As good as this is, it doesn’t have the part where the band struggles to hit the arpeggios at all and slows down to 50% of the written tempo. Then during the accels they start to speed up a bit before it becomes apparent that they still can’t hit the tempo and slow down again.

As first chair trumpet player for my middle school's band, I felt this on an extreme level, I dunno about highschool, I quit after the first three years

@@Jojo_Animation_Adventures Some of my class was competent, at least if you got them to focus for a few minutes, the tubas sure did love making loud boat noises though. I'd be lying if I didn't say that I squeaked out the highest note I could at least a few times every month during a random class, that or low fart noises, ah middle school, great fun

As a previous tuba player. The only thing us brass instruments understand was that there was never a quiet moment. There was only blasting.
Also, my band director would yell at us if we were that early on the last note. Sometimes we would do it just to spite him.

I just discovered that video a few days ago and have watched it about a dozen times. That guy has some real talent for writing what he calls “shitscores” lol - I can’t tell you how much I love this - makes me laugh (or at least smile) any time I need some humor.

This song was created in collaboration with Hololive and a game called "太鼓の達人"(Taiko no Tatsujin).
It is basically a straight rock tune, but also contains elements of flamenco and traditional Japanese music.

For a more natural demonstration of Hall of The Mountain King sounding terrible, anyone interested should look up the Portsmouth Sinfonia playing this song. In many ways that version sounds far worse than this, doubly so since it isn't someone trying to make something sound bad, the players were genuinely bad.

the one and only thing i have to say thats inaccurate is that, for lower levels, usually the last note of a hard phrase is played right, while everything leading up to it is missed.
that and the moment we finish the song we start chatting and laughing or playing excess notes lol
