Edit: I tried 2 different stains - 1 was an old blood stain (cats... what can you do?) and one was an old hairball (read: vomit) stain. The blood didn't come out, although the are around it where I scrubbed looked fabulous. The old vomit... no problem! The rug it was on was pure white, and in the end, it was once again pure white! I was so impressed. I don't blame it for not getting the blood out, I honestly don't think anything can get that out of my couch. But I was really shocked that it got out such an old vomit stain. Two thumbs up from me!
Peroxide, 3 tablespoons amonia and water, saturate, cover with plastic wrap and let set for four hours. Dab it’s a damp cloth. A carpet cleaner once told me for blood, wet the area and sprinkle on (adolphs)meat tenderizer. It’s supposed to break down the proteins in blood, or something like that.
No matter how I clean up a pet stain, I always soak up the surface with paper towels first. That way I'm not just spreading the liquid stuff around. I just got this machine and I haven't used it yet. But I will soak up the stuff first. If its a lot I will scrape it up with a metal dust pan and then use the paper towels and then the machine.
Just used mine this morning. I find it better if you go slower with it and use your other hand to push down on the front of the cleaner to get full suction

It’s suppose to have a 15min run time when fully charged, but since u used it right out of the box without charging I guess it didn’t last that long. I don’t know if I like this to be honest. The only thing I like about it is that u can take it all apart and give it a thorough cleaning.
I found one on the curve looks like it's been pretty good shape but it's missing that little plastic that goes on the front there I wonder if I can get parts for it another thing I was wondering how many volts is the battery charger
Teri Jo we just watch her closely. It usually lasts 2-3 days and she's back to normal until the next time she gets a hold of something she shouldn't. She'll never learn, poor thing.
Does it operate while plugged into the wall/charging? I had an older model where the battery drained during storage so you would have to wait for it to charge over an hour before you could address a new spill/stain. I'd rather these things just be corded so you could take care of a spill/stain immediately.
I think the videos are very good and easy to follow. The only thing I notice, is that I have the same exact carpet (the same colo too) which is all the videos. It is stain resistant and made especially for to resist pet stains and red wine. The carpet is really stain resistant! However, I'm going to try this new carpet cleaner on another carpet with pet stains and see how it works.
I bought this a couple months ago and I'd say it's a 3 out of 5. It sucks up water really well, but it also leaks absolutely everywhere. And recently it just stopped working! Wish I hadn't lost the receipt. :(

I am impressed. I bought the Bissel Pet Stain Eraser about three years ago. It worked fabulously but about a year ago, It leaked the formula and no matter what we did to attempt to fix it, nothing worked. I hope you will not have the same sad experience.
Has Ruby been to a Vet - she should be on a Special Diet for Dogs with Sensitive Tummy’s - Vets sell it…..whatever is wrong with her is shortening her life & she would be in pain. I have a male pure bred desexed Chi (owner Shows her Chi’s) - he has an enormous appetite - I have to watch his waistline. He has no health problems.I feed him Royal Canin Kibble specifically fir Chihuahua Breed & the Occasional RC wet food Sachets.
i have one and I'm not happy. I've used it less than ten times and the sprayer line is totally clogged. I only ever used the cleaning solution from bissell. I've been jamming things in the cleaner line trying to unclog some mysterious clogging substance. when I pull the trigger solution sorta of just seeps out the area around the outlet dripping sloppily all over the place. not a particularly impressive function.
Michelle Ramirez as with all stains, it's better to get to them when they're fresh. This does help to make old stains less visible though; if not completely removing them.
LoL Yah that soultion is like a mix of 1oz soultion to 10oz of water.. That was for like 20 tanks. Im saying like cause I have Bissell products and he might be right in using that much.

