The ancient path sees to it that every child fits into a community and knows their bloodline.
Accountability is key. yes slavery had some damaging effects overall and some of those still manifest themselves in present day but we need to reach a point of maturity and accountability, where we decide to the right things and stick to the right path and work hard at becoming better individuals, families and communities. Adulthood is about taking up accountability even when you emerge from a very painful past. Slavery happened....But we cant always use it as an excuse as to why we are still disfunctional coz if we continue on that path, even a thousand years from now so called Black people will always be associating their demise or disfunctionality to slavery. When are we gonna start becoming accountable as modern day so called Black Men to value our lives, improve our self worth and try to Break the shackles and brainwashing of past traumas?
I overstand your reasons Brethren. However we can’t keep speaking of slavery as a thing of the past. Marriage is God given. It is strictly when a man and a woman, two flesh become one. "Premarital sex" does not exist. One cannot have a child without being married. Having multiple wives and leaving some behind is adultery. Being married is not the same as a wedding either. A wedding is simply a public event to celebrate marriage. One of the biggest reasons for family is so that the children can always be surrounded with the very Love that creates them to begin with. Over time it should be strengthening and this serves as a living testimony of the True power of Love. Depriving children of this is absolutely detrimental to their overall well being. When people wonder how some can be so cold and heartless, issues such as this can play a much larger role than many would give credit.
