I absolutely love Rene, he just works for me. Great in randoms, epic in frontline. Mobility is the highlight in my opinion, and so long as you remember how to play with cupola you are booming.
I remember when the Renegade first showed up in the game. It was wrecking tier 8 matches because its dpm was just insane for the time. Renegade platoons would just troll the more open maps like Prokorovkha, Malinovka, Karelia, etc., and shred your teams. I'll never forget a time on Karelia when I lost to a platoon of them. They came from the northern side. I forget what tier 8 I was... probably a TD or my Type 110, because I only had 3 tier 8s at the time I think. Anyways, our team got wiped out in the northwest. We're sniping them, manage to take out one, but the other two flank and there was nothing we could do. Me, the other defenders, and the arties got our butts handed to us.
BZ really did change how you can play this tank. It can barely penetrate cupola and to take 800 for the team on a ridge-line is brutal. Gun is epic though. Like REALLY epic. Also this is day FOURTEEN asking for Charlemagne:)

Of all things I’d the T55a HT 15 blocking mission with the Renagade! Turns out at mid distance if people can’t hit your cupola the turret is strong as &$#$&*! It also plays like theE5 and the M103, great gun avoid close brawling.
For me, the Renegade is a perfect tank, not flawless, but perfect. It has clear strength and weaknesses. And it scales with skill very hard. In other words, if you're good, Rene is epic. If you're a bit clueless, Rene is nothing extraordinary. A tank having clear strength and weaknesses requires good knowledge of the game? It's a pure gem.
For me this tank isn't 5 stars, more like 3 and a half or 4 at most, basically because the tumour on top of the turret and the lack of side armor to sidescrappe properly. You have to move your gun like mad to protect that cupola no matter what. It has decent mobility and DPM, so for me it feels like the upgraded version of the T34 with less alpha but it's not invincible in ridge lines like the T32 or the T-832.
I'm really bad with heavy tanks... But when you can make a Renegade almost like a medium nowadays... I really love it even knowing the fact i played with it 1 or 2 years back 🤪 When i was acing it sometimes i wanted it had a HEAT instead of APCR's... It reminds me a T110E5🙄 Of course not that much as Škoda T56 reminds Vz.55 if you know what i mean 🤣 but still... 😊 P.S. I would prefer to play with Renegade instead of Škoda T56

The biggest problem for me with Škoda T56 that it's too slow and as i'm most of the time ''lucky'' to meet the enemy that's willing to take one or two hits for a team and then give 3+ back... Yes yes i know i need to use mini map etc... But i'm talking about the mid/ending of a battle when most of the time i'm alone vs 3-5+ tanks and at those moments you understand how weak that ''beast'' a.k.a. Škoda T56 is and that with Renegade most likely you would be able to win... So that's why i would prefer to play with Renegade. 😊
Rene is epic. Its one of the tanks that paper does not tell the full story. One of the best tanks in the game. Its kind of a hybrid between medium and heavy.

@@DeathSusanoo i have 3000 wn8 on most of my heavy t10 3300+ on t8 heavy yes I’m not good enough👍 what the renegade has more than prog is dpm that’s all he have, he has nothing more (in contrary he is less in pretty much every domain) than prog 54
@@The_irregular renegade has better gun handling, better dpm, higher alpha so trading is nicer. plus youre not bound to the auto-reloader mechanism of the prog. you may have a high wn8, but apparently ignore all parts of a tank besides dpm :'D

I have 1600 battles in wot and 12k on console but I played between 2013-2017. I have an easier time playing tanks like this or patton or strv74 than tanks with poor gun handling.
Rene is just a T32 with a shitty coppula, he can't do anything T32 can't do. only thing rene has is 360 alpha instead of 320 alpha... but you cant peak any right corner without showing a weak spot Tier6 can pen without gold ammo. T32 > Rene imho
Love the console version of this tank, and the pc one it's good too, anyways still cannot understand why that much complains about bz i mean KV-2 it's a thing that can meet t4 and have 910 alfa with better dpm and tbh it have some games that is unplayable because of the rng but other ones you can feel like if you were playing with leopard, better alfa and dpm than BZ with 2 lower tiers... I have BZ and it's only good when the rng god bless your shots, otherwise you can only lose credits with it...
