thumbs up! Your wife's a pretty little thing :)
What a sweetheart your wife is!
I still use the Kirkland toilet paper because my kids go through so much that it’s still better to get the cheaper stuff.
It is better to teach them not to be wasteful. Yes it is possible. Yes, even with small kids.
Teach them to count the squares... you're killing 2 birds with 1 stone!
Don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody intentionally scratch a pan like that. Cant say I liked it....
😂 I thought the same thing. No! Don't do it! You're not supposed to use that on that pan!!!
@@shortermama8099 🤣🤣👍 Not supposed to use teflon at all. Plus it has aluminum. That's what is found in Alzheimer's patients.
@@christineh4782I don't, but still.
The Sam’s club toilet paper, Member’s Mark, is much better than Kirkland.
Please make a Kirkland x Member's Mark x Wellsley Farms and Berkley Jensen products comparison ( Costco x Sam's Club x Bj's )
Contractor: "Hi I'm here to repair some tile."
The Deal Guy: "Yes, right this way in the kitchen."
Contractor: "Could you tell me what happened?"
The Deal Guy: "Yeah, I was testing out some trash bags."
Contractor: "Hmm. Testing some trash bags?"
The Deal Guy: "Yeah, I wanted to see which would hold up better so I put some frozen bags of ice into it and swung it around my head."
Contractor: "So which bag caused this?"
The Deal Guy: "Glad"
Contractor: "Tries to hide his box of Glad trash bags"
She is a cute pizza connoisseur!! Thank her for participating!!
I love Costco TP. When I use anything thicker it clogs the drain. And I love that it’s wider than most brands. Everyone’s butt is different...mine prefers Costco! 😂😂😂
Oh my, your wife is a doll! What a treasure you have in her 💕
On the TP and paper towels, I use Kirkland and they work well.
We are a Jiff peanut household so I would love to see the comparison with the Kirkland brand.
I love the Kirkland garbage bags. Unscented.
Your wife is beautiful with an adorable personality and smile! She’s such a trooper for helping with the tests and eating tuna so early in the morning. I work for Costco and agree about their paper products. I’m sure we (Costco) will tweak our paper products soon. We do everything else very well, no need to skimp on this household necessity.
I love your videos Matt! Thank you for all you do!!
I completely agree!! The only two products that I have never liked from Kirkland because of the low quality are the toilet paper and paper towels. They need to fix that
Enjoy your channel. Hope you do the same type comparison with Sam's Club Member's Mark brand.
Good idea!
Yes! We do have a Sam’s club close to us. That would be very helpful!
I KNEW that toilet paper was inferior and my fiance refused to believe me! You helped me win my argument :)
Riveting discussions to be had at your house it seems..
@@flamethrowercandle2354 it be like that
Thanks for this one. I’ll be adding more Kirkland into the rotation.
They will come in handy when they get the store open in the early fall. My mom’s doctor highly recommends their hearing aids, too. Thanks Matt & wife! (She’s so pretty!)
I like Costco because the company treats their employees with respect and pays them higher wages.
Thank you for the side-by-side comparisons! Your wife is, BTW, lovely; and the view from your apartment is amazing. I know you said you'd bought a home, but that view would be hard to give up!
I love your videos! I’m super surprised about the paper towels. Thank you (and your wife) for trying all these out for us viewers!
Nice view of Vancouver BC ❤️ never been there yet got as close as Bellingham WA one day when this dreaded Bug Is in Check ✔️
