I had a red 1986 Fiero with 2.8 litre and 4 speed manual for 14 years. We took it on 3-week touring holiday in 1997. My wife was constantly buying clothes and as we ran out of room in car, she mailed boxes of clothes home. In the last week of the trip, I had clothes missing and assumed I had left them in hotels...turns out my wife was mailing my old clothes home because she didn't want to risk the mail losing her new clothes. Ha ha. We drive his and hers Audi A4 Quattros now...but loved that little red car.

The headlight motors. 25 years ago, GM wanted 250 dollars each for the Fiero headlight motors but only 150 dollars for Firebird headlight motors. The only difference is the left motor on a Firebird fits the right side on a Fiero. My left motor went and I bought a right for a Firebird and confirm it worked. Yet another reason to hate GM.

If memory serves me correct, there was fire insulation over wires on the front side of the 2.8 V6 engine as well as better heat shield around the cat.
Now “Fiero Firebird Corvette Headlight Motor Repair” on YT, has the repair cost down to $10.00 or less. I love how GM creates a pattern failure and just keeps on using the same design! 😂

Those collapseable camping toilets are great - except that you have to be very careful when you tilt to wipe yourself… they tend to come unhooked and partially collapse so I just learned to wipe standing up 🤪
And if the whole thing collapses while you are sitting on it you will get to answer the question of whether or not you really can put the toothpaste back in the tube or not. 😮

About 15 years ago when I was doing a lot of military surplus buying and eBay selling, I had a repeat customer whose business was modifying Fieros. What he bought from me were bunches of the fuel filler pipes intended for the Abrams main battle tank. They're made of type 321 SS, which is a type of stainless which is "titanium modified". Apparently they were the right diameter to make custom exhaust pipes for his modification. Or maybe for the stock Fiero, I never learned the details. Let me know if you want me to measure and describe the pipe for you. My contact info is on my channel, despite the fact that I don't post videos. I remember when the Fiero first arrived at Pontiac showrooms. My boss took a few of us to lunch, then dragged us to a Pontiac dealer to check it out.
are the suction cups on your window shades reversible I would put the black side out in the winter and the silver side out in the summer although it may not matter I have seen some insulation that is thinner than your shades that they use in a foundry they put it over containers of molten metal 2500 degrees and you can put your hand on the top and not get burned
