    Have you thought about putting the main hub/fuse/panel/thingamajig on a hinged piece of aluminium with some type of clip to hold it in place? I did that with a tractor where the wiring/fuses were in an awkward spot. It allowed the panel/block to stay in place for normal use, but I could pull the pins and get to the wiring behind it if I needed to without having to do a lot of disassembly in a tight spot.

    This is EXACTLY the video I needed as it is exactly the fuse block and switch panel I have. Your video was the BEST I've seen. My only question is do you take the grounds from the fuse block to the switch panel also or do you run each ground wire to the accessory?

    • @BassBrothersFishingDMV
      @BassBrothersFishingDMV  2 года назад

      No, the ground leads from you accessories go to the fuse block including the one from the switch panel.

    I converted a school bus into a fully functioning RV...with a shower, hot water, 50 amp service and AC.....I can't count how many times I changed my plan as I moved through...there is a what I call a 80/20 rule in doing any custom fabrication.......80% of the time is THINKING....20% of the time is working your plan.

    Remember: The fuses/breakers are to protect the WIRE, not the device. Having extra breakers doesn't hurt anything, but some may be redundant.

    Just bought my first jon boat! As soon as I did I went straight to youtube to start coming up with ideas. If I do all labor, what’s something like this cost after paint, materials, etc. Thanks!

      On my own project (12 foot jon conversion), I'm approaching $3K. But I'm not doing all aluminum framing and decking, waterproof hatches, etc. I'm going down the wood path a la Anthony Jones's first build, as it suits my skillset, interest, and budget much better. I suspect all-aluminum would push the cost beyond $5K easily...but that's just my guess.

  • @clintonmclimore8370
    @clintonmclimore8370 2 года назад

    I would have bought the one with a push circuit on each switch then you wouldn’t need a fuse panel at all. It’s very cheap and cuts out a lot of wiring. but hey that’s just me you did good work man!!!

      I believe I did at the rear of the boat so that I only had one negative lead to run to the fuse block at the center of the boat.

    "More Better" is something I say all the time. So YES it is proper placement of the words. Just don't ask an english teacher. (LOL) I've watch each of the electrical builds a few times now. I've enjoyed both of the boat builds you've done. I've recently moved my batteries from the rear of my boat to the middle to even out the weight. I also added a switch panel. So all of your content has been very helpful. Thanks for sharing. Big Fan!!!

      * I like the way you used the phrase " really quick " instead of the abomination " really quickly " etc. that is being thrown about nowadays. I don't know where or why people have accepted that type of speech as proper English, but it just rubs me wrong when people use to adverbs back to back like that. Anyway, sorry for my rant, but thank you for using, in my opinion, proper grammar.
      P.S. Great job on your video.
