It‘s hard to forget someone that gave you so much to remember, and you never should forget. It‘s so obvious these men all loved Elvis❤️ it makes me sad what a sad life Elvis had and how much he suffered in silence. I think Elvis was the type of person who wouldn’t fully expose his emotions or what was going on, I think he never had a person that understood him and was an anchor to him. He always felt half, never complete. I think he walked through like with a big hole in his heart that never got filled. It‘s mostly because of his missing twin and his mother that died. I hope wherever he is now, he feels complete and full and found peace.

Watching those men talk about Elvis, you can tell they all loved him. Made me cry just listening to them, it must have been a HUGE shock. Bad enough for us fans, but those men were with Elvis Day in, day out, there to protect him and look after him. So many people didn't understand their role in Elvis' life, including Priscilla who openly stated she never felt really married to Elvis with the entourage. Linda Thompson and Ann-Margret did, but they were more mature than Priscilla and understood Elvis' need for his long term mates to be there for him. Not something the average man in the street could understand, but Elvis was far from the average man in the street, living with the constant pressure of fame and scrutiny of the media.😢

@@lynnshrader1218it depends on a person's opinion of the books that have been written. I don't think any of the MM betrayed him. If you read their books from cover to cover, and think about what they have written, they are only telling in their own words, from their memories, whatever they saw and experienced, Obviously over 10 to 20 years there will be discrepancies in the various versions of events, but they all boiled down to the same thing, that Elvis was his own worst enemy when it came to self medicating with prescription drugs, and they were all worried about him, but he refused to listen to anyone. Not only the MM but Priscilla, Linda, and many of his girlfriends also saw what was going on, and when they couldn't do anything they had to walk away. I wonder how Ann-margret would have coped; Elvis wasn't as badly addicted when they were together, although she might have known toward the end, as it sounds like she stayed in touch with Vernon and some of the MM.

These were the men who knew Elvis best, and losing him was very very sad, but when it comes to the crunch, the only man who could have saved Elvis Presley, was Elvis Presley. When someone is in that mindset of self-destruction, nothing anyone else says or does can change that. In fact, it makes matters worse. Some of these men did stand up to Elvis and tell him the reality of what the drugs were doing to him, but Elvis couldn't see it. He was in denial that he had a problem, and even if he did know the grim reality, he knew it was too late. The compassion these guys had and still have is palpable, and they will see him again on the other side.

In Lisa's book she mentions what she thought of Ginger, who appeared in full make up after Elvis died. She never checked on him. Was making phone calls, putting her makeup on, and when she found out he died, she called the Enquirer. What a gem. That shows how much she cared for him. Linda, who Elvis wanted to leave, wouldn't. He was even frank with her that he was cheating on her, and she still inflicted herself on him. He wanted her out of there. All these women were hooked on what he could give them. Lisa's book is a child's honest view of Elvis' GF's. I believe her.

No one can stop this. No one. Everyone wants to blame someone or something. At the end of the day, only that person can make the decision to quit, and some simply, simply cannot. They can’t. Nothing harder to live with than realizing that. And the more it hurts when it’s a person like Elvis. And there will never ever be another like him.

Agree with Lamar 100% that poor excuse for human being SOB Parker worked him to the ground not to mention his outrageous 50% fee, but most of all preventing Elvis to fulfill his dreams and aspirations like touring the world, making it in the film industry which would have relieved some stress financially where he would have made more money to make his obligations met and still have time to take time for himself which would have made him happy and he wouldn't have need for all the unnecessary opioids. My god he was only one man who had a huge payroll and expenses weighing on his generous shoulders that stressed him . When a person has health problems and are taking a lot of prescription medications the people that are around them , treat them different. They don’t understand, and are very judgemental. It’s a lonely place to be. I understand what Elvis was going through. I believe he was tired, and really wasn’t looking forward to the tour. I believe he went to the bathroom, and struggled to go. Frustrated by his own body, he decided to take a little more pills that would decide his fate. If he was meant to live, he would go on tour. It has never been anyones fault to why Elvis passed, and I hope one day people understand this.

@@ValTheGal1960 Vernon never told Dave, Sonny and Red, the real reason they were let go like that. The "expenses" excuse was not true at all. There's a lot more to this. Same thing with Elvis's death. Elvis was turning his life around, they were planning a major international tour. Larry Geller and Billy Smith and others can confirm all this. Elvis was not that sick and that last picture taken of him driving into Graceland hours before his death as well as the accounts of others around him, of his final hours, confirms that. Very few people know what really happened to Elvis on that August 16th. Vernon himself knew it. Had Dave, Sonny and Red been there that Aug 16th, chances are Elvis would have not departed this world that easily. Vernon and Elvis were convinced by others that Dave, Sonny and Red had to be fired but they were also instructed not to tell them the real reason in order to avoid further trouble or real legal action by the three men. In other words, Vernon first and through him, Elvis himself, were deceived and kind of forced to get rid of those three guys and it has to do with what really happened later on that Aug 16th in Graceland. Some people learned the truth including Vernon himself but they couldn't do much about it though two people did try just to realize they shouldn't go down that route, for their own sake. This is all that can be shared here (and perhaps not even that). I wish I could share everything I know along with the documents and files that proves it. There's a lot more to what really happened to Elvis Presley that day. Why am I writing this? Well I love Elvis. He was a very unique soul and it's not fair what happened to him. Dave is a good honest man but he doesn't really know whay he was fired like that. That's why He, Red and Sonny were so hurt and felt betrayed. They had done nothing wrong and did love Elvis, but some people wanted them out of the way! ruclips.net/video/_r3kPYzsETQ/видео.html

