icypyschedelic hayes good job
This was my older brothers favorite band. He died two days ago and still don’t know how to feel. It’s been really weird. But I’m still gonna listen to incubus for those good memories of him
I’m sorry to hear. My condolences to you and your family. Your brother must’ve been a great man.
@@chrisperez4199 it’s weird. He was great. I’ll miss him. Can’t do anything but to try now
that must be extremely weird. do you want to describe the situation, since we're a bunch of internet strangers who won't be full of Sorry For Your Losses about it? it seems like the people closest to the deceased person usually have basically no one to talk to because everyone's being so careful around them. how old was he? was he married? do you want to say how he died? etc
honestly you're clearly in shock still so please don't make any major life changes (don't break up with your gf, quit your job, decide to move, or anything like that-- tell everyone in your life you need a minute)
@@SpecialBlanket I’m still doing everything I should. I haven’t left nor quit my job, I’m just empty. Trying to do things I hoped he would’ve been proud of. That’s all I can do.

Pelo jeito vocês passam pelo mesmo problema que nós aqui no Brasil. Tá chato de ouvir a maioria das rádios

The transition between Steven Yeun to Incubus on this song gave goosebumps
SAMEEEE
yeah that was so sickk
songs in tv shows hit so much harder
Same here bro!
Same. That, and the amazing grace that he sang. was beautiful!
This song and album were so good. Incubus and Linkin Park defined the early 2000s, the last great decade of music
For me, it was the '90s which was the last great decade of music, but the '00s was the decade that music stopped evolving. Everything since then just sounds the same.
Every decade had its style, everything was changing year after year, for example, the early '90s were so much different than the late '80s, but now, whether something came out in 2010 or 2024, it's almost the same.
Even some new bands, mostly alternative, which make good music, they just rehash the '00s, if not the '90s.
@@Dreamcatcher9000early 2000s had some great music different but great .. you can listen today and brings such a nostalgic feeling … those years you mentioned were a completely different sound alternative rock bands didn’t make it 💔
@@Soamazinq3 Nostalgia depends on age, of course. I was born in 1979, so I was a kid in the '80s and a teenager in the '90s, so, I feel more nostalgic about those decades. Weill, I even feel nostalgic for the '70s and '60s, which I didn't live! :p I have some nostalgia for the early '00s, but they don't make me feel this "warmth" I feel for the previous decades.
What year were you born?
@@Dreamcatcher9000 understood I get it .. I was born in 91 so I was a kid in the 90s but still remember everything about the 90s from music to movies it was a great decade I was a teenager in the 2000s era then an adult so really all these decades mean something to me .. I respect the generations before as well because I Also occasionally listen to music from the 60s 70s and 80s thanks to my mom
@@Soamazinq3 So which do you prefer mostly, the '90s or '00s? I have more fond (music) memories from the '80s, when I was a kid, so maybe you have more fond from the '90s when you were a kid, compared to the '00s;
Objectively speaking though, regardless of ages and generations, the '90s were SO much better than the '00s.
And what do you like mostly from the '80s?
My Dad just had a stroke. A mild one. Complete 80s rocker, had the long hair, is a self taught guitarist. This is a song of many he has listened to with me, discussing the moral of the song. I’m so thankful to have music like this because they hold memories of my father… how I felt with him in those moments come flooding back.
June 23rd,baby and this melody sounds good and is keepin me groovin for my work shift!

Woke up with this song in my mind and had to find it and play it. Who else had this song stuck in their head?
wow. so did I...that's weird
Danny Koko That is weird there is no reason, I hadn't even heard this song since about 2002
That's what I'm saying. It's been forever, and to both randomly come here to listen to it. Definitely odd!
It's always a fav and one that reoccurs in my mind as well...just a good theme and good spirit to it, a song that has a vibration attuned to my own spirit.
You all do realize that an incubus is a demonic male sexual spirit right? And when you listen to this you are inviting demons into your minds.
My mom used to listen to this song on repeat and sing it all the time when I was little. Song just randomly got stuck in my head. Miss my mom.
Karlie Stoddard 😢😢😢
This song was my "thinking" song as a teenager. I would sing it multiple times a day cuz for some reason it was only thing that made me feel like me being me would be, okay. Idk what the feeling was that this song gave your mom that made her love to sing it repeatedly but I'm sure that she was moved in a way that made her soul happy. And she gave u this song that you will never forget , so u can always remember.

I didn't do it alone tho... medication settled my mind... my counselor got to the root of my problems and my family and friends carried me through. I feel so lucky to have been a child in the 90’s and a teen in the early 2000’s. It was just the perfect time to grow up. Now I’m a disillusioned middle aged man feeling like my best days are behind me and wishing desperately that I could go back and do it all over again.

But lately I'm beginning to find that

To be one of the hive
Will I choose water over wine
And hold my own and drive?

