Hey mate, just to give you an idea of what I would eat to give you an idea of this. Worth noting that I am currently trying to reduce dairy as well so you can add in more dairy as well if you want. This is from my food diary for the past week:
Monday: Protein Pancakes with Lemon and Stevia; Roasted Chickpeas and Fruit; Maple/Soy Tofu with Broccoli, Quinoa and Tahini sauce; Black Bean Bolognaise with Pasta, Protein Shake.
Tuesday: Porridge with Berries, Maple and Almond Milk; Musli Bar and Fruit; Roasted Potatoes with home made baked beans and cheese; Home made Pizza with Cheese, Mushroom, Capsicum and Pesto Sauce.
The next two days, including today are repeats of those two days as I tend to life via meal prep and alternate through meals.

My favourite quote relating to this is “disease doesn’t run in families, diets do”
As someone with a cancer ridden family it really struck a chord with me. Been plant based 2 years and been a great decision mentally and physically. In terms of money, veganism is expensive, plant based is cheap. Always respected your humility Spencer and think it’s great you’re using your platform for this.
Major learning curve with this but the longer you stick it out the more you learn and adapt

Loads of people today are so massively anti vegetarian and anti vegan and have so many misconceptions about that kind of diet but your definitely not that kind of person. Good to do for moral and environmental reasons but its also a tool that has worked for a lot of people to become more healthy. Hopefully this video will make people more open minded to a vegetarian diet r even eating more vegetable based food.

Loved the video! I had the same problem with farting in the beginning which then stopped after 2 weeks. After doing some research, I found that the microbiome is changing soo much from the different diet and mainly because of increased intake of fibre.
And don't worry about the carb intake for fat gain, if you get a lot of fibre, naturally you will not overeat, especially because plant foods are generally a lot less calorie dense you should definitely get full before consuming many excess calories. Just make sure you get enough!
I also found it strange not to have meat on the plate and had some mock eats and such but those have mainly replaced by a variety of beans which is then the main protein source along with whole grains. I didn't feel a difference until I stopped eating milk and eggs, felt more energetic! If you want to research health, the book "How not to die" by Dr Micheal Greger has helped me a lot!
Thanks for making the video, enjoy the journey 😉

I’ve heard lots of people say they felt physically much better for it, I just felt the same but felt good mentally for doing it. I guess some people probably go from an unhealthy omnivorous diet to a healthy veggie diet and assume it’s because they cut the meat out but it’s actually just the fast food and rubbish that’s made the difference. ‘If slaughterhouses has glass walls we’d all be vegetarian’
The meat industries carbon industry, is to do with transporting to us. British meat gets exported. We import lots of meat. Soya gets grown and then shipped thousands of miles to feed one cow for a year, could feed 13 people for a year. But that middle part adds on lots

Hey Spen, great video! I'm a vegan for ethical reasons. There's a good argument to be made that the production of dairy and eggs is more unethical than the production of meat. Veganism is also the boycotting of products tested on animals and clothing made form animals. Maybe do some research and see if veganism might be for you (I recommend the Best Speech You Will Ever Hear - Gary Yourofsky, or Dominion (really tough watch), even Earthling Ed's youtube videos). Sounds like you're already thinking about the ethical implications of your actions which is really great. Here's me hoping you can eventually turn vegan and use your platform to help spread the message, but even this is great. Keep up the great work with Hashtag as well, you're doing big things!

Left feeling completely swayed on veganism but people like joe rogan have come out and disputed alot of the claims made in the film. So im still left in this limbo of not knowing which route to go. Ultimately I think society is eating too much meat and we should strive to reduce our meat consumption and increase vegetable consumption for the sake of ethics and also personal health

I never judge anyone for their choice of diet like it’s their life let them live it the way they want, I see both sides to the meat eaters vs vegetarians arguments and I’m so glad that someone with so much voice over the younger generation shares the same morales as myself so hats off to you

Check out JRE 1389. There's nothing wrong with being vegan/vegetarian but the game changers doc is a non-scientific propaganda film

Recommend checking out some response videos to that episode to see the other side because ofc Joe is also biased. I was doubting the game changers when listening to that but the studies Kresser cites are few and flawed according to the other side. I checked out some of the studies and found the vegan perspective more compelling

I did the exact same thing after watching The Gamechangers, I’m 5 days into veganism and I really do think about a lot of things differently. It really is a lifestyle choice hahah our environment is so unsuited for its crazy....

Spen, you should do a video on the Game Changers docu, and take in consideration all the lies told in that docu.
Kinda funny that James Cameron, as you said was the director, has millions of dollars invested in plant protein, and most of the athlets in the only been vegetarians for a few months or turned back into meat diet after that documentary.
And lets not talk about Arnold being in it, loooool.
Im just saying vegetarianism isnt very good, but basing it on that docu is straight stupid.