@@ValTheGal1960 Yes! He did pass away. This whole worldwide belief that he faked his own death, that he's still around, is part of a major coverup to distract everyone. The more people look for alive Elvis the less they spend paying attention to what may have really happened to him. A lot of those Elvis sightings and stuff, have been "planted" there for it to be found by people. Elvis was murdered by powerful people. They had two people (moles) within the "Memphis Mafia" team. Dick Grob, who was in charge of Elvis's security team was also convinced that Elvis was murdered. That day, Dick Grob was in Portland with some other guys setting up everything for the tour that would start there. So for a short period of time (that only close people knew), Elvis's security was lax and with Dave Hebler, Sonny and Red previously fired, it was the right time to do the job. Elvis's doctor, as well as Dick Grob, Vernon and some others knew that someone very close to Elvis had let the murderes in. Vernon hired two private detectives but died two years later. The whole autopsy was a charade and the coroner assigned was none other than the man who was in charge of Marilyn Monroe (who was also murdered). A good friend of Elvis, a British actress also knew the truth. Ended up moving to memphis to find out more and to "open" the case. What happened to her next, made her understand that she was messing with the wrong people. She ended up fleeing the city. There's a lot more I could write. I cannot share the names of the two individuals who betrayed Elvis. He trusted them totally. Elvis had done nothing wrong and the powers that be decided to remove him for complex reasons. Many years later same thing happened to Michael Jackson. Elvis was a good talented man, too young, he had big plans and was turning his life around. It breaks my heart to know his life was cut short and that very few people know the truth.

But the man was doing drugs that’s all there is to it, yes all these people loved him, including his friends and family. I love what Billy Smith said about his cousin Elvis, and he asked Elvis why don’t you stop doing this, why don’t you get off of the stuff, take a vacation relax and go to rehab. And I said you know Elvis man you knew what you were doing, you even stood on stage and said you weren’t taking drugs, but you knew that you were, and that’s why you got so flipping angry. And I looked at his grave and I kept talking to him. And I said at his grave I said you need to get to see your daughter grow up, you ruined her life because of your actions. I said the worst thing was also Elvis I said this right at his grave when my wife live visited in 21. I said you had the audacity, to listen to the fat pudgy little snake all your life. And I said the fact that you hired him back after firing him, that was your fault. I said this man drove into the ground, and I probably shouldn’t talk this way as a Christian man, but I said right at Elvis Presley‘s grave I said, I said you were Colonel Tom Parker‘s little bitch. you were his little minion that he could treat like trash, and steal from you.

