Rob I'm such a fan of yours, watch every video, and more times than not I see you on your knees on that cement floor, and unless your getting younger, the weeks and months will whiz by , and on the knees crap isn't going to cut it. Being the great fabricator that you are why don't you build a work cart on casters . Save those knees you're probably already feeling discomfort from crawling around on that damn cement floor. I want you around a little longer so I can watch, learn and enjoy, this is not meant to piss you off, besides you've already probably thought of it.
Man, I know you are younger than me, but you are making my knees hurt!! ;) Get you a couple saw horses and a piece of plywood, like I did, and make you a temp work table!! ;)
That stud your going to install from the inside, and weld.....next time your at the hardware store look at elevator bolts. They have a flat disc head thats meant to clear things, and the disc gives a good area to weld.
That vent that looks rusted I'm wondering if you sand blast the vent I'm wondering if there is a product that would fill in the valleys. Anyway just an idea only
Maybe you could remove the weld on that assembly and then heat 🥵 that part up and use a piece of pipe to strengthen that up and then use your welder on it again.
I wonder if it’s a converted clutch/brake quadrant? I’ve got a clutch/brake in my 57 Bel Air that I need to swap or convert to a brake only system since I’m running an automatic…. I have no idea if they’re the same as 55 - but if your cousin has one to swap, let me know.. I’m not above converting it if I need to.
Cool video Man. I'm getting ready to install all this on my convertible. Looks like I'll have to take the brake pedal back out. Later 👍
So much hackery, thank goodness you are touching every part of this car and making it right. Thanks for the detailed update Rob!

Is that a plastic bushing that came out of the brake assembly. You you would of think they would use a brass bushing.
