TIER V, free auto reloader, constantly giving more ammo without full clip reload, 5 clip, good armor, relative good speed (not slow), not bad gun dispersion either. As free player this is great. Premium, good to train big crew for higher tiers.
I understand many who have tons of good tanks not blown away, but for me it was a solid gift. Thank you!

This, T-34 andT-34 Shielded are my favorite soviet tier 5s for now.

I like German KV-1 more over this KV-1S, it's better armored(even the weakspot on the turret is a rounded 95mm), better dispersion(It's actually superb for a T5 heavy), gun depression is -10, DPM is better as well with only 3s cd.
in War Thunder, the gemran KV-1 754 (r) is super overpowered

I don't know about that tank. I mean they depopulated Tier v and lower, as all events require tier vi +. This to the additional fact that over the years more and more people grinded through that tier with multiple lines.
It used to be a crowded area where lots of freeloaders grinded credits but nowadays it seems quite often a barren wasteland and you are just filler tanks for tier 6/7 games.
The pool got further decreased when they removed tier 3 from meeting tier v.
I mean... Some probably enjoy it? But t-50-2, superchaffee provides much more usability.
So it's pretty much just free credits.

I'd rather have received a KV-2 with the pre-nerf HE mechanics on its shells as the reward. That or the old Bulldog with the 10-shot autoloader.

When I tried this tank, it performed very well, at close-combat AND at sniping! You just have to be a bit patient while sniping...
In tanks compare with BIA roload time is 4.2 +6.6+7.5+8.4+10.3 together full clip 37.0 seconds. Armor wise its much weaker tank than T1 or standard KV, a bit lower hp to but with better mobility and clip potential. The main bad part is long interclip reload while bursting. I haven't play it but look I must give it a try. KV-1SA have a potential, especially in coordinated platoon with other heavies or mediums, but not quite to dominate. It's an interesting toy but don't shy in any aspects to make it OP.

This should be the reviews on every premium put into the game “not broken” it should be a fun tank and equal to non premiums (coming from someone who isn’t afraid to pull out their card)

Last year I got the KV 1 Shielded from lootboxes, compared with that tank, this one is amazing.

I prefer the new German Pz.Kpfw. KW1 over this KV-1SA. I have gone head to head with them and come out on top with the Pz version. I like the armor profile and gun more.

I was always saying KV-1 double barrel 57mm would have been a better gift, even as a tier VI.
That would of been great fun. This KV-1SA is pointless. The KV-1 with the 85mm has close on 40% better turret armour 110mm compared to 82mm and massive 50% better DPM 2276 to 1564

I think you will find that checking the teeth of a horse that was given as a gift, to determine it's age, is considered rude in every language.
The phrase is don't stare a gift horse in the mouth.

I simply cant enjoy this tank... 2,3 sec between shells seems too long for low tier tanks. And the gun handling just doesn't work for me. Apart from that, its nice to recive reward tanks. Greetings from Brazil!!

this tank is a fake autoloader, it doesn't matter if you reload the whole clip or if you shoot it right away, it will basically be the same reload time