No it wont work. I tried it and it don't have enough power to pull the water back out of the seats. Even at the right angle it barely pulls any. Better off using a scotch bright and a shop vac
It's a wet vac, so it is meant for sucking up liquid. You could use it to clean up water spills and the like without using the cleaning solution in theory.
Lauren mine has never leaked the dirty water out of the back, however it has had many other issues. The cleaning solution kept leaking from the tank (expensive waste of solution) and now the suction has gotten weak. When these are running properly they do an amazing job but they always seem to break sooner or later. Mostly sooner. If you get one I highly recommend getting an extended warranty.
Jermaine Jones it works great on floor mats. The car floor isn't usually flat so it's a little tougher, but it'll work pretty well because it's fairly small.
I just bought one of these as my dog, Maltese poodle cross, is 11 and has started to have some accidents. I also had a long haired chihuahua, but she just passed away. She was the sweetest dog too just like your Ruby. They are soooo soft!!! I miss my Gracie. Hope Ruby doesn't get sick too often poor thing! I hope this works well. The Helpful Assistant I'm sorry to hear about your Gracie. Chihuahuas really are great dogs; so sweet and love their families. As for the Pet Stain Eraser, I now have mixed reviews for it. The good: it really does pick stains up like they were never there. The bad: The tank that you pour the solution into tends to leak (I'm on my second one now, and both have leaked). When it leaks, it drains the entire tank so you not only have a big wet mess of solution on the floor, but you've just lost a whole bottle of (not cheap) solution. To rememdy this, we have stopped filling the Pet Stain Eraser with solution. Instead we use a spray bottle to spray the stain, then use the Pet Stain Eraser to vacuum it all up. This works pretty well, although I like the way the Pet Stain Eraser shoots the solution onto the floor better than a plain old spray bottle. Overall, I would still recommend this product.

Bellyflops2 as you can imagine, it'll get pretty stinky unless you clean the dirty water tank after usage. It's a matter of popping it off and getting the old stuff out and running some soapy water through it. The brush and front suction intake need to be cleaned as well, using the same method. It's the least fun part of using this product, but it's not difficult.
I bought this for my granddaughter and we tried it right out of the box and it came on, but she now tells me that it is still charged, but when she pushed to button, it will not come on....she thinks the button is not working.....she was going to take it back to store.....not at her house, so thought I would ask
If all the lights are lit up next to the power button, then it should be fully charged. If it doesn't turn on at that point, then I would try contacting customer support to get a replacement sent out.

Yes, you are grinding in the stain. I have owned multiple Bissell Spotlifters. Here are the steps to follow for all stains to get the best and fastest stain removal. 1. If it is a chunky stain suck as Ruby's, pick up the chunks with TP and flush 2. Using the vacuum part of the Spotlifter, vacuum up all of the liquid part of the stain. 3. Then spray the stain heavily with solution and vacuum up the liquid and remaining stain. 4. If the stain is still there, spray again heavily and wait for about 10 minutes and vacuum again. I have not found the brushes to be necessary or helpful. They just spread the stain around. Yes, it can be used on upholstery! It can also be used to suck up water, coffee, urine, or any liquid from tile floors which saves on using paper towels or rags. Just suck up the liquid, then spray the solution and suck it up again. Empty out the dirty water holding tank and you're done. I also used mine for when my shower curtain came away from walk in shower and water spilled out. I had to empty the tank four times, but it was fast and easy, and again, I did not have to use paper towels or rags that would need to be washed.
It’s to much work and time spent to clean such a small area, now I like the cross wave which would destroy that stain in a short amount of time. But thanks for the excellent demonstration 👍
Chozen7 you're welcome! Keep in mind that this was bright red, mostly blood mixed with gross stool on a beige carpet. Also, this is an old carpet with no stain shielding. I'm glad the video was helpful in making your decision though. :)

The product looks interesting but I was wondering what your dog diet consists of because we are currently going through trial and error with our vet trying to find something that works for him. Great video,, awful example. But it was needed. I have a 300 dollar carpet cleaner. And after the Carpet cleaner is applied, with brushes rotating,... ,than you use water to Rinse the area and suck up both solutions. I saw some comments about rinsing the area, if you want to. Just empty the Cleaning solution into a proper container, keep it, and put water into the unit and rinse away. I don't think it can hurt unless you over saturate the area. Vacuum may not be that powerful to work in a full saturated rug. But the Vac pressure I got,,, was very comparable to my big heavy unit. I am just using it for my car interior, so we will see how it works on angles.

