r_ elentless01 Navy has PT requirement standard unlike Air force. All so people in spec ops like seals have to go through harsh training. We also have swim qualification.....
It’s so funny because I got 10 seconds into this and was like “That looks like our chow hall, and our sidewalks, and our barracks, that has to be Corry Station” 😂
I loved drill, but then again I spent my 4 years in high school on the JROTC Drill team, so drill was second nature to me. I just had to learn the Marine Corps style
Hey Navy, we got you covered all around and will always protect you........much love and respect to my corpmans and seabees........from an always faithful Marine
I’m going to miss the cadences I was an 11C Mortar Infantry in the Army and seeing this fills me with pride! The branches might act like we hate each other but in the end we are all brothers and sisters in arms and in battle!
Oh no I genuinely do miss it, then again I'm Navy and A school for us was WAY more lax for us then for our Green brothers and sisters lol. All they ever did was hangout at portside unless they felt like donnin chucks for a few hours. Fuck that, I can't blame them lol. Love the area though. Lots to do. Lot of good times.
I’m Navy and drill was my fav part of both camp and man I enjoy marine cadence and marching very smooth and the way they intertwine their commands with cadence is sweet.
As a Marine who once trained with the Navy at MOS school at NAS Memphis, we took special care to march and call cadence because we had to look good in front of the Navy. Our combined class of Sailors and Marines would march together often. I remember once being called on to do a cadence, which I would never volunteer to do, but I rose to the occasion because I didn't want us to look bad in front of Sailors. We Marines had to keep our image up! LOL
I loved Corry when I was there! Back when you could actually march with a cadence, I was there right when the pandemic hit, couldn't leave or march normally.
Yes, with their guns from 1886 the marines are unstoppable!!! I heard next year they're receiving the M1 Carbine. So modern. American navy not good, polish army is better
I am a Vietnam USMC combat vet, my favorite military person is another Marine; however a very, extremely close second is a Navy Corpsmen, God bless them, brave, in very tough times/situations giving their life often. In VN no women, I liked that sorry but I was raised to keep women sacred and safe. It was not a bad thing.
I'm always impressed of the deadly serious bearing of the Navy and Marines, and the mournful yet powerful cadence that the USMC has. I don't know much about the two, but those two are enough for me to know America is in good hands with some of the most disciplined men and women on this earth.
Fighting siblings…but don’t let any outsider mess with one. We got into it with a group of Marines in Yorktown, Va and we’re made to leave the bar. Came back the next night and some Army guys were giving a small group of the same Marines a hard time. There were 50 of us. Don’t screw around.
For some reason I was waiting to hear him call out to the rear, march and see all the navy still going straight. lol formal marine here love the navy they are our core man

Former Marine, 2111, 2002-2006...Glad to see the Navy being brought in. Interesting mix. Its all a brotherhood. "My Ass Rides in Navy Equipment, Sir." (MARINES)
Navy btw. Badass if you think about it you got what everyone in the world knows the US Marines marching with their deadliest taxi service in the world.
I went through Corry in 2002. As a Marine, we didn't have to march with the class, it was just myself and another Marine, but we would occasionally call cadence and march to class with them.
@@philipramsden4975 We had two marines in our class as well. We tried to include them in our formation, and we got almost to the second to last school house before a instructor came running out and yelled at us and told them to walk off the parade ground.
@@Vaioplayer88 That's weird. I don't miss the walk to the last schoolhouse though. We were on Charlie schedule though, and always got out early. Our instructor was a Marine, so that made my life pretty easy
They both were insaperable since the founding of the nation. You can say the Marine were the fighting force of the Navy in the ground. While the Navy were the backbone of the support of the Marine during Amphibious ops, provide Naval artillery support
Somehow, I started this video perfectly in time with 'Point of Know Return' by Kansas. Their feet were in time with the music while they were marching, like they were in time with a cadence.
As I remember, the navy was to be at the rear of the formation, remember getting my ass chewed on by a 1st sgt for having sailors intermixed in the formation, this was 1977 at Millington fo a "b" school. Have things changed since 1995 when I retired?
geedunk in the back of the bus! shit we never had that! wish we did. one thing tho-no matter what we did, mark time always got faster and faster. gawd it would fuck us up every time. why is that? jarheads and squids mixed it up pretty good here. BZ
Sure am glad I live in the US and that they’re on my side in a conflict Everyone in the video looks tough enough that they can easily do those same marches on top of your face if they want to.
That's because the Navy has a differentiated system with their formation. All the female sailors are in the front, males in the back. The male Marines are in the front and females are in the back.
Fact: do you know why they carry stuff on their left hand but not on their right hand? Because they would use their right hand to salute officers outdoor. And this applied every where.
. . . and this carries over into civilian life after your ETS. Most of the time I'll carry stuff in my left hand as a habit. . . that's been 50 years ago, too.
In formations like these, the cadence caller/formation leader (generally off to the right of the group, seperate from the group) are the ones that salute for the entire division. While in formation and marching, you don't salute.
Serious question... what are these people doing? 1:30 It sounds like they're marching, but it looks like they're walking back from 7-11, with their Slurpees and their Pringles. I guess I've just never seen that in 'the movies', and that's all I have, for reference.
Question to any marines or sailors out there: I've heard about the gentle ribbing that goes on between the navy and marines, but do yall like each other more than army/af, or do army and marines like each other more than the other two? Or nothing at all like any of that
I'm impressed with the Marine marching with the bag of chips. (Great commercial for Lay's. Betcha just can't eat one. Then battle buddy gets head blown off)
The Navy looked so much smaller than the Marines height wise until I saw that it was all women in the front.
Marines have reverse height lines compared to the Navy.

Ohhh the good ol days at Corry

Holy shit those Marines at the front are like giants to the Navy people
Thecoolicestar Gaming the navy is called sailors

Those two front ranks of Sailors are women

Todd Vlk Definitely not Airmen. They would be marching over at NAS. These are probably CT's and/or IT's.
