These guys are surfing waves that can't be caught by paddlin' out. Being towed in is a cheat, but that's the only way to catch these deep water waves that hit a steep ledge and pitch. It takes massive cahones to pull this off, 'cause if the lip hits you and knocks unconscious, or you are tumbled underwater beyond your lung capacity, you die.
I totally agree...When I lived in Ft Lauderdale I made a sign for the back of my truck that said " HONK HORN IF YOU LIKE BEACH BOYS''...boy (pun Intended) I got lots of Honks...Once I was in a Parking Lot and a Gril left me a note saying ty for your Beach Boy sign...Fun...Tons of Fun and another time I was driving at the beach and 3 college boys started shouting HONK HONK HONK and btw I've seen the Beach Boys 4 Times...
One time long ago when my sister and I was building a amusement named Bumbly Beach in roller coaster tycoon and this beach boys song played along on the radio! I wonder if that ever counts?

Months after the surfing event, Guinness World Records announced the 68-foot wave Gabeira surfed was the largest on record for a woman.
So I started to learn how to surf this year, i live a mile from Lake Michigan. I thought it was rough with the 5 foot waves on the beach. I can't imagine how it is there with that wave. Geese o petes
