Okay but these “but I got distracted” piano pieces are exactly what happen to music in my head. I start with one song, then a part of it sounds familiar to another song and I blend into that one. Many other things cause me to change song but these videos have properly conveyed both the struggle and majesty of it all! Bravo! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
I do the same thing. My boyfriend is very interested in music (he sometimes composes his own pieces too), and he said my ability to compare and use songs as references to others could be an underdeveloped form of quasi perfect pitch. quasi perfect pitch is essentially a more advanced form of relative pitch in which you know the name of a note by using a reference. In perfect pitch you automatically know the name of the note where as in quasi perfect pitch you know the name of the note through practice and memorization. For example, memorizing a song and connecting the notes from one memorized song to another. If you knew the exact names of the notes you are comparing just by hearing it, that would be quasi perfect pitch.

I think you write the absolute best of these kinds of mashups and it’s not really close either. Seamless transitions into hilarious quotes and clever AF ways of making those quotes in the style of whatever piece you’re “music theory failing”. From a professional musician, kudos mate and keep ‘em coming!
This is an accurate representation of what happens when you’re supposed to be practicing something but are overcome by an intense and chaotic swell of boredom.
I don't know why I haven't been expecting Wellerman in any of these before, now that you've done it it feels like it should have been an obvious expectation lol. Well done. And the transitions were amazing as well
Cannot say that I really care about the references.… I do acknowledge them as being clever but they’re not really the main source of pleasure. This music is just straight out entertaining!
This reminds me of tabbing something out on guitar pro and getting lost where i was, getting frustrated, having a few beers, coming back to it later and adding random notes at the end, having more beers, trying to fix it but accidentally adding bits from other songs, passing out, and then waking up hungover the next day, opening the file and pressing play wondering wtf happened.
The idea of purely instrumental humor alone is already really fascinating but listening to these, I can't help but burst out laughing! 😂 Somehow this tickles a very specific part of my brain. I just love your videos SO much!
My short attention span likes this a lot. Also, on that last note(s?), I had a mental image of a person slamming their face on the piano keys out of complete frustration and defeat. 🤣

1:28 sounds like smth from some mario game (possibly mario kart idk)
1:28 sounds the pop song Megahit
@@ImNotPeso I hope I'm not wrong lol
rickroll in the middle of the second 35-let thing. went past so fast
@@Master001 yep, people from Hong Kong are familiar with it
It sounds like the Mountain King doing his errands and then realized he was running late for a meeting and then gets there just in time.
tbf that could actually describe the original song as well
Weirdly specific, but at the same time YES
I mean I think he drove off a cliff at the end there, but still got there just in time for the meeting for driving safety.
In the home of the mountain king
The last hit is right as he sits in his chair
When you're trying to teach yourself piano, but you have ADHD.
As someone with adhd and who tried to self teach piano i can confirm this is exactly what its like
I forget my point midstream of consciousness most of the what was i
Can confirm that this is exactly what it’s like
YES
I do this. ADHD with a keyboard/piano. I try to play Wrecking Ball, but I end up playing Tanjiro No Uta

EXACTLYYYYY like that part of that song makes more sense yk?!?!?!

My adhd at its finest right there literally
ADHD moment
For me it's often a later part of the _same_ song, so I keep skipping over 30-second sections by accident
This piece was such an outstanding work of artistry that the mountain king gave up the throne.
I appreciate how every time it reverts to the correct melody it doubles its tempo, as if making up for time lost
I like that too 😄

The uploader is undoubtedly ecstatic at your approval.
Also some of Ill Vento D'oro
Giorno's theme: Am I a joke to you?
I completely missed the Megalovania the first time I listened. Thanks for cluing me in!
Honestly the transitions were so well done, none of them felt out of nowhere, it was genuinely pretty cool.
The transition from canon in D to giorno's theme blew my mind. laughed out loud from hearing it - genius! had to relisten at least 5 times
Holy shit. This has the smoothest transitions like ever. How educated are you in music theory? The stuff you're pulling off here reminds me of Ives
I was thinking the exact same thing. Dude must 100% have at least some theory training
@@ladytookie9169 I'm starting to think he didn't fail music theory
@@JackHankeAnd he failed music theory. as in, he failed other people.
Don't have to be good at theory to be good at music, but that's generally how artists do stuff nowadays anyway
Yeah, this musical mashup is next level like Victor Borge
Never has Giorno's theme mashed together so well than with Mountain King @0:29.
I thought no one noticed

I genuinely believe stuff like this is definitely still music. The effort of the transitions and making it sound at least somewhat coherent is amazing
Another instant classic. Really snuck that rickroll in there at the end, huh?
I didn't even catch ut
That Canon in D into Il Vento d'Oro is the funniest musical meme I've heard in ages, well done

