Even though Gadar's box office collection was almost double of its competitor,Lagan got the Oscar nomination..So both of them are WINNER & extremely professional and secure artists.
Sunny hinzda movies from previous 26 years are all flop /disaster except gadar and border that too bcoz of deshbhakti movies not him 😂and sunny hinzda fans making their own happiness I don't like Amir Khan but atleast I agree that Amir Khan is talented 😊

I remember Dil vs. Ghayal clash..I was in school in a small town... those days.. we mostly watch films on VCRs... same day Video Cassettes of films were releasing and Films in theatre. But in small towns Films came to theatre almost after 1 and half year... I remember watching Dil and Ghayal in video hall.. what a time... every movie lover were discussing about these two movies... Songs of Dil were very popular those days... before release of the films.
I wonder why doesn't anybody talk about 3 Bhagat Singh biopics releasing on the same day in 2002?

Needless to say, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (KKHH) created quite a buzz. Back then, to catch a screening, you had to head to the theater and buy tickets. KKHH was constantly sold out, with black market ticket rates soaring. Consequently, many people, especially youngsters, found themselves at the theater without tickets and ended up watching Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (BMCM). Ironically, BMCM was already a well-received movie (it attained cult status) because of the scarcity of KKHH tickets. Positive word-of-mouth and Govinda's onscreen charisma contributed to its success. A similar scenario unfolded with Gadar, which outshined Lagaan due to its appeal to a broader audience across both urban and rural areas, drawn to its heroic narrative.
For instance, I recall visiting a small town in MP in March of 1994. Baazigar (released in Nov 1993) was a massive hit, but when I inquired about the current movie playing in the town's sole theater, I discovered that Dalaal, starring Mithun (released in Oct 1993), had been running to packed houses for the past few months. This appeal to heroism is significant, contributing to the success of Gadar 2. As cinema lovers, it's gratifying to witness such widespread appreciation for these films.

Bajirao Mastani was a bigger hit, Dilwale barely broke even. If you are talking about clashes, you should only talk about India net collection rather than worldwide gross. There is no clash in overseas because there is no fight for screens and better properties, Indian films are released in minimum screens anyway.

KAABIL didn’t get enough screens after Raaes postponed to its date. It deserved more. And again there is a clear bias here in the video instead of being objective, shading Salaar intentionally when the movie got lesser screens than Dunki and had A certificate but still minted 700crs. Both Kaabil and Salaar had to fight to get screens in national chains but FC being its @sshole self, s8cksing up to its bias 😒
