The Selmer Axos is 4300 while the 62III is 3999.99 and the 62III has setup issues. The TWO1 plays perfectly out of the box but they’re boring horns tonally. The Selmer has a complex tone that gets even better with an updated neck. If you want an entry level horn and you have a limited budget get a used YTS-62 Purple logo or MK1. I really question if this guy even knows what’s he’s talking about with his comment about the engraving not etching. The feel he’s whining about is because the engraving was cut into the lacquer. Yamaha and Yanagisawa lacquer over their engraving which makes it look less clean and crisp. Selmer Paris is making great horns especially the Supreme series is the best horns on the planet hands down. If you aren’t a serious pro get yourself a used 62 and it’ll meet your needs wonderfully.
By the way the STS-711 is dropping in price because it’s a garbage saxophone.
I understand that the Axos alto is essentially Series II body with series III neck.
Is the body or neck of the tenor version based on series II or III?
Goodnight l think you gave an honest review of the instrument. Many players have stated that they think Selmers are overratedand overpriced. I do agree . Players have also said they wouldn'tbuy a saxophonewithout the highF sharp key. I usually add by saying l wouldn't buy an instrumentwithout adjustment screws. Keep up your good work.

Selmers are not as in tune as Yanagisawa . Find an old Beuscher Aristocrat for a really "in tune" saxophone
