Precisely. Prismatic is beating Evolving skies by double in EVERY metric. People truly have no idea, this set is currently the greatest of all time already by sheer data alone.
Technically it does but the PSA 10 multiplier on those 1st Editions can be life changing money though. Pretty sure a lot of those raw prices for 1st Edition are off as well. Probably because of the lower sample size going through the market each day.
This is what I think. If I were close, I could justify buying a couple expensive cards. but no way am I going to spend 5k on packs, and then buy the remaining 5k in cards I am missing. Do I really believe the demand is there for people to spend 5k just on the SIR evolutions? I don't. Do I think there are enough fans of specific evolutions to keep the price high? Also no. There just isn't much product being opened right now, so whales gonna whale.
Hahahahahahaha oh my god dude. Please do not delete this comment. I want to keep coming back to this over the next few years and just laugh my butt off
@@JoeNAriaKetchumallthis is such close-minded self-obsessed thinking. You're making your judgments based on how much it would cost for you to get a master set. How many people in this hobby are there? How many of those pursue Master sets? And how many of that smaller number are going to pursue a master set of the most valuable set ever released? I doubt very many people are making the same arithmetic that you are, I'm sure a lot of people just like to casually open a pack from time to time
@@HammerStudioGames People said the same thing when I said BTC was going to 100k. No argument just flapping your gums. If you have been here long enough, which clearly you haven't, you would know that this has happened before with previous sets
I dont see a lot of people commenting on this part, but the print quality of prismatic is shit. I pulled an Umbreon EX and it was off center and had f’d corners, probably a 8. The majority of the Vmax’s were PSA 10. I would be surprised if the Gem rate of the EX’s is more than 35% Bad pull rates combined with bad print quality is gonna drive the prices way up.
No they are not, we've had multiple websites and groups release pull rate data and the pull rates on this set are no worse than they have been the last five or six
i feel like pokemon is gonna add mega evolution to the evee lineup we need another evee lineup set to crash this one i feel like pokemon would be justified in making another evee set this not set in stone but i fee like this could happpen im not that mad cause i know more evee evolution cards could come on the way now pokemon would have to make a better evee set to crash this one which brilliant stars failed to do so as its technically a sub evee evolution set pokemon should absolutely capitalize to make another evee evolution set and correct their failure with brilliant stars.
Singles prices are always very high right after release because those who don't care about the price will buy the cards they want ASAP because they want it first. This is just extremely overblown this time because of the general Pokemon hype right now, the fact that no one can get the product to open it, and that Eeveelutions are popular. Once those buyers exit the market, the prices will crater. Who is actually gonna buy any of these cards for even half the current price? It doesn't make any sense financially. I expect a roughly 50% decrease in set value before the reprint and a further 50% (75% total) after the reprint. Everyone WANTS this set be the next evolving skies, but you can't just force that to happen. The market has to decide.
Everyone thought Vapor Skies was the set of the century. But now it seems like Vapor Evolutions will smoke it.
Perfectly said
Evolving Vapor 😅

Print to Oblivion. One box per scalper.
7 hits vs 32 idk you tell me why one of them is more expensive than the other
The issue is Prismatic is a special set so it will be printed for at least 2 years. Evolving Skies was a standard set which is printed much less.
English isn’t used to masterballs. Yup I 100% agree
The masterballs is the biggest factor
For an even more crazy comparion. Prismatic set value is currently more expensive than base set 1st edition from 1999. Only like $300 more but still
Technically it does but the PSA 10 multiplier on those 1st Editions can be life changing money though. Pretty sure a lot of those raw prices for 1st Edition are off as well. Probably because of the lower sample size going through the market each day.
@@monkey39128 Agreed but it is very difficult to get those grades.
Insane, you should open the set instead of sitting on it vapor :)
#cheese
i dont think we see a big drop, second wave is going to be small.
Great job on getting a big piece :)
GOD SKIES 🎉
The market will crash in 2 months around Journey Together then 6 months later Prismatic will top Evolving Skies.
Not sustainable at all and it won't be just a small % price drop. A large downward gap is going to fill but it will take some time.

it might be sustainable if there's minimal product opened

Really comparing old set to a less than a week old.

Maybe your best bet is to buy the Gem mint 10s.
Did you see the CTR video with the ripped card? 😂 Seems to be a trend for SV. Print quality has been rubbish.
You have not seen enough data to make that judgment. You had one anecdotal experience and you're extrapolating that to the entire product run.
@@HammerStudioGames well we do know evolving skies had good print quality. And so far S&V hasn’t had a single set with good quality
Yes but the Pull rates are straight a**

This is the longest sentence ever. You only used a period once.
That would be cool but isn't this just guessing? I'd like a new Rocket's Mewtwo but I can't wish it into existence.
Reprints are going to destroy the singles prices for a long time. Sealed etbs are going to hold some value though.
Destroy? Nah, maybe 15-20% drop max before rising again
@@Pokemonman24this.
That's part of the point though. This could crash 80% and it would still be a strong set.
Price is just gonna go straight up after the market instantly eats up the reprint
PE quite literally has everything but IRs. This set will age very well. Invest now.
Vapor
yuuuuuup