It breaks my heart to watch them argue they look like they're about to cry, I'm eight years clean and, I play drums guitar bass organs absolutely infatuated with music production I've always been, I love Frank Zappa King crimson in the Pink Floyd post Gilmore 2, and Elvis Presley, he has a special place in my music but most of all in everyday life, being a father and husband and an x speed freak Love drugs absolutely loved my drugs, Presley gave his entire life to rock and roll, that's not an easy life early twenties I was addicted to cocaine uppers downers, I had a whole crew in an entire portfolio of work from them, and I would spend my four nights after work swallowing amphetamines and hitting the studio getting ready for the next work day that following night they were girls sex drugs rock and roll you name it was all over the place, by the time I met my wife things got heavy we had a baby my father-in-law died we lost the house, still 3 in the morning in the garage you can find me again making a special session for the music after the family was said and done the kids are sleeping everybody's done for the day now it's time for the music, well I pushed it all the way up until I had a heart attack at 25 in the detox, what I hear Elvis Presley I picture the guy that sold all those Cadillacs gave his jewelry away absolutely spoiled Lisa Marie, we got it that's Daddy's Little girl, this man I don't know about anyone else as a musician a music producer and trying to be the best father and husband I can be I think Elvis Presley has a special place in my own heart,I don't really focus so much on the records in the fame I get it I'm a musician I think also being the type of musician I am again I'm more into Pink Floyd Frank Zappa King crimson all the psychedelic experimental bands of the 60s including delta blues that's just my musical style in that repertoire fits my musical style it's more about treating people with respect and how I should conduct myself as I become more professional make more money throughout my life I'm only 31, I have a whole life ahead of me that I want to make sure that I'm doing how Elvis Presley would want a man to treat his family that's how I live my life I think of individuals that came before me Sid Barrett was actually the same way, for the LSD destroyed his brain he was ready to give all of his money to Rodger Rick nick was also rumor has it that he was going to have David gilmour come into, not to replace him either Syd Barrett was going to take himself and go to the artistic direction of painting, but we'll never know, but again I think Elvis Presley nobody could have saved him I know that personally speaking I know nobody could have saved him how do I know that? Because everybody in the studio around me in my early twenties was on drugs everybody in our apartment was taking amphetamines and cocaine, nobody was getting sober anytime soon so, have made it very clear the Memphis mafia they partake doing it to you know when they're not saying that they're better people they loved actually loved Elvis I watched a lot of documentaries with the Memphis Mafia, they absolutely adored him that he was like a brother to them and I can see it and it just breaks my heart Elvis Presley again we could look at everything he's done all the money he gave away all the Cadillacs he bought and always keep in mind everytime Elvis got his massive paychecks he gave everything away first and then bought what he wanted to keep that in mind, again we never forget our humble beginnings and that's the biggest piece of Elvis Presley I carry with me again I'm not a novice superfan maybe I'm mistaken myself maybe I am I don't know but all I know is that man nobody will ever ever ever come close to the way he treated drummers either, very quickly he loved and appreciated and always encouraged every drama that he played with, as a drummer I've been drummin for 15 years I also want to mention I've tried warming up to some of Elvis's live performances that performance in Hawaii I found myself getting tired, trying to copy Ronnie you know what I mean just to warm up in the studio before I got to drum track down absolutely absolutely one of the greatest entertainers of are time and his personality and his character and his love for the Creator made him who he was I want to point that out that drug addiction was between him and Jesus and that's all it is and I just want to make sure I get a chance to share my opinion my perception in my personal admiration 4 is very larger-than-life human being, this man was the embodiment I think of how we should all treat one another if we ever get shitloads of money rest in paradise big fella thank you for your, example, and thank you for your contributions the true embodiment also of God country family, I couldn't say no to my fans either no I was never ever at all bigger and or even close to famous and I'm happy about that too, but I know what it's like to make sure that that album is to the upmost repertoire of how you want to let that record be released no mistakes as to be pristine everything has to be perfect for my listener because that listener is now part of me because they are part of my music .

Hey,. You should write a book! Haha! Seriously,. You should,. I’m not saying that because your comment was long,. I’m not even done reading it,. I’m saying that because I like your story & your take on things & how you talk/relate to Elvis,. Seriously,. You should start writing things down,. Like what you said here,. I think lot’s of other people/young people specifically could learn from what you have to say,. Your journey into music,. Drugs,. How you relate to Elvis! Etc.! I’d like to talk to you about this more,. Anyway,. I’ll read the rest of your comment now,. Just had to stop & tell you that! 👍. Stay Strong! I know it’s not easy

Well Said! 👏. It’s All about the Fans! Elvis played one night in a little town about an hour from where I live now called Evansville IN., had a great show, went to the hotel,. About 2-3 in the morning his step brother David was awoken by a few girls running down the hall screaming Elvis,. David opened the door & told them,. Elvis is asleep & that’s where You should be! This was 1972,. He yelled at them & told to go home,. Elvis is asleep! Next morning Elvis got up & looked at the paper to see what they said about his show,. First thing he sees on the front page is,. Elvis Body Guard yell’s at Fans! Hahaha! Yeah,. Elvis had a come apart! Hahaha! He Yelled at David,. Told him,.as he grabbed his shirt,. “You See this shirt you have on,. They Paid for it”,. Haha,. Yeah,. Elvis gave him Hell,. Went to his room & slammed the door,. Vernon following after him,. Elvis told his Dad,. I’m fixing to fire him,. Go get him! Vernon Begged Elvis,. Now, son,. You can’t do that! Haha! Yeah,. David Stanley was his step brother! Haha! Vernon told Elvis,. You can’t do that,. Anyway,. Elvis didn’t fire him but he was Very Angry! He didn’t speak to him for a week! Haha! You can look it up,. It was on the front page! Anyway,. Elvis Loved his Fans,. He Knew they Made him & he knew they could break him! His greatest fear was people would forget about him! Can you imagine? Haha! Never happen! Anyway,. I do think you have a story to tell,. You should share it,. If nothing else,. Share it with a Christian magazine & talk about Jesus coming into your life,. How you turned your life around! That’s Not an easy thing to do especially if you’re playing music! Jake Hess offered my Dad a job, making good money playing in his gospel group,. He offered my Dad a job being a studio musician,. Dad turned him down,. My Dad was a baptist minister,.& had a wife & 2 kids! He’s an Awesome guitar player! His hero is Chet Atkins!

None of that would have changed what was happening with his colon. The drugs either contributed to or caused more shut down of the ability to remove waste from his system. To untwist or cut away part of the colon and reattach to the abdomen is no small procedure especially back then. It almost certainly would have lead to a colostomy bag. Anyone think this was a risk Elvis Presley was willing to take? Vicki