It's not, particularly 😒I have a sectional that I bought it for and it doesn't do a good job of getting suction on a surface that's less hard than a floor.
You put too much cleaning liquid into the cleaning holder. The cleaning container has written on it how much water which is 3/4 water and a quarter cleaning liquid. My dog did two large liquid poos on my carpet, his a 70 kilo dog. I first scooped up the poo with two pieces of cardboard then poured bicarbonate soda over the rest of the poo and it absorbed the rest of the poo also got rid of the smell. Rub it with a moist cloth and dry cloth then vacuumed it over. Sometimes you need to rub it the next day with a wet cloth.
I was going to buy but after learning the brush don’t move its you doing the scrubbing 😩I think I’ll stick with a regular carpet that I only have to push😁
I think you should stop worrying about the poop , and take the poor little doggy to the Vet. And see why is there blood in her stool ?? That's not just a normal thing.! She didn't to well , she might be having kidney issues or something. Just saying . Hope she didn't eat anything toxic to her, oh yeah and the Bissel worked out great thanks for the video.
So frustrating, right?! We wasted so many bottles of cleaning solution that we stopped putting it into the Pet Stain Eraser and now put it in a spray bottle. The vacuum portion still works great that way.
You could do like I do and use a separate spray bottle to spray it, then use the vacuum to pick it up. These definitely have spray issues in the long run.

Try Hydrogen Peroxide for the blood. When I used to work as a nurse, it always worked. It's best to use ASAP though.

Unfortunately I did. I now use a spray bottle for the cleaning solution. The dirty water hasn't leaked yet. It's not a perfect solution, but it works.
I find it's over filling the tank , I underfill it and it stopped the leaking

sensei22, it would be worth a try. I think it would help if there is dust that you can't get by vacuuming alone. The wetness might help to pull it up.

3. Then spray the stain heavily with solution and vacuum up the liquid and remaining stain.
4. If the stain is still there, spray again heavily and wait for about 10 minutes and vacuum again. I have not found the brushes to be necessary or helpful. They just spread the stain around.

It can also be used to suck up water, coffee, urine, or any liquid from tile floors which saves on using paper towels or rags. Just suck up the liquid, then spray the solution and suck it up again. Empty out the dirty water holding tank and you're done.
I also used mine for when my shower curtain came away from walk in shower and water spilled out. I had to empty the tank four times, but it was fast and easy, and again, I did not have to use paper towels or rags that would need to be washed.

Chozen7 you're welcome! Keep in mind that this was bright red, mostly blood mixed with gross stool on a beige carpet. Also, this is an old carpet with no stain shielding. I'm glad the video was helpful in making your decision though. :)

Hey Nabeel. I found this video because I have a Mastiff that has similar belly issues to your dog Ruby. The product looks interesting but I was wondering what your dog diet consists of because we are currently going through trial and error with our vet trying to find something that works for him. Great video,, awful example. But it was needed. I have a 300 dollar carpet cleaner. And after the Carpet cleaner is applied, with brushes rotating,... ,than you use water to Rinse the area and suck up both solutions. I saw some comments about rinsing the area, if you want to. Just empty the Cleaning solution into a proper container, keep it, and put water into the unit and rinse away. I don't think it can hurt unless you over saturate the area. Vacuum may not be that powerful to work in a full saturated rug. But the Vac pressure I got,,, was very comparable to my big heavy unit. I am just using it for my car interior, so we will see how it works on angles.

Yes. They say it's good for spot cleaning upholstery.
It's not, particularly 😒I have a sectional that I bought it for and it doesn't do a good job of getting suction on a surface that's less hard than a floor.
You put too much cleaning liquid into the cleaning holder. The cleaning container has written on it how much water which is 3/4 water and a quarter cleaning liquid. My dog did two large liquid poos on my carpet, his a 70 kilo dog. I first scooped up the poo with two pieces of cardboard then poured bicarbonate soda over the rest of the poo and it absorbed the rest of the poo also got rid of the smell. Rub it with a moist cloth and dry cloth then vacuumed it over. Sometimes you need to rub it the next day with a wet cloth.

I think you should stop worrying about the poop , and take the poor little doggy to the Vet. And see why is there blood in her stool ?? That's not just a normal thing.! She didn't to well , she might be having kidney issues or something. Just saying . Hope she didn't eat anything toxic to her, oh yeah and the Bissel worked out great thanks for the video.

So frustrating, right?! We wasted so many bottles of cleaning solution that we stopped putting it into the Pet Stain Eraser and now put it in a spray bottle. The vacuum portion still works great that way.

You could do like I do and use a separate spray bottle to spray it, then use the vacuum to pick it up. These definitely have spray issues in the long run.
