I've played this game since it came out so there wasn't anything that was new to me but kudos on a great guide to new players! Really well structured, got into enough info to get a headstart but never delved into tedium, as some guides can do! And it's great to see some love for the best CRPG ever :D
nice of you to point out that the - in armor is actually a good thing, wonder why they chose to do it that way going with big is better like most games would be easier to understand
Had trouble getting into it a while back, have been playing BG3 now and after its done I really want to try BG1 and BG2 again. This video is a good help! Thanks for explaining the map travelling and AI scripts.
Baldur's Gate 1 has plenty of decent weapons: Ashideena warhammer +2 (electricity) (get it by defeating Bassilus) Varscona longsword +2 (ice) (defeat greywolf near nashkel mines) Dagger of Venom (buy from thunderhammer smith) Spider's Bane two-handed sword +2 (free action) (defeat that weird spider lady in cloakwood) if you take down drizzt, of course he's got some +3 scimitars, otherwise there is a +2 scimitar, +3 two handed sword, and a staff of striking at durlag's tower if you have the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion.
You haven't explained as a mage or sorcerer how to use the coloured objects on your bottom bar how to cast spells what all the stars and coloured stones mean how to how to use the tool bars
I created a character and went through the tutorial. Once I was done, Belt told me that I could start my adventures and it sent me back to the main menu. I tried to load the character that I created and ot sent me back to the tutorial house qhere Belt is. When I tried to leave, it said that I couldn't leave without completing the tutorial, which I did. Belt sends me back to the main menu, and I can't save the game. How the hell am I supposed to start the actual game with the character that created and went through the tutorial? It's quite frustrating. Am I just missing something?
How do I deal with the vampires in Baldurs Gate 2? I was playing the game, completing quests, and having fun. Until nightfall in Baldurs Gate, I ran into some vampires, and it seems my magic weapons do nothing. im stuck
Off the top of my head, Melf's Minute Meteors from a mage hurts them. A Cleric's turn undead should be effective if high enough in level. I believe +2 weapons hurt most vampires, though some need +3.
v2.6.6.0. It might be because I have different visual options toggled off. Check if you have 'Nearest Neighbor Scaling' and/or 'Sprite Outlines' toggled on in the graphics settings, as I have those toggled off.

One weapon style is great for backstabbers, as it increases chance to crit by an additional 5%, and critting a backstab is pretty good.
Wow what a great guide 💪🏽✨
Cool video. I'm a total Baldur's' Gate noob so this helps a lot. I'm going to look for those early hidden Items as I'm just getting started out :)

It was based on the D&D rules which used this system.

Yes, I should really get around to doing a video about mages/sorcerers/clerics.
