I was up in Lancaster today cruising around and stopped at Stoltzfus Meats while there I saw you posted this video so right after eating I took a ride over to bluebell then Morgantown absolutely stunning thank you for the post

@@Jason-dv8zf , the 8 mile stretch from Morgantown to BlueBall along the upper Conestoga was highlighted here. Both sides of 23 are pretty commercially undeveloped.
There are whole swaths of Eastern Lancaster County that are mostly farmland. My channel’s focus is on the Amish-Mennonite of the county and not on the “commercialization” of the county which in and of itself is not a bad thing…it’s part of what makes the county vibrant. Have you been through the Farmersville Mennonite settlements? Mostly farmland. If you choose only to see development then that’s what you’re going to see.
People have to live somewhere and people have to work somewhere. Unless you want to depopulate an area it’s a fact of life.

@@LancoAmish I have farmed my whole life. I have farmed and done consulting work throughout Lancaster. If there was no problem with developments the local townships would have not put ag zoning laws to protect farm land as best they can. Think about this the population of the county is 550,000 and the next census they are thinking it will top 700,000. But even at current numbers that is 568 people per square mile. I farm the Susquehanna valley further north. Our county is bigger and we struggle with development and our population is 52/ mile. Morgantown is beautiful but I know of 3 different farm on the rt 10/23 intersection that are all housing developments. 500 acre farm north east Lancaster on the way to Hershey is completely covered in warehouses now.

@@Jason-dv8zf , I never said there wasn’t development. You made it sound like almost the entire county is covered in pavement which is patently not true. Almost 70% (67%)of the county is farmland and the county has the most farms in the state. I’ve driven close to 25,000 miles in the county over the past 4 years creating hundreds of videos and many more in the past 20 years photographing the county. The county is one of if not the most vibrant counties economically in the state. With that comes people and housing needs. Only time will tell but as of now the county is still 2/3 farmland.