So if I decide to waiver my chance
To be one of the hive
Will I choose water over wine
And hold my own and drive?
It's driven me before
And it seems to be the way that everyone else gets around
But lately I am beginning to find
That when I drive myself my light is found
So whatever tomorrow brings
I'll be there with open arms and open eyes
Whatever tomorrow brings
I'll be there, I'll be there
Would you choose water over wine
Hold the wheel and drive?
Whatever tomorrow brings
I'll be there with open arms and open eyes
Whatever tomorrow brings
I'll be there, I'll be there
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR GENERATIONS FOR ALL ETERNITIES AND INFINITIES FOR YOUR EXTREMELY IMMENSE AND MASSIVE HARDWORK,PESERVERANCE AND SACRIFICES.
Thank you...
For every music video, there's this one savior in the comments. Thank you, good sir.
Deep!
Lyric comments should be put on top. Always.
I freaking LOVE this band this song
2:30 that guitar solo is like a trance 😭
There's just something about the combination of turntables and acoustic guitars that works so well! Wish there were more songs like this.
Seen them live here in Toronto. The turntableist is a gem
There will be my friend. You just manifested it
If you see this, search "Blue stones - Magic"
These guys are from Windsor Detroit border and blowing up.
They have the 90s sound you're looking for especially the Magic track.
Also worth mentioning: "Cleopatrick" band.
Sort of like blindspot phlex. My country's band ❤
@@NelsonMandela1999 Thanks for the recommendation. It's exactly what I was looking for!
This sounds like what the year 2000 sounds like if I had a way to even describe it.
Amen brother
I was born in 2000 . But it doesnt seem almost 20 years old
k foxy grandma
This sounds like my childhood.
I know EXACTLY what you mean. Doesn't get any more early 2000s than this
These people got me through some of the darkest nights possible ❤️
This will always be my favorite song of all time
My favorite song of all-time. The best songs have a deep meaning to them, not some empty BS like most songs. As a former Uber/Lyft driver and current long-haul truck driver who was once penniless, homeless, jobless, and directionless in life, this song speaks to me.
you doin good now brother?
Always Forward 💪
Yessir. 😎🤙🏻🤙🏻
I feel you 💯
happy for your success sir!!!!
It's 2022 let's leave these gem of lyrics on top
(Lyrics)
Sometimes
I feel the fear of
Uncertainty stinging clear
And I, can't help but ask myself how much I'll let the fear
Take the wheel and steer
It's driven me before and seems to have a vague
Haunting mass appeal
But lately I'm beginning to find that I
Should be the one behind the wheel
Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there
With open arms and open eyes yeah
Whatever tomorrow brings
I'll be there, I'll be there
So, if I
Decide to waiver my
Chance to be one of
The hive
Will I choose water over wine
And hold my own and drive?
Aah ah ooo
It's driven me before and it seems to be the way
That everyone else gets around
But lately I'm beginning to find that when
I drive myself my light is found
Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there
With open arms and open eyes yeah
Whatever tomorrow brings
I'll be there I'll be there
Would you choose water over wine?
Hold the wheel and drive
Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there
With open arms and open eyes yeah
Whatever tomorrow brings
I'll be there I'll be there
Turutu turutu turututuru

I always give a little giggle when he says, "Hold my own". And yes, I'm much to old for that.
Incubus is the best!!! But you need to listen to "Live Not Survive" by SLT right now! You're missing out !!!!!!
Don't know how or why it took so long for me to realize how good this song is. Top notch quality musicianship. I'm gonna learn it.
Those drums though, god DAMN they're nice!!!
This song is so profound. I loved it when it was released in 1999. Now 23 years on, I wonder if we have learned anything about letting our fears and addictions control us?
I know I have failed several times but I'm here in my mold

No. Not as a whole anyway.
I wonder if you have.
@@davidemmons899 Not so much. But I have hope for others.

Same here😊
Have you listened to summer romance?
54 here and LOVE this song
@@melon187 Rediscovered this song. Ultra relevant.
As a 30 something who found this band in the midst of teenage anxiety & depression, while also feeling like I didn't fit in, I am still so greatful for their music.❤
23 years later, and the songs still take me back. Their music was such a comfort, especially growing up in a small minded rural town in Ohio..
I'm so glad new people are finding their music, it truly is timeless. ☮️✌🏼💗
I can relate.
It's my motivation to go on after losing so many loved ones and battling alcoholism. Just woke up and realized i gotta sober up to stick around and make more memories and be a better friend etc ❤. Much love look after yourself! You've got this!
🙏❤️
Before it was incubus. Nowadays you’d be trans 😊
Same exact identical experience as you. I see you and love you because you remind me of me and how special this group was to me during my angst 🤗💕
If your listening to this in 2024 your awesome
I'll never stop loving this song and will keep it alive
