me, writing this desc on 3 hours sleep: FINALLY
welcome to the 'my dark lord of an ex binded me with his former boss' crown and now we can't stop skype calling each other' mind palace shenanigans au. if its one thing i love it's mind palace & dream illusions. so here we have it. and yes, i used the scruffy!halbrand look as i have a feeling that'll be the direction for next season re: rings for kings (maybe some throwback blondie as a treat).
immensely inspired by the MANY meta posts - including a few from the showrunners - re: sauron using the crown the way he did. followed by his voice in her head. i can't wait to s3 for him to be saying "you shut the door and i busted a window" tbh

I can't believe I've seen the log scene sooo many times and yet: 1:47, I just realized that after Halbrand and Galadriel look at each other and hold their gaze, as soon as she averts her eyes, he looks past her. Then he tries to catch her gaze 2 other times as he's leaving. Just a small detail, as though he's absorbing the moment.
@@mberube222 yesss! im obsessed with that entire scene - especially how he tries to catch her eye the entire time he gets up and leaves. really hit home that things changed drastically between them; she cant look him in the eye and his eyes continuously seek hers out SO GOOD

Amazing!!! BUT so you're telling me Galadriel was stabbed with Morgoth's crown, one of the most powerful magic items in existence, that had Sauron's blood on it AND "only blood can bind" is an actual quote from season 2 ??? If the writers don't do anything with this they're crazy
kjsdfkj tbh i feel they will!! especially as he spoke directly into her mind after the fact (tbh the blood can bind is from s1!) and there is a sneaky reference to it from the showrunner when he's mentions sauron not wanting to k!ll gal in their fight. but while doing this vid i didn't realize how heavy they bring in the crown during the season, pretty subtly, but really cool as a lead up. i assume its to hint at why gal/sauron still know each other's minds so well for thousands of years despite 'the door is shut' lmfao (sorry i have a lot of thoughts on this crown business skdjd)
