@Cusco kinti MTBing cuanto cuesta por uno de esos vaccaciones más o menos? Yo viví alla en huaraz durante esos dos años y quiero volver. Nunca he ido a cusco ni la selva alla.
Hi. My bike bag was lost on my 2017 trip to Tibet! Luckily it showed up just in time to ride. Matt Y. Was on that trip and it was incredible. I also just got back from riding in the sacred valley in October 2022. I remember those trails above Cusco. I look forward to recognizing the trails in the sacred valley in your next video.
Love the first jersey. Thats from a local design from Ecuador, Rockgarden. I have a few jerseys from them. Hope you come to Ecuador to ride some trails here, before tha rain season starts.
Great first video Brian! What a trip it was! Can't wait to see more! To address the comments about protests and personal safety, let me just say this... don't believe everything you hear in the news! I've been here in Cusco for the past few months and have witnessed it all firsthand. I've been right in the middle of some of the protests and demonstrations, and have been dealing with the roadblocks and various closures all throughout this trip. Not once have I felt threatened or like I was in any kind of danger. Like Brian said, you gotta live your life! But keep watching and you'll see some of the issues we had to deal with on our trip. Definitely kept us on our toes! 😅 - Matt
I love how deal with road blocks on this trip. Thank you for your positive attitude. This is great. Oh and the street/trail adventures are awesome too.
Been loaded with work but couldn`t wait to start watching your adventures here in South America! Finally watching the first video! Couldn`t expect for less. Another nice one, despite all the hassle with your luggage haha! Cheers from Brazil!
So you finally made it to Peru!!! Bienvenido amigo!! You will have a blast on the sacred valley. There are soo many trails. Big old fan here since your Santa Cruz Bronson unboxing video ( yep). Hope you have the chance to rides trails in Lima a lot of good ones.
Love Peru! Was there last november visiting family and the food, the people, the diversity of environment is so great! Helps if you speak some spanish but you can get by in a group and learn a few things. Probably too late, but the restaurant Ceviche Seafood Kitchen in Cusco is amazing. Also Limbus has an incredible view of the city, really inventive cocktails and I had a tomahawk steak for 100 soles ($25)! Worth mentioning are the roaming dogs. Might be actual people's dogs or strays but generally well fed and behaved, though you can see they'll chase bikes. ;)
Love it, I was in Peru earlier this year for 2 weeks and went from the Amazon Jungle to the Andes mountains. Was a great adventure. No biking unfortunately but still breathtaking. Getting prescribed Diamox ensured we had no altitude sickness at all.
Gotta tell ya, buddy, you live a life most of us will only ever dream about. Luckily, I just had my prescription of "Extra-Strength Vicarious" refilled, so it seems we're both in the right place at the right time. Boom! 👍💪
As a Swiss cyclist, I found this video to be both exciting and disappointing. It was exciting to see the beautiful landscapes and culture of Peru, but disappointing that you were not able to bring your bike along on the journey. I can only imagine how much more enjoyable the experience would have been if you had been able to explore on two wheels. Nevertheless, the video was well-made and gave a great sense of the country and its people. I appreciated the effort you put into showcasing the country and sharing your experiences with others. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more of your travel adventures in the future.
Looks like a great trip! My wife and I were there in December and stayed in the same hotel in Cusco. It was just as the unrest started. We had to stay a couple extra days till the airport opened back up
Seeing as you're going international again, make sure to put Barcelona high on your list next time you come to Spain! I know you love the Basque Pyrenees, but you can basecamp here and see some of the amazing trails in and around the city. Plus, the Catalan/Andorra side of the range is only an hour or two out!
Awesome first day Brian , that’s one of those trips where it’s like “ man my luggage is not here no bags then it starts to rain 😢☔️ and then slowly it gets better, your luggage will arrive your bike then the sun ☀️ will come out and it’ll be the best trip ever with amazing adventures and great memories, keep it up bro you got all your subscribers behind you willing you on and getting you through the tough days 👍🏾👍🏾🤘🏾
Wow, I am so ready to go back to Peru. Been since 2010 I was there. I did buy a bike in Ecuador and left it there in prep of going back to there or Peru. The trails there look similar to Ecuador and always have bad ruts in them from the rain. I hope your bags/bike arrive soon.
