One thing that has incredibly enriched my craft is my On The Go Witchcraft Kit. It's a little bit like a travel altar but still different. It has quickly become an essential in my practice. So in this video I thought I'd share whats in this little bag of wonders.

On my way to crochet myself a cute little bag and make myself a witchcraft kit! Thank you for this idea!

Thank you for sharing your on the go kit. Another offering option would be crushed egg shells. Biodegradable with the added benefit of being a natural fertilizer.

Lol, for some reason it only just now occurred to me, after 40 years on this Earth, the sheer amount of ritual intentions that can be worked into the practice of crochet. I mean, every dip and tuck and swirl of every stitch could add to the power of a working. Then imagine if you designed your own stitch and pattern like you would a sigil. 🤯

I did something similar this past summer! It's primarily foraging-focused, but it's a small tote bag with reusable storage containers, ziplock-style bags, a small trowel, notebook and pencils/pens, garden gloves, a garbage-picking bag, and a few personal objects of significance. I almost always have a water bottle nearby, so water is my go-to offering for any plants I'm gathering.

For foraging offerings, I love carrying a mixture of dried coffee grounds and ground eggshells. It's a holdover from my childhood. My Great Grandma, whom I am convinced was an unrealized kitchen and garden witch, always saved her eggshells and coffee grounds to use in her rose garden. She also taught us that there were no such things as weeds, just flowers without a home yet! I also like to sing them a song to give them vibes and co2!

I have some insence cones, a flat stone for burning them, matches, a tealight, some basic crystals (could be a special offering too, but i also like giving some seeds or Dome of my hair as a offering when i harvest a piece of a plant), my travel set of pumkinseed-runes, tiny notebook, a little pendulum and three i ging coins in my travelaltar - it is a wooden box in book size - so i have a Mini Desk too 👍 waterbottle or tea is always with me, and a plasticbag (gefrierbeutel) with knife, glas containers (one for resin), and ✂️ too

I always struggle with what to have with me without carrying too much. This is super helpful. Thank you! 🌱🌿🌾

As a Norse pagan warlock you need to have your hair long for nature and connection your Natural self is best to connect with spirits

I just started putting one together inspired by yours! The difference is instead of a small rune set i have a small tarot deck cause I find that a bit easier for me (I’m a visual learner and tarot reading is what i vibe with). I also have a small notebook for sigils, observations, and a pen that doubles as something to write in that notebook with, as well as write on my wrist sigils (it’s a skin safe pen).

That is such a cute bag Bente, and your travel kit is amazing. It's quite similar to a Medicine Bag actually! Also, another great option for an offering is corn meal. Doesn't damage the environment, can feed animals, and gives nutrients to the plants around, usually if it's mill ground without too many additives specifically. Or if you grind your own. Some store bought brands add a lot of things to theirs. Another option is rice as well. I LOVE the bird food idea. If you ever find your oils leaking accidentally, as well, try turning them into a balm or salve. They travel just as well if not better sometimes and work just as potently. Plus sometimes the flat disk of a salve tin fits a little better into some spaces. Other times the oil bottles work way better. 😊 You definitely gave me some fantastic ideas for my own Medicine Bag though which I've been struggling with for a while so thank you!!!!!

I adore your travel altar ideas! As a crone (or close to it), I find most of these videos to be bland without much creativity but I love how all your ideas were well thought out. I often have travel altars for certain areas I'm visiting and you provide some new and interesting ideas. Thank you so much for sharing!

Excellent video. Great ideas I'm going to incorporate some of them.

  • @pattybreiland7015

Thank you for the video. I absolutely LOVE my magical practice tools (oils, crystals, fixed candles, divination tools, etc.) and thought this video to be very useful. With that said, I personally don't believe that my tools - as wonderful as they are - are absolutely necessary to practice magic. To be clear, I'm not referring to the tools that I use to harvest, store, or use for offerings, but rather the tools I use to protect, banish, divine, etc.). Realizing this has been an important step in my personal journey in developing an ability to rely solely on my intentions and my ability to use my mind powers. Still, I won't give up the tools if I don't have to because they really do assist me in creating the desired mood and getting my heart in the right place. Do you suppose this is another witchy hot take? :) Peace!

I have recently been building myself a small grab and go style witchcraft kit. Right now it is mainly a set of Amethyst elemental altar stones, a couple crystal skulls that i have been working with for years, and a pendulum. But this video has definitely given me some ideas on things to add to it. So thank you for that.

  • @EFergDindrane

I love this idea--I like the idea of having a separate bag for "real" foraging trips, so I'm not taking all that with me when I'm just running errands or wanting to take a worship hike. This way, I can take a small sample, as you say, and then return at a later date if I need to. I sometimes also pack a small bell, as a sound offering, but I like the idea of bird seed. I can't think of anything that would be harmed by that, since just a little won't choke out grass the way a lot of chaff can under a feeder. Thank you so much! And I'm going to try Aura, too... that emergency use for anxiety attacks sounds quite useful.
