    This is the engine and the noise should listen from Euro 6-Engined Mercedes Buses made in Brazil. For a 4 cylinder Diesel, is pretty substantial in performance. And it has a wide power output: 160 to 230 bhp.

    Love the video and I love the sound of the Detroit DD5. I wish we had these back in the day.

      I love the DD5 feature wish but I’m starting not to like the motor . It pulls hills terrible . I hate that traction control . I hate the way it ratels. It takes of like a snail . It’s jus a big difference from the Cummins. When u get a bus load of kids jus expect to take ur time because it’s not gonna get up and plz do not turn out in front of anyone

      It makes me wonder what the DD8 (Inline 6 Variant) sounds like.

    We bought 3 new ones ( Thomas) with the new Detroit engines. We have 5 2012 Thomas models with the Cummins engines. I had to get used to the sound of the new Detroits.

    That rear axle sounds good. I thought all new 2021 buses don’t have a rear axle that makes noise.

      I rode one that does have a rear axle that makes noise 2 months ago, but it had a Cummins, not a DD5.

    Sounds like a Cummins but quieter and weaker. Love the video tho!

    • @taterjordan5628
      @taterjordan5628  2 года назад +3

      It’s quieter but strong so much better torque pull. Pulls his with loads of kids way better then the Cummins

      My high school had IC buses with the maxx force 7 diesels and had terrible DPFs. I’ve ridden in 2005ish C2 with the five nine in a middle school field trip once and a 2010 Bluebird with the six point seven in a good Chunk of my high school life and they are the smoothest running and quietest Diesel engines in a school bus.
