Laughing that there are no picks in the recording studio.. I made a four guitar holding rack from some wood I have. Used rubber foam and soft fabric to protect the guitars. I put nice office chair wheels on it so it rolls around easily. It is very stable even with the wheels. Nice review, this rack looks great.
Looking forward to receiving mine! I found your video having placed my order. fwiw I'm buying since my robot vacuum manages to knock over the tripod stands and hopefully this format will scupper it. Not to mention the space saving. Close contender was Hercules and rockstand. Even though I play Warwick basses and rockstand seems like a good choice, I prefer K&M for my office just based on the look.
Did you get it yet? If so how is it? I just ordered mine after ordering a cheap rank from Amazon. I don't have super expensive guitars, but I still want any dye bleed. Just got a Gretsch with a great finish.
@@PLANETWATERMELON yes! It took a little while as it was sent from Germany. But now it is here I am impressed. I have filled it and all good. Even 2 basses are quite happy in there, including a 50s Hofner. Your Gretsch will be happy! This is definitely one of those products that is so good, there is little to say. Solid, looks good, guitars are safe and the robot vacuum can't knock it over !
Thanks for your review. Can I ask you for the dimensions? I don't mean the unfolded dimensions, I mean the dimensions with a guitar (say Strat or better Jazzmaster). I am building a system where I have my amps as well as (hopefully) guitars and the guitar stand is what I haven't figured out yet. If you'd be so kind and measure for me (with a guitar, not bass)... what would be the smallest box they would fit to? Cheers!
In my opinion, this is the best stand for any finish. It has no dyes, so there is nothing that can possibly transfer to the body of your instrument. All stands should be this way 👍
Now I wish I'd gotten something better. The Fender and ProLine ones kind of suck. The guitars can rotate on their axis and hit the guitar behind it and there's nothing to stop the guitars from banging into each other if you aren't super careful.
I have this stand and I can fit a flying v, explorer and Firebird. You just have to keep it a bit further away from the wall. I'm not sure about extra pointy guitars like a King v
@@EssexRecordingStudios omg thank you lmao that my whole things i just want a nice multi stand for both my kellys an ltd arrow and a warlock would this be okay for all those??
@@EssexRecordingStudios does it have any foam in there? Or is metal with silicone? The black part between the white silicone holders seems to be made of foam i dont know
I bought it on the UK Amazon site but I believe you can order of the Thomann website. They are the largest music gear retailer in Europe and based in Germany where this company is from. I think you can order direct from the company's website as well. Let them know you heard about them from us here on RUclips!
@@EssexRecordingStudios I'll screenshot it and email it to you for proof - the amount of shit I have successfully ordered and either returned or had refunded is about even. When I noticed that I stopped ordering. It's a crappy crap shoot at best.
Pretty nice video... then I pulled off my credit card to buy of of them... buuuut $300 for 1 stand of 5 guitars? Geeeeeeeeeeez... isn't a bit overpriced?

It'd be nice to see the rack filled with different style guitars.
I just received the Guardian 3. Excellent guitar stand.

my robot just pushes the tripod stands around the room... which is annoying...

Thanks for review! Would you recomend it also for natural oil finish (no clear top coat) basses? I mean, no problems with direct contact with wood.

I wish someone would make one like that for pointy guitars like star or Rhodes shaped Charvel or Jackson’s.
I hear you. I've got two Jackson Kellys on this stand and they fit ok

@@EssexRecordingStudios did you detect any smell or odor from this stand?
@@naegleriafowleri2230 Absolutely no smell or odor of any kind.

the tops need something that goes across and holds the guitar in. if it had that Id buy one. over 200 bucks for some of these is crazy.
I've had no issues with them 👍
Will a 2.5" thick Gretsch guitars with a Bigsby works with this rack?
Yes!
4:52 I was like, 'wtf?'
Think it could be disassembled down to fit 3 or 4?
Probably 👍
Can you fit a classic guitar? The space for a guitar looks narrow.
Thanks.
Should be fine. It widens out to accommodate acoustics
Thanks.
In the end I bought the model for both acoustic and electric. Thanks for the video 👍
I’ve always used individual guitar stands. I’ve been considering getting one of these. Do you think a rack is better than a individual guitar stand?
These are definitely more stable and harder to knock over
@@EssexRecordingStudios did you detect any smell from this konig meyer stand?

QUESTION:
Is it possible to comfortably rest a guitar with a V-body shape in this stand?
example: Alexi Ltd 200
Yes but the long wing will be resting on the ground
I heard they leave Marks on uncured wood such as Custom Les Paul ? have you experienced anything like that?
No experience at all with that
It's the main stand in our control room
I have pets, is there any retaining built in to secure the necks? I see a pet bumping the side and knocking a guitar out.
I dont see any provisions for large dogs bumping into it.
Is this only with nitro finishes ? or also with recent epiphones lespauls ?
I would say that pretty much any finish will absorb some black dye if you leave the guitar to sit on a stand or holder long enough unplayed
Acoustic fit?
Do the black dividers at bottom mess up Nitro guitars?
No issues at all
You know what parts I mean, right? The black dividers at the bottom of the rack ? This is a really great looking rack and you did a great video, demo.
Do you think it would hold a v shape guitar ?
No I have another stand for that...will do a video shortly!
Are they made of silicon.
Yeah feels like it. No dye to transfer into the finish of the guitar
Does this work for bass guitars?
You answered my question at the end of video. Thanks for a great presentation!! Just in time for Christmas ❤
Can this be ordered from the U.S.?
If so how much would it cost?

Yes for only $250 bucks or so. Yep.
Sounds like Dave Grohl likes this stand 😂
Any chance the top brackets flop and let a guitar fall?
They look really soft
No not at all. They've thought of everything with this one 👍
I got my nine slot guitar holder off wish for $29. The foam padding on it is, well... shitty. Got to get some pool noodles from the dollar store. Ha!
Oh no! The dreaded Wish!
