Just found this vid, takes me right back, I had an SP1 (SP-Y) on an 02 plate, with Scorpion Race cans, one of the best bikes I've owned and I've had a few, it's a very, very special bike and it feels special when you ride it, as it should having been hand built in the HRC factory, and almost as fast down a certain B-road near to where I was living, as the GSX-R1000K5 I got afterwards.
I totally agree with your comments bikes of that era, were just for me beautiful, modern bikes may be more powerful, and have all the bells and whistles, like you really need 200bhp+ on the road, but bikes from that era, are still my favourite, and a lot more involving to ride than todays, with all the TCS, and ABS, doodads.

Agreed 100%. Modern bikes don't do anything for me, I guess I'm an old git lol.

I still think that motorcycles of this era are wonderful.

@@RetroSuperbikes no, not yet, he just picked it up last month. Been freezing here, he is still tinkering with the little things.
I used to fly for a living, and instruct.. A standard passenger plane will always return to straight and level after a period of time, a fight jet, once it is set in a turn, or even a dive it will stay there, that is called Neutral stability, the RC has that fighter stability, that is what I like about it, precise accurate predictable.
Looking forward to give his sp2 a twist. Cheers
