Vehicle info - BMW F25 X3, 2013 model with iDrive.
Installed date - 30th of June 2022
Just a quick video of 12.3 inch massive new display with CarPlay & Android Auto system through the existing rotary dial pad and touch screen.
FAQs:
Q. My car has factory fitted iDrive, what's the option for mine?
A. It is still compatible and able to keep the original audio features
Q. Does it support Front Camera as well?
A. It does have additional input however It will need a trigger switch / button to be installed, to manually display the front cam.
Q. Does this product support screen mirroring as well?
A. It does have a screen mirroring app but we don't reckon it's worth using.
Q. Does this change the headunit as well?
A. No it doesn't, regardless of whether your car has the iDrive or not.
Q. Will it work with older model 5 Series, F10 from 2012?
A. Not this particular model but we do offer a compatible display product.
Q. I have a Dash Cam installed in my car, can i hook it to this display to see what's being recorded / already been recorded?
A. Not possible - normally it will need a dedicated app / cable to be installed and most of Dash Cam manufacturers only offer it for mobile phone, not this type of infotainment display.
