Since the making of this video, Portkeys has updated their interface... I am shooting Lumix S5ii and am unable to access anything! The only thing I can do is roll the camera, it wont even cut. I am very aggravated, the only reason I bought this was to be able to adjust focus on monitor,

14:00 The GH6 can be powered via USB-C indefinitely, but for some reason, you do need the battery in there. I've run it for 8 hours at a time over usb-c and never had any issues. But yeah, for whatever reason, a battery must also be in there.

Was wondering if it works with Lumix S5 IIX? Read some comments and it said if you are already using the USB-C port then you can't use the focus feature. So basically if you use a gimbal that needs that wire slot, it is only a external monitor?

I've used this monitor with the S5 IIX and an older firmware and it works, however I was told the newest firmware has issues. And yes, you are correct, you need the USB-C port on the S5 IIX in order to control the camera with the monitor. That is the ONLY way. So if the USB-C port on the camera is already being used, then this monitor will not be worth it for you.

Hi friend, could you upgrade the firmware of LH5PII. There are a bit changes in the control page.

Question. I film in 5.8 K with my panaonic s5 IIX, to do that i need to have a external SSD to be connected to the camera's USB-C port. How does that work with this monitor?

Unfortunately, it won't. If the USB port on the camera is used by something else, you can't use the LH5P II's USB connection. The monitor still works like a normal HDMI monitor would, but you won't have the USB control.

When I check the mointor purchase page online, it let me choose which brand I am using. It let me choose different brand. For panasonic, for sony, for canon, etc. Does that matter at end which brand camera I am using? If I purchase the model for Panasonic, what will hapoen if I connect it to Sony camera? Very confusing.

There is only one model for all those cameras. There is a menu option that allows you to select which camera you are using.

I’m not sure if I missed it - can you playback on this monitor. I’m using an fx3 I can’t figure it out!

I know GH6 USB power option always requires a battery. With a PD power bank it still drains a bit of the actual battery....slowly but surely.

If your powerbank is offering 9V 3A there will be no drain, it can even charge if your battery is not full.

theres definitely some latency happening....same shit happens with my S1H and Atomos Ninja V, it makes using them together, simply not possible

Maybe try turning MF on the lens and body and try focusing again?

Lumix s5 has an issue with some monitors that 4k 50/60p does not display proper colors, in that mode it looks like false color blue or purple colors. I had this issue with smallhd action 5 and I've heard desview r6 has the same. Only with lumix s5, on other cameras they works good. Does this one work with lumix s5 mark 1 at 4k 50/60? and allows to record to camera's memory card?

Hi friend, LH5PII can work with lumix s5 mark 1 at 4k 50/60 if you set the HDMI output resolution and HDMI resolution of the camera to 1080P. But about color, I am sorry that I haven't received the feedback like this.
