    I ordered a eibach pro kit for my Volkswagen Arteon 2022. Should I trim my bum stops? I didn't have any guidance or instructions.

    I have this problem with a Bilstein B12 pro kit on a BMW Z4M. You would think as a kit the shock bump stop would be trimmed to work with the supplied Eibach spring which lowers 20mm at the front. Bottoms out really easily and makes me wince.

    I bought the sport line kit for my 22 mustang gt. I used the factory bump stops and not the ones that came in the kit. Any issues I might run into?

      No, you would swap out the rear bump stop with the one provided and reuse the OE front one.

    QUESTION: Would not trimming the rear bump stop cause a clunking noise? im experiencing clunking noise when hitting bumps in the road and on the highway when going over small dips. I’ve checked every nut and bolt but I can’t seems to find what’s the problem. (Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs) I have a 2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack.

    More shock travel with trimmed bump stops is obvious. However; what effect does it have on the stock shock longevity?
    Removing 1" from the bump stop, would cause the shock to compress further than with untrimmed bump stops, putting more stress/pressure on the shock.

    • @EibachUSA
      @EibachUSA  2 года назад +1

      Hello, trimming the bump stop won’t have an effect on shock longevity. The bump stop acts like a progressive rate, once you hit it you add rate and gives you bottoming resistance so you the transition isn’t so harsh when you reach the end of your travel.

    Could this actually be the problem on my Porsche 996 C2??? I’m literally about to swap to HR’s to try and solve the high ride height vs the drop in the rears… I am literally driving a boat. In the instructions it states no modifications required but on many forums, folks are stating the same issue… please advise as it will keep me a customer if this solves the issue… thanks!

      I have the same, my rear suspension is almost inactive and totally feels like a boat now. Didn't used to be that way. I thought maybe I'd blown the rear shocks by overloading but when I examined them they looked ok. About to go back to OEM sport springs on the rear I think!