I love that Wellerman bit at 0:22
I love the concept of "I'm sorry for the earrape" written on a score you have purchased.
I really liked how it never completely dissolved into nonsense and always came back to the original song
This is an accurate representation of what happens when you’re supposed to be practicing something but are overcome by an intense and chaotic swell of boredom.
im crying. every time. i can never predict where it goes next. every upload catches me so completely off guard. i love it.
HOLY SHIT
As someone who listens to Anson Lo and doesn’t live in HK, I was so surprised to hear Megahit at the end 😭 That was amazing

The mountain king is currently drunk hosting a party for several musicians, some pirates, Jojo, and others
These transitions are gold.
0:20 IDK what it is about that one note, but it cracks me up every time.
the oops trombone gets me every time
I have no idea how this came to be suggested for me, but my life is better since it was. This sounds like it's the soundtrack in my head.

I definitely love this piece, which 1:28 is Megahit as one of the few songs I know.
Strangely inspiring final chord. Thank you
The pianist was shot in the end. That last wham was their head hitting the keys.
was NOT expecting the bit of anson lo's megahit at the end lmfao, knew it sounded familiar
This is my favourite so far. I live for the cuica notes. It kills me. I live for it it. The cuica in these videos is my everything.
“In the hall of the king of F’s in music theory” would be a better name
this is what it's like inside my head. thank you for making a perfect video I can send people to explain
I was expecting In The Court of the Crimson King because I'm simultaneously uncultured and cultured
I hate how the glissando at 0:04 looks like it's going up because of the clef change
Greatness of transitions and great composition mix; I'm always delighted by your hard work and the fun results.
This is going into my "hmmm" playlist. well done. loved every bit of it... :)
This will become my alarm, I will listen to this every morning for the entirety of its brilliant composition to start of my day.

il vento d’oro was so perfectly placed I love it
This is still the best structured one I’ve come across in this series.
This reminds me of tabbing something out on guitar pro and getting lost where i was, getting frustrated, having a few beers, coming back to it later and adding random notes at the end, having more beers, trying to fix it but accidentally adding bits from other songs, passing out, and then waking up hungover the next day, opening the file and pressing play wondering wtf happened.
this is too good, this channel is so underrated, this is amazing
the canon in d to ventl d'oro goes so fucking hard
The idea of purely instrumental humor alone is already really fascinating but listening to these, I can't help but burst out laughing! 😂 Somehow this tickles a very specific part of my brain. I just love your videos SO much!
I've been waiting for someone to do this song! Sounds great!
This is like trying to focus on the main story while all the side quests are distracting you
It’s underappreciated how unhinged that gliss notation at 0:04 is
If it's worth learning music theory for anything, it's this. Absolute masterpiece.
Okay, I'm officially in love with this channel.
why do I absolutely love this?!
plz keep doing this, this is the happiest I've been in months
For some reason this fills me with a type of joy and rage that can only be understood as accepting chaos.
*perfection* , in one of its many outlets, and it could've only been made in this way
NOT THE GOSH DARN JOJO 🤣💕💕💕

This sound more like it would be in the hall of the ADHD king
Hoping to hear at least one Court of the Crimson King
My favorite thing as a pianist is to try playing some of these ridiculous arrangements so much fun hahaha
I like how this song still somehow keeps its general theme and song better than alll the other “remixes”
1:07 the megalovania FUCKING BROKE ME
I really liked this one lol the tiny yet noticeable changes are really cool especially if your a musican
We need more Mountain King with the Il Vento d'Oro bassline
Best one in a while, comedic timing on point.

When it started playing the wellerman I got so confused because i just got an ad with that song
Truly avant garde. Our grandchildren will look back on this the same way we do severely alcoholic American authors
This seems like something Victor Borge would have played.
You say this would be failing music theory, but any music theory teacher would give this an A. It certainly would in my class.
Hearing Giorno’s Theme triggered my fight or flight this is awesome
There's a couple of spots in here that are legitimately dope
Not going to lie, I’d listen to that Il Vento d’Oro unironically.
its the fact that the octaves arent even on beat with each other that makes this so scuffed
This is what its like in a composer's head; songs shifting from one to another because they have a bit that sounds similar.
If the King can play all this, is definitely not a fail.
You had to insert Anson Lo into this...huge kudos to you.
Missed opportunity to slide in ASGORE.
The fact that it’s so clean.
This is horrendous. Thank you.
Amazing a really refreshing take on the Hall of the Mountain king after the 6/8 jazz piece version from jasperiscool
The Swan Lake theme was a nice surprise in the midst of all the chaos
A high quality rip of classical music, exquisite 👌🏼
