The timing of this video was perfect - it's like you read my mind because, yesterday, I was adding FamilySearch ID numbers into my Ancestry people's individual notes, thinking there's got to be a better way to show the cross-reference. Bingo. Thank you!
Is the WikiTree ID different than the individual ID? I always wondered how to see my provided information in the greater context of the “full” shared tree (is that the WikiTree?) but couldn’t figure it out.
Connie, can you do a video at some point about how to easily check family search for accuracy against another GEDcoms?… I am working on really proofing my maternal grandmother's side of the family tree and would like to make sure that information is on family search... but I don't know how to go about organizing the the people in the tree in a fashion that doesn't get confused since branches are constantly splitting.
Connie, how do you set up your ancestry account to show the functions near the top? I’m talking about things like merge dups and save to tree. Thanks in advance for sharing!
Sweet! love that you added it to the facts column that way!

Didn’t I tell you? I’m a mind reader. Kidding.
I put mine in the suffix field. 😉
Good information!
You could also add in their WikiTree ID as well!
Good point!

Hey Chuck. In the profile view on Ancestry, go to Tools (upper right corner) then drop down to Show Research Tools and click on it... and Tah Dah!
This is great if the Family Search profile is "accurate". By that I mean most have misinformation or absolutely no sources.
