The problem with Sharp is that they lack optical zoom! I hope the R8 will have at least a 3x optical zoom lens! Without that they can not compete with other flagship phones!!!
I have the Aquos R6 - I can tell you that having a 19mm field of view in the primary lens, really gives a nice "vlog -type" feel, without feeling like a smartphone, wide angle lens. It actually feels somewhat like the 16mm lens on a full frame!
For both video and photo I'd pick Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Photos and videos seemed to be great for me. I expected more from the Xperia Pro-I in terms of video, especially because it has two dedicated video shooting apps. Photo shooting with the Xperia was good even with zoomed-in shots. The Sharp Aquos R7 was okay in terms of photo (except for 5x zoom shots which were terrible), even though the HDR was a bit weak. I wouldn't get the Sharp Aquos R7 for video shooting, because I felt the video was somehow choppy - the framerate just didn't seem okay.
PRO-I on Video propably has dirty lens (and it was propably HDR mode). I have tested that smartphone (video on channel) and it has amazing video features and colors are realy clean. Guy who make video choose wrong settings.
How come Xperia looks worse than Aquos throughout in this 12:10 section? Is this for real? Also Japan seems some years behind China in phone department :/ What's happening with Japan? In the car department they have not created a brand that rivals BMW or Mercedes, luxury products are great boost to economy due to high profit margins.

But I see that the Sharp R7 SUCKS! - Incorrect, unnatural, terrible color rendition; - No 60 fps in 4K; - No optical stabilization; - No optical zoom; - No additional high-quality sensors for other shooting formats and focal lengths: wide-angle, telephoto, like competitors; - Weak front camera; - LIGHTS appear on the screen!!! - The 8th gen 1 processor is less successful in comparison with generations 2 and 3; - The high PWM level on the screen exceeds the comfortable norms of today; - There are no two physical SIM cards;
I have no idea why the video from the Pro-I looks like this, it shouldn't, if you watch any other review you'll see it has nothing to do with what's shown here, the Xperia is capable of producing some of the best mobile video out there (though it can get dark). This isn't representative of the Pro-I's quality, go figure. Something went horribly wrong in this one.

Me too they need a zoom ultrawide isn't as important for them I think 19mm is wide enough

Xperiaは本当にご飯を撮るのが上手い。
撮って出しの限界は限られるけど、全ての状況で安定した基礎描写能力があるのはXperia Pro-Iと感じた。
Xiaomi 12S Ultra は、Authenticモードで さらにAIをOFFにするとナチュラルな色になるみたいです。
R7 良くなったよなぁ…と思っていたのですが、こうやって比べていただくと「空」の色が違いすぎですねぇ…。やっぱ、まだ AQUOS なんですねぇ…。でも、かなり良くなったと思いました。
昼間の写真だとXperia Pro-IとAQUOS R7が良いかな
ただ、夜景になるとXiaomi 12S UltraとXperia Pro-Iだな〜
AQUOSの夜景はやはりまだまだといったところ

個人的に見ると、AQUOS R7の寒色寄りな色合いがバランス良く映し出せている印象🤔
ただ、所々白飛びがちょくちょく見られますね
一方、Xperia Pro-Iもバランス良く写し出せている感じでズーム撮影も中々良さげ
一方、Xiaomi 12S Ultraは写真より動画メインになる1台じゃないかなと
正直、どの端末も端末ごとの良さがあってスゴく良いです👍

It's the R7. I liked it during the day, but it was rather shyte at night. 12S Ultra was much better in low light.

静止画だとXperia PRO-Iの強さが際立つな。
ただ動画の画質ではXiaomiが良い。
Xperia PRO-Iの動画が酷いけどどのアプリを使ったのかやや気になるところ。
Xiaomiは動画の画質が良いだけにちょっと風切り音を拾い過ぎるのがやや残念。
静止画もXperia PRO-Iに次いで良いと思う作例が多かった。
後発のR7にはもう少し頑張って欲しかった。
時々良い感じに撮れてるものもあるんだけど他の2機種には明確に負けてる。
ここでの撮り較べはフルオートなのでフルオートしか使わない人ならXiaomiを選んでおけばとりあえず不満は少なそうに思える。

熱に関してですかね？ 技術力というよりも、低温やけどを怖がって、ストップする設定温度を低くしてる感じですね。取材とかした感触だと。
Xperia PRO-Iは専用の三脚につけると、手で触らなくなるので、もうちょっと熱の許容範囲が広くしてる設定になってますし。
12sUltraの背面カメラに使われてるCMOSは全てSONY製だから一概に日本の技術が劣ってる訳じゃないけど完成品としてスマートフォンを見るなら中華の方が何歩も先を行ってるというのが現実

12S Ultra は色が派手でコントラストも高い。R7は色はいいけど露出が明るすぎ。PRO-Iは色はいいけど解像感で12S Ultra に負ける。びっくりしたのは、PRO-Iの動画の画質の悪さ。なんでこんなことになっているの？
