The USA and China would never go to war because they have so much family members over here in the US and i grew up with many Chinese people who are my friends so I just don't see The US going to war with them it would be a long shot.

One thing to do is not take the old Nimitz aircraft carriers and decommission them I would refurbish them for another 20 years takes too long to build them and only a couple years to refuel them they may be old but they're still usable

This is true but we aren't talking about conventional weapons today. The U.S. has the most experienced blue water navy in the world. Its carrier groups cam be out at sea for months without refueling. China can't. China also hasn't perfected logistics while at sea during patrol. It's navy must stop at ports for weeks for resupply. China can defensively give a U.S. a show but un the end The U.S. navy would still dominate.

Actually, at 100,000 tons the USS Gerald R. Ford is 25% larger than the Chinese ship which weighs 80,000 tons... rather than the stated 20% in the video. The Ford is 20,000 tons larger; 20,000 is 25% of 80,000.
On the other hand, the Chinese at 80,000 tons is 20% SMALLER than the Ford at 100,000. The weight of 20,000 less for the Chinese ship is 20% of the stated 100,000 tons weight of the USS Gerald R. Ford.

My wife is Chinese and my daughter. We go to China every year. She will even tell you China is 20 years behind the US. China can't even keep the two aircraft carrier they have now from being toward in. Plus they are having problem taking off and landing jets in the ports. So at sea is even worse. Yes China has no war experience with carriers but then the US too has sailors that have not fought any battle against enemy carriers as well. Admitted that US carriers have their past records of battle; but that said China is only marginally disadvantaged and as they go forward, they will narrow their differences, Chinese people are fast to learn and catch up. Our PLA does not fear the Americans, proven by our war in alliance with the DPRK in 1950, when China has only small arms against the might of the American led UN alliance.
