This is so beautiful yet so tragic! So it seems like the blonde guy is suffering from a chronic illness, as shown from 0:25 as he is on a hospital bed. Also at the very beginning the glass heart is slowly losing blood, possibly signifying how his time is slowly running out. 0:18 seems to be their first encounter (as adults? maybe they knew each other when they were students but lost contact with each other), blonde seems to have a job while black haired still is in university. At 0:36 blood is flowing out of his mouth (signifying blonde's "lie" that they would stay together forever), and black haired just found out about blonde's illness, and he is deeply grieved and cries because blonde will die early. 0:41 is a flashback back to when they both didn't know he was sick, and they both look so happy together 😭. 0:51 is a flash to the present after blonde died, as black haired is sitting on the bench alone with empty eyes while looking at a happy couple. 0:57 is after black haired found out about blonde's illness, and is desperately, almost obsessively, holding on to his final moments with his lover. Black haired's face at 1:01 is so unemotional, in contrast to blonde's carefree smile. At 1:12 they share some of their final days at a hotel(?), and have tears in their eyes but gradual acceptance of his condition.
(This is just my analysis, I'm not sure if it's completely right though)

I like how the animator left the ending to our imagination. It's left to us to interpret as we want. I have seen some of the comments. I personally am taking it as a happy ending achieved from the struggles they went through and the guy beat his illness and those are tears of joy and they are together. I like it. Thank you ❤. I believe why must i take it as a tragic ending if it's upto to me to interpret it. I CHOOSE HAPPY ENDINGS FOR FICTIONAL CHARACTERS!

This really reminds me of the webcomic “10 Years That I Loved You The Most”. The story seems very similar and the characters even look a little alike 😭

I'll have to disagree, honestly. Maybe the illness part is similar, but the plot, nah. Tbh, that manhua was way too overhyped for me or maybe I just had high expectations haha. I read the manhua with expectations to cry & bawl as it is a tragedy, but nah, that didn't really happen. Maybe the novel is better but I generally don't read manhua novels as to confusing translations. While the idea of loving someone who straight up abuses you and being loyal to a jerk for 10 years is quite sad, for me, this video is sadder to me. I think what makes this animation sadder is the fact that these two people were in a healthy and loving relationship and to have an illness take the life of your most beloved who you were convinced to be together forever with you as early as that, its painful and its portrayed well in the video. It hurts even more that the lie in question was that they were gonna be together forever. Its the idea that because of an illness, their relationship and time together was cut short and the black-haired guy was left behind with only memories of his dead lover. Its also how this video absolutely ate at framing this story: how their relationship started (which was adorable), the intense heartbreak of the too near reality of your lover dying, and the grieving. It was how happy and in love they were LIKE I can literally feel their love for each other through the screen and for death to break such a relationship apart. Like THEY WERE SO GENUINELY IN LOVE AND HAPPY AND THE BLACK HAIRED GUY WAS BY THE BLONDE'S SIDE UNTIL HIS LAST DAYS. It's genuinely heartbreaking and heart-wrenching. The music is amazing too.

I'm pretty sure Blond is alive in the end and they have their happy ending :)
It seems like he had a very serious illness, that took a lot of time and was life threatening. Blonde tells Black about the risks of that illness and what I also assume a surgery in which he could lose his life.
Black is mentally holding onto the last straw as the person he loves, is so close to death. That also explains the scene where Black sits on the bench outside and looks at the couple, pining for his past, worry-free memories with his beloved.
In the end it seems like blond managed to overcome the high hurdles of the illness. Black embraces him from behind like saying: "Welcome back. Don't ever leave me again."
The last second is the one moment that makes me almost certain of their happy end. The tiny tiny comical heart that bounces from them when Blond excitedly hugs Black. That's a sweet "all well, ends well" scene. :))
Very subtle in the story telling but its so well-done! It took a couple of rewatches to fully appreciate this masterpiece. Plus, so cute.

