this is Urdu Translation by Sufi Tabassum of a persian ghazal of Amir Khusro and included in the book 'دو گونہ" 'do goona' which contains 100 poetic translations of Amir Khusro.
Thank you, this is very helpful to know. As tarnicles wrote in a comment above, the book is fully accessible online at www.rekhta.org/ebooks/do-guna-ebooks .
Jayantshaq is right about there being something wrong with the first line of the second couplet. The word is "ghark-e-khum", meaning pitcher with which the saqi doles out the sharab into the paimanas. Although the sense is fine, the metre is wrong. the metre is "la haul wila qoowat, la haul wila qoowat'. I would suggest the line to read " Wo ashq bahe gham meiN, jaaN ghark hui khum meiN, Labrez hua aakhir yuN umr ka paimaana".
Thank you Vinod ji for your comment, which I saw just now. I agree with your very good point about the metre. I do have a doubt about the word "khum". I believe that the singer sings it as "khuuN", not "khum". Moreover, page 182 of this book, www.rekhta.org/Ebooks/do-guna-ameer-khusro-ki-sau-ghazlon-ka-urdu-manzoom-tarjuma-ameer-khusrau-ebooks , also shows the word to be "khuun". This word would still work in your suggested line (as "jaaN ghark huii khuuN mein") in terms of the metre, although it would not rhyme so well with "wo ashq bahe gham mein". Thank you again, and I hope you have been well in these six years, especially recently.
Wonderful! If anyone sees this and knows the exact lyrics, please do post them here. I have been unable to find them on the net. From what I can make out, they are as follows: chhaaii hai mere dil par wo narghis-e-mastaanaa har harf hai sarmastii har baat hai rindaanaa wo ashq bahe gham men ye jaan huii ghark-e-Khuun (_not sure about this line_) labrez hua aaKhir yuun umra kaa paimaanaa aa Daal mere dil men zulfon ke ye pech-o-Kham aashuftaasaron kaa hai aabaad siyaahKhaanaa wallaah qashish kyaa thii mastii bharii aankhon kii ye raah chalaa Khusro rindaanaa-o-mastaanaa
Jayantshaq Sahib, the Farsi original reads پُر شد ز سرشک خون , جانم ز غمت آری so the line has been correctly translated into Urdu as gharq-e khoon. The Urdu translation and the Farsi original can both be accessed here on rekhta.com : www.rekhta.org/ebooks/do-guna-ebooks ( pages 181-182)
other translations include 'aaj ye kaun sa mehmaan aaya'.. 'ye rungeeni e nau bahar' ... 'mohabbat mein koi hum dam nahi hay'... ' mera dushman huwa dil'
If you can suffer it, my translation: Each word intoxicates, all talk is spirited; My heart is overpowered by that divine narcissus blossom; Those tears flowed in agony, this life became a pitcher of ecstacy; Thus, overflowed the goblet of time; Come, pour over my soul from the pitcher knotted of your tresses; Teeming, full is this dark longing of my distracted mind; Oh lord! the enchantment of those daring, playful, mischievous eyes! Khusro roams, inebriated, lost to himself

Is it really written by Amir Khusrau? It doesn't sound like his other works. The dialect seems very different.
Urdu translation of the original persian poem by Khusro
Urdu translation by Sufi Tabassum..
Kya baat hai Ameer Khusro ki...
Ashiq Ka Saronkha hai abad siakhana , what does Saronkha n siakhana mean? Please
Ashufta sur is dewana. Someone who has lost mind. Siyakhana might be a wrong pronunciation.
Be asar....
liked the Sarangi better than the vocals