I am having flash backs! I took a trip to Scotland this past summer and my bag situation was the same. Darn Air Lines! Had to do exactly what you did Brian and just go to the store and get some gear. Regardless, looks like a fantastic trip! Good Luck!!
Great vid! Would be great if you could share more on more detail like trail names, your impressions on the trail, how many laps are you getting per day, etc. Really considering making the trip!
Check the link in the video description for the trip itinerary and feel free to shoot us an email if you’d like more information including all the trail names.
Cusco is one of my favorite places I've ever been. Such an interesting town and so much to do in the surrounding areas. If you're still there, go to Yaku and try the Alpaca, it is out of this world.
Biking in Peru looks great! Very cool! It would not help with the bike or bike gear, but I learned the lesson 40 plus years back. Always travel using a carry-on bag with minimal essential clothing, electronics, meds and toiletries. If needed, I can usually last 6 days or so just out of the carry-on. It can be a pain, but worth the trouble.
Too many RUclipsrs get so caught up in the quality of their videos that they forget why we watch... We watch because the creatures are entertaining. Bad looking content is better than no content. And a lot of was were watching guys like BKXC and Biker before their video and sound quality was half of what it is today. 🤙
When I visited Perú I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. Sure, it doesn't have the most advanced infrastructure, poverty shows at times, whatever, but the people, the history embedded on every wall and the nature you get to see is something else. One of the best destinations I've ever been to, I'd rather go to Cusco again than many european and asian hotspots, it's in the top 5 worldwide for me, easily, and I've been to dozens of countries. That's how awesome it is. Not necessarily because of mountainbiking, the place as a whole is something else.
So positive, I'd be far grumpier. Thanks for the warts and all honesty. The tails look amazing natural, 100% my kind of thing. Your guide cutting in-front of the truck... oof🤨
My bike and bike gear was lost with Frontier Airlines on arrival for Breck Epic 2018 six day stage race in Breckenridge CO. Yep. Very frustrating and stressful. Got bike rental and new gear reimbursed from Frontier. A couple days later my stuff arrived at the airport so returned the rental.
I’m so jealous that you are in Peru but not to go mountain biking but more because I want to go visit Hoja Nueva wildlife rehab program from the movie wildcat on Amazon prime video 😻😻. Nature and conservation are something close to my heart and exploring places in the world that try to make a difference to help the planet and the environment is on my bucket list!!😁
I started following your channel from Spain trip, international trips are so cool, all the different trails, people, food and culture. Hope you could explore India one day !!
Dude this video is awesome! I'm sorry you didn't get your bike on this video. Hopefully it comes soon and you're doing it right. All the best orders of food! Leche de tigre is one of my favorites! Hope you in the lady have a great time in my home country!!
Looks like some fun trails. But idk about riding on someone else’s bike. Apple AirTag in the bike bag is definitely the way to go 👍🏻 hope you get your bike back 😬
Sucks about the baggage situations :/ American Airlines lost our bags when I traveled to Spain last year. I was able to be reimbursed so definitely keep all your receipts. The process can be long though, we had to constantly badger customer service to move things a long. It can be done though!
I served my LDS mission in Brazil 🇧🇷 in that airport region of Guarulhos. So…. Good luck getting your stuff back especially a nice expensive bike. I never understood the toilet paper thing either. You would think their sewer systems would evolve over time.
Faaaaahhhhhhk!! Dude! I hit the "Like" button when you were talking about freakin' Butcher Box. Dammit! Ya got me through my stomach! hahahahaha!! the rest of the video was awesome, too.

I have waited 3 years for this!! So glad you are back out internationally. It’s always your best work!!
i love the way you make this videos like a mini documental, not just POV of the trails, keep it on, cheers from Bolivia.
Thanks dude!
What I love about Brian is, he never complains about the bikes he rides♡ 'unlike many youtuber, they say this and that..
Love to see Ryan enjoying that huge dessert ha!!!
I lived in peru for 2 years and honestly one of the coolest places. I loved it all and it is my second home for sure!
thank you amigo, Peru is very cool and great for riding around

It's wonderful to see humans helping humans. Glad you didn't have to miss a day of riding🙏.
Word 👍🏾 I bet the fine people of Peru 🇵🇪 don’t see themselves as “ Level 4 “ they’re just people trying to get through life 👍🏾

I did the same thing reversed a few years ago with Intrepid, probably the best trip I've ever done. Going back in May for mountain biking.