Amazing interepretation of the song ;-; I'm so glad I found this artist through you. I think the song is about someone slowly leaving you but here it's because he's going to leave him behind and die. The lyrics are from the glasses man's perspective, who finds his lover dying so painful he wishes he 'shouldn't have loved', because it's his lover who made the first move 00:20. They're next-door neighbours in the dorm or apartment (0:16) but if you look at the background contrasted with 1:06 - 1:11 it's the same space with the wall removed. So either literally they had the wall knocked down or the wall is figurative for the glasses guy letting the blonde guy into his heart.
The one who's "bleeding" in 0:36 is actually the glasses guy, because the blood lines are positioned same as his tears in 0:38. He's hurting so badly in this relationship that it feels like he's being drained of love like blood. It seems like the blonde guy either downplayed his illness or never talked about it when they were getting together 0:54, because he's less serious and focused on the present, but I think he truly loves the glasses guy because in 0:28 he gave almost more than half the bed to him and winds the drip away from him even though he's so much bigger.They were either next-door neighbours in the dorm or apartment (0:16) but if you look at the background contrasted with 1:06 - 1:11 it's the same space with the wall removed. Ive never seen something like this in my life. This is a literal work of art i dont even have words to describe how much i love this like seriously 0:42 took the air out of my chest. You are so talented thanks for sharing. More please!!
imo the heart bottle gives like love potion vibes. I know the 'chronic illness' interpretation probably makes more sense, but I think the concept of lies goes really well with the love potion interpretation.
What I think is going on is that both of the guys were interested in the other, but the glasses guy didn't believe that blonde dude could reciprocate his feelings, hence the longing looks at the couple and the line 'how could you be in love'. So glasses guy used a love potion, and confessed his feelings. The love potion wouldn't have any impact on a person who is already in love with the administer, so the blonde dude didn't notice anything, but I do think his feelings and health became intertwined, since there's a sort of ambiguity in what the red liquid is; is it blood or is it a love potion?
So when glasses guy confessed to using a love potion, blondie was heart-broken-from what? Well it could be a few things: like him questioning whether his feelings were real, if he didn't love glasses guy enough, if glasses guy didn't love himself enough, that blondie was lied to and betrayed and etc. Now I think because of his heartbreak, his body gave up, because when his heart broke-it _broke,_ leading to him ending up in the hospital.
Now as for that last scene... it could go 2-3 ways, either it's the beginning of their story, or the conclusion-it could be where glasses dude first used the potion and got blondie to fall in love with him, it could also be after blondie got better and they resolved their issues or (and what I think QMENG did) both scenes from the beginning and ending are spliced together, in order to parallel the scenes.
ofc I think its more plausible that blondie does have an illness and the love potion was a metaphor, but I don't think the illness is a source of conflict. To me, it's more like climax kinda conflict that happened when glasses dude said that he was 'manipulating' blondie (hence love potion metaphor) and that blondie didn't actually love him.

i really love this video! from the art, to the animation, to the song choice, to the storyline. of course, i know nothing about this person's (very beautiful!) OCs, so this is my interpretation. but it seems some time after they started dating, the blonde came down with a certain illness. unfortunately it hinders his life, as well as their love life. they can't do "ordinary" things like other couples, such as going out for dates often (hence the one with glasses staring longingly at a couple he sees) like they used to because of the blonde one's illness. this situation is taxing on both of them, and causes several miscommunications in their relationship, leading to arguing and such. yet by the end of this video, we can see they want to be together no matter the hardship that comes with it all. i believe the heart-shaped bottle being filled and also emptied by the red liquid signifies that love is draining, but also very fulfilling.
overall, no matter what the storyline is, this video is just so good!!

At first I just watched the video and I was oh! A happy ending 😊 but then I came to the coments I kid u not I was crying so hard and now even hearing this song makes my heart ache
I watched this video a year ago and here I am watching it again. This time, it’s much more different than the first time I watched it. The first time I watched it it was much more exciting and I was completely obsessed IVE the art style and I was pretty much amazed by every single frame. It was pure talent to me. The second time I watched it, which is now which is a year ago from the last time I watched it,it’s still good but since a year ago I got really invested in art and started watching a lot more exciting art and discovered tons of new stuff, this video is not as good as it was the first time I watched it. It got “meh” and it felt shorter even if I only watched it once which was a year ago,all those emotions are fully gone.thats why the first time you do anything,you gotta go fully out because it’s really the last time your gonna get the full experience with the full emotions.
